"I find it quite surprising that a restaurant, especially one of this size, would close the kitchen while customers are still dining. Additionally, the OpenTable app allows reservations up until 10 PM, which is their kitchen closing time, leaving me curious about how they handle 10 PM bookings. Our reservation was for 9 PM. Overall, I wouldn't recommend making a reservation within three hours of closing, as the service was marginal and the food didn't feel worth the price."

"The staff was EXCELLENT and so attentive! We had a larger crowd of 16 people for a birthday celebration. The food was hit or miss: The steaks were flavorless like, completely lacking any sort of seasoning or flavor. The pork chop was overcooked anything other than fish or chicken reminded me of a dog chew rawhide. The menus varied some tables had lunch menus, some had brunch menus (which are advertised as weekends only) and some had dinner menus. There was some confusion comparing choices to the website. They said they didn't have a children's menu to look at."

"Yesterday I visited this store with 2 family members. I just wanted to look around since I had never visited before. There were three young ladies standing and talking in the store and when we entered the store they quickly separated to different sections of the store. No one mentioned any daily specials, No one offered to help us decide what we wanted, no playful banter either. Really no one spokeOne employee stuck out because of her mask which had a name written in green 3 times on the mask. She really didn't appear to want to help us. Idk why. For too long we stood looking at each other (the young lady with the black and green mask) as if to say Can I get some help here? My brother knew what he wanted, but his GF and I didn't. She and I were going to try something new.....but settled on the fudge since it was the daily special and wouldn't cause us to be in the store any longer than necessary.Maybe my expectations were high, but there was no offer of ANY assistance making our purchases. We ended up getting the fudge (daily special) and some turtle candy.The chocolate was good. But the customer service was not as good. I've been to thrift stores that offered better customer service. Maybe I've watched too many hallmark movies, but I expected a different experience. Nothing free, but at least an introduction of their best sellers, or their newest product, or something. The assisting cashier....(not salesperson) seemed bothered by our presence and that was uncomfortable.Two stars because they had nice napkins and and the fudge was pretty good (but my grandmother's was better lol). If you visit, stay safe by wearing your mask and view the website for product information before hand to avoid being ignored in the store. I have no desire to return, my brother might but there are other places in the RDU area that have these same offerings.Stay woke and stay safe."

"We went to Firebirds for our 21st wedding anniversary. We wanted to try a new place and hadn't been here before. When we walked in, we could see that it was a vibrant and louder environment. It was a Friday night, so there was the usual hustle and bustle (and a wait list). The hostess was cool but not rude. Just busy. The seating was great. Seems like there is two restaurants going on here. The steak place near the kitchen and then a restaurant/bar-like experience as you enter. It took a bit of getting used to the two environments, but it seems fine. The food was really good and a mix of types. We had tater tots for an appetizer, because my wife loves them. But she had a filet for dinner. I went with a spicy chicken pasta dish that was really really good. We had a brownie with ice cream for dessert, which was also really good. Loved our food. The price wasn't a bank-breaker and the service was good. We'll go again for sure."

"On Sunday, I decided to treat myself to a food delivery. As a long distance truck driver, I don’t often get the chance to indulge my love of good food that someone else prepared (I’m not a cook . I had a layover near Omaha so this was the perfect opportunity. In the past I’ve found that with delivery such as Uber or Doordash, the food just isn’t the same portion or quality level as dining in might be. I’m happy to report I was proved wrong this time. I ordered several sides and appetizers because I love to sample unique menu items. I had the deviled eggs, fried cauliflower, port mushrooms, Parmesan mashed, cider slaw and carrot cake. Everything was beyond delicious with perfect sauces and seasoning. A special wow regarding the side dip that comes with the fried cauliflower! I would like to have a whole bowl of that. I’m not a fan of leftovers but I ate the rest of everything today for lunch. High fives to the kitchen!"

"I honestly think this place is overrated. I give it a 6.5/10. The atmosphere was nice and chill. So we ordered Lobster Spinach dip 8/10, Shrimp with Cajun Butter 5/10. The Shrimp was over cooked. A blind man could see that. I never chewed shrimp for so long. Lol but the flavor was decent! Mashed potatoes were light and buttery 9/10. My Sirloin Steak was ordered medium well. It was okay and more like well done. Not the worst steak I?ve ever had but certainly not to best. 6/10. The Philly egg rolls were absolutely delicious! 9.5/10!!!"

"The restaurant was offering a special deal for a sirloin steak with one side, and we decided to add a side salad to our order. The sirloin steak was the best I've ever had, measuring about 8 inches in diameter and 2 inches thick. It was incredibly tender and juicy, almost resembling filet mignon in texture. The side salad was a generous portion with lettuce, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, and grated cheese. I chose broccoli as my side, which was delicious with a flavorful dressing on top. My dining companion opted for a loaded baked potato, which was also fantastic with a crispy skin. We chose to sit outside for a quieter dining experience."

"I absolutely loved the food and the atmosphere here! Everything was delicious and the waitress was so amazing. I wish I remembered her name to give her a shout out. You guys really have amazing staff here. My partner got the Durango burger which was delicious with fries, I got the garlic sirloin steak with a loaded baked potato and I loved it. We shared a crème brûlée cheesecake for dessert. He also enjoyed your signature pineapple martinis! I had a pineapple drink as well, something off the mock tail menu. Which was delicious! Thanks for the great night out. We also shared Philly Cheesesteak egg rolls which were to die for! Little spicy but I loved them! I do have to add though, I only have two complaints. The pineapple agua Fresca drink was a bit too lime forward for me. It was really sour. I enjoyed it regardless but it says on the menu that it?s blended with charred pineapple and I was expecting to get more of that flavor. But like I said I enjoyed it regardless. My main complaint though is that I believe Firebirds needs to try to make their booths a little larger. Or at least make it so the table can move. My partner and I are on the bigger side and so the table was jabbing us in the ribs the entire time. I didn?t want to be bothersome so I didn?t ask for another table but it was uncomfortable. The table was bolted to the wall so it didn?t move. If it had moved I would?ve felt better. Regardless I enjoyed my experience and I?ll definitely be back again. Next time I?ll sit at a table! ?"

"Today was my first time visiting Firebirds Wood Fired Grill for a family outing. We had a great time. The restaurant’s ambiance is adherently chic. Nice and upscale decor accompanied by the perfect lighting that balances the comfortable seating. One of their main pieces is the large wine rack that is a part of the wall. Another attraction is the high rise top shelf liquor collections that provides a glass like wall that compliments the bar. I sampled the lobster and spinach appetizer. I ordered the Cilantro Grilled Chicken with pilaf rice, and their signature Firebirds Perfect Margarita, a Coca Cola, and carrot cake. Everything was flavored, savory, and delicious. Nice and friendly staff. Thank you, Jane! Parking spaces walking distance to the restaurant. Reasonable prices."

"We originally went to take advantage of the three for $34 deal. We were unaware that all the food came on one plate. The marketing was confusing as we thought we were ordering individually. The taste of the food was decent, but the service from our waitress was lacking. She mentioned her mind wasn't there, and it was evident they were understaffed. She brought bread without informing us, and when we asked for plates, they never arrived. We ended up eating the bread off the bread plate. They also brought drinks without straws. When it was time to place our orders, our waitress was unaware of the deal we were there for and had to ask us twice after we had already ordered. My companion's steak was not cooked to his liking (medium well) as he was not asked how he wanted it prepared. We frequent this restaurant at least twice a month, and this was not the experience we were expecting."

We were a party of 10, we all had specific orders requests and both our servers made sure we were happy with our food and drinks. They constantly checked in and worked so well with each other. This is the type of customer service that makes you want to come back. I would recommend trying FireBird Gaithersburg as all the food is delicious, drinks are the best try margarita. "excellent customer service. on the other night my man and I had dinner in a favorite restaurant of us, firebirds. my man ordered a new yorker strip and unfortunately it was a very hard, chewing steak. he has not complained about his meal until the manager mike warner appeared at our table to ask how our meal was. at this time my man shared his dissatisfaction with his steak. mike apologised and offered him another steak, which was refused because he had already eaten half of it. mike asked him several times if he could replace the meal. after mike had left the table, mike came back to us and we could say that mike wanted to correct the error and then offered him dessert, which we refused. at this place said mike that the only possibility to correct this situation was to take the meal out of our bill. of course we were very satisfied with this decision and then we shared with mike that we appreciate this, as we often visited this restaurant. we will continue to dine at firebirds and appreciate the excellent customer service that mike warner has shown this evening."

"We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The staff was courteous. The restaurant was intolerably hot, and when we asked that it be addressed, we were told that the AC was on. Service was very slow even though the restaurant was only about half full. About half of our party ordered a cocktail, and these were good. The food, however, was not. Literally half of one person's prime rib was obviously fat, and another person ordered sirloin, what was very tough. A dinner salad was bruised lettuce and drowning in dressing. The unpleasant temperature combined with slow service and substandard food made for a very poor experience. We finished our food and left as quickly as possible, because it was simply too hot to be tolerable. When the bill for four adults and one child comes to over $200, I expect much better than this. We've been to this restaurant several times, and this is the second visit in a row that was disappointing. I don't expect to be back."

"Such a beautiful and happy place for dinner. $88 for a NY Strip and a Salmon dinner plus beer and a custom Old Fashioned, so very reasonable. Love the fireplace and the colorful bar installation. Very busy, but we could easily have a conversation on our booth, so great acoustics! Very comfortable seating. Generous cocktail pour. His NY Strip was well prepared and of good quality, large too. My salmon was very tasty, with a citrus flavor that was very light and I loved it. It is more well done, like I love it, so maybe order less well done if you like it less flaky. I would not order the mixed vegetables again-very undercooked, no flavor, tiny portion. The bleu cheese sauce he ordered for his steak had zero flavor and was liquid, not creamy. He loved his steak fries! BLT salad is a meal in itself and so yummy. Excellent food for the cost. Our server was delightful! There were lots of large crowds and intimate tables, so room for everyone. Well go again. This was our 4th visit in about 4 years."

"Firebirds has the most amazing food. Everything we ordered and shared was wonderful. With inflation, the prices have gone up, but the menu is large and includes items that will work for almost any budget. The burgers and steaks were especially tasty, but the onion rings were quite memorable too. My husband keeps talking about his BLT salad and he's not usually one to comment much on food. He must have been really impressed. Oh, and the drinks...I can't forget to mention the drinks because they were outstanding. So much better than what you normally find at chain restaurants. Yum! It was a great night from beginning to end."
