"It’s clear that Sí Señor is a popular spot for locals, as I saw at least thirty people coming and going during my 45-minute visit. After confirming that I could dine in—despite a previous impression from their website suggesting it was takeout only—I placed my order for the Jumping Beef Sandwich, which features sliced beef with sautéed onions and tomatoes, special seasonings, melted manchego cheese, and avocado mayo on your choice of bread.
I waited about fifteen minutes for my order while seated at a small table in a cozy dining room filled with about twenty other customers, most of whom were engrossed in their phones. When my Jumping Beef Sandwich arrived, I was thrilled to find it utterly delicious—definitely one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in years. However, the only downside was that it was a bit challenging to eat due to the toppings sliding around.
A few times, components of the sandwich, including a sizable piece of beef at one point, slipped onto the foil wrapper I had spread out on the table as a placemat. I would have preferred to enjoy my sandwich on a dinner plate with a knife and fork, or possibly even a spoon, but that wasn’t an option.
