"Firstly, the food: We weren't served complimentary tortilla chips and salsa because the kitchen had run out, despite our reservation being at 5 PM—hardly late in the evening. While we were deciding what to order, the waitress approached us and claimed she overheard us discussing the tacos on the menu. She informed us that they were only available on the lunch menu, which wasn’t indicated anywhere. The only options available were appetizers, Mexican plates, main entrées, and salads. Since the tacos were a major reason for choosing this restaurant, one of our guests was left without any appealing options and ended up ordering an appetizer. Unfortunately, his dish arrived before anyone else’s meals, leaving him to sit alone while the rest of us ate. We didn’t think to mention that his appetizer should be served with our meals, but it was clear he was struggling to find something to order. The waitress should have realized that no one else had ordered appetizers. I ordered the chicken with mole sauce, but the portion of rice and beans was tiny, and the plate was drenched in mole sauce—though it was fairly tasty. Two of our guests ordered the pork tenderloin, which arrived very undercooked. They requested that it be sent back to the kitchen to be cooked more and placed on clean plates. It returned about 10 minutes later, while my husband and I were the only ones eating, and it came back on the same dirty plate. When our guests pointed out that they had asked for clean plates, the waitress informed them that the chef insisted they would be charged extra if the tenderloin was served on clean plates. As for the rest of the experience: the service was painfully slow, the waitress never checked if we were satisfied with our meals, and we had to flag her down for drink refills. Additionally, the restaurant was excessively noisy, making it difficult to hear conversations within our group of five. There were two large parties, and one group of around 20 people was so loud that we could barely hear ourselves talk. Overall, it was a horrible experience. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant, and I certainly won’t be returning."

"I ordered the Mahi-Mahi Poblano, which is a great deal at $12, assuming it’s actually Mahi-Mahi and not just a name on the menu. It was delicious and came with a creamy Poblano sauce that I really enjoyed. The rice and black beans that accompanied the dish were also tasty. I added a generous amount of salt to the Poblano sauce, while my bowl of sauce on the side was steaming hot, and I loved that! Although they did charge me for the extra sauce on the side, I can't really complain because it's fair. The complimentary chips and salsa were enjoyable, with the chips tasting fresh and the red salsa being well-seasoned. The Pollo Poblano was also good, prepared with the same sauce I liked, and my special request to have it without onions was fulfilled perfectly, which I appreciated. The warm flour tortillas that came with our meal were delicious as well. On our first visit, I remember speaking highly of each dish to the manager, so I have only positive things to say about both visits. I definitely recommend this place, especially since I can be picky about my meals. My wife, who is usually very critical, enjoyed it too, so that speaks volumes. However, I do have one complaint. I noticed in another review that someone received complimentary sopapillas from the manager. We were given them during our first visit too, but now I realize I'm not as special as I thought! Unfortunately, the sopapillas we received this time were stale and unacceptable. If you encounter bad sopapillas, don’t hesitate to send them back."
