"Pancakes bigger than your plate! I have heard about Jerry's Grille breakfasts since my youngest son visited my sister several years ago. We finally got to try it while visiting Jacksonville this past weekend and it was every bit as good as he said. Youdon't think of a sports pub serving an amazing breakfast, right? But they nail it better than most breakfast restaurants. Sincethey use Certified Angus Beef Brand (my favorite) I went with the country fried steak, 2 over easy eggs, and cheese grits. Thatcountry fried steak was crispilicious even after being adorned with scrumptuous sawmill gravy. The cheese grits were perfection, not bland and runny like many places serve. The portions were HUGE. Speaking of huge, have ya seen the Dog House with thepancake that eclipses your plate and topped to 2 eggs any style and smoked bacon or sausage? 3 people got that and it wasdelicious. I stole a bite of Alexis's pancake and it was light and fluffy. My youngest son got Tony's Big Breakfast, so big itcomes on two full sized plates. The staff were all fun and lively. The place was packed so I expected a wait but the kitchencrew were kicking all morning, cranking out platters of fantastic food. Reasonable prices too, I got the bill for our table andwas pleasantly surprised. Place makes me wish that I still lived in Jax so I could go there every weekend."

"The restaurant experience was disappointing for the amount of money paid. I didn't receive the Root Beer Float I ordered, but instead got a straw. The biscuits lacked the promised "smothered" country gravy, and the country potatoes were dry and overcooked. The gravy itself was quite plain. The turkey sausage links were decent, however. On the upside, my over easy eggs were cooked perfectly. I may give them another chance by trying their pancakes next time."

"This deli gets three stars due to its cleanliness, assortment of vegan products and generally professional staff. However, the purpose of this review is to alert modern thinkers the dangers of shopping here other than per immediate necessities. While, I stopped there for a few quick grocery needs, I overheard two k-9 cops with the NYPD, possibly Ryker 's division referring to a white gay customer as a white fag due to his lifestyle. I was alarmed by such commentary that I alerted the cashier nonchalantly about the matter for fear that the cops were becoming increasingly aggressive in their harassment. They told me they could care less as it 's not their concern. But, if something were to have happened then it would be their concern. Again, steer clear of this place unless it 's a last-minute emergency grocery purchase. I as a customer was thoroughly offended by the overall atmosphere of this deli."

"Came here twice in the past weekend and neither was a good experience. Service was distant and rude. The first waitress seemed confused and annoyed we were there. We had to walk around the restaurant to find someone to help us get our bill paid because she only brought a few checks out before she disappeared for about 15 minutes. Sweet potato fries were good. The second visit wasn’t any better… had the same vibe they didn’t want us there. She just seemed to lack personal skills and didn’t interact well with our table. Wasn’t able to order because it would interfere with the kitchen. Maybe that’s not her fault, but still is an issue with the restaurant as a whole. And when I got the food, I couldn’t eat it because it was incredibly salty. Bad experience overall. But… the sweet potato fries were good."

"I have never walked into a fairly new restaurant where the manager was disrespectful! Compared to the server “UK” which gave me details and a great experience for the first time in that establishment. The “MANAGER” called “VICTOR” was Disgustingly Disrespectful into the sense of knowing when the customer is right. I tried to explain the difference of the same meal I have ordered plenty of times and the difference in between how I received it (Not the way I ordered nor says on your menu). Yet he kept interrupting me as if to brush me off, and then have the nerve to say if you don’t like it leave, after he takes my money. Out of 28 of my associates across the street from this place none of us will recommend nor support this establishment until someone respectful is running it. This place is Not ideal for family and definitely not ideal for business travelers especially when the manager “Victor” is there. Food isn’t worth the pricing. Food is way over priced. Although the company needs to replace or Hire better management. I give the server “UK” props for being a good server and being really respectful for first time I visitor."

"It’s just not the same as the old place vibe. The food is significantly worse and our to go was packed horribly. The juice from the fruit ran all over the bag and into other items. It was ordered w the chicken salad scoop w three almond slices. is there an almond shortage?? No care given. Why can’t they put the fruit in a side container with a LID?? Oh wow that’s a concept. Only saving grace is Kevin still makes a mean martini but no blue cheese olives for a dirty martini? Once they took pride in their bar drinks but I’m not seeing that. The place was stale, no real energy or noticeable background music don’t need it loud . It’s sad to see the decline of what was once a place cherished by regulars. It’s a no for us now."

"The dish could have benefited from a bit more meat than what I ordered, but other than that, it was fantastic! And I haven't even smoked yet! As a New Yorker, I can be a bit particular—understandably! However, it truly just needed a little extra meat to make each bite perfect. I'm not trying to be overly critical; it's just a minor observation. Everything else was expertly flavored and well-cooked, especially with the thicker crust. Overall, it was excellent!"

"We've been working in this area for seven weeks and have tried many lunch spots. I can confidently say that this is our favorite place. We’ve been here several times and have never encountered a bad server, bad food, or any surprises! The staff is friendly, the vibe is diverse and enjoyable, and the atmosphere is welcoming. It's a place I wish was closer to home, but we're so glad it was nearby during our time here. Thank you, East End, for all the delicious, high-quality dishes! We’ll be back soon."

"Big Larry’s is a local attraction. Very popular with locals. It’s great if you want to over indulge. It’s very casual, order at the counter and is delivered. It’s a great “burger joint.” Parking: It’s a large lot with handicap parking. Kid-friendliness: My experience was the customers were mostly families. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch"

"My boyfriend and I popped in for a quick, late dinner at like 8:50pm last night... our mistake, we totally missed that they closed at 9pm. We assumed closing time was a bit later, like 10pm because it was a Saturday. We've never been here before, so we weren't familiar with their hours.. and of course didn't pay attention to the sign. The guy at the register was nice, said they were closing soon. We apologized for our timing and expressed that we didnt want to put an order in to hold them up, but he assured us that a to go order was OK. There was a middle aged, thin, dark haired caucasian female employee sweeping/cleaning the lobby who was incredibly rude, though. While waiting for our food, my boyfriend was in her way at one point. He apologized and moved immediately, her response was super pleasant. But as we continued to wait, a few more people came in. There was also a table that was finishing up their meal kinda slowly. I get that she was frustrated over those things due to it being near/at closing time, but she was walking around audibly complaining or otherwise expressing her aggravation with the customers coming in/ being there near/at closing time. Like at one point, someone came in as she was sweeping near us. She slammed the broom against the wall and let out a kind of loud scream/sigh type noise as she stomped by us the turn the open sign off. Like, loud enough to startle us haha. Not a super big deal, I know. But in the moment it was just.. super inappropriate and unnecessary. The food was pretty good... but we will probably not be back anytime soon because of the way that employee acted. I've worked in retail and food service, too. For years and years. Closing time customers happen. Some on accident, though! It's just the nature of the beast. My suggestion would be to turn closing time customers away, politely, instead of taking their order then parading around in front of them as if they've insulted you personally."

"Dining Experience: Dinner Price Range: $10–20 per person Food Rating: 4/5 Service Rating: 4/5 Atmosphere Rating: 5/5 If you're looking for a great dining experience, this restaurant is a fantastic choice. The food is solid, scoring a 4 out of 5, and the service is equally commendable, also rating a 4 out of 5. However, what truly stands out is the atmosphere, which deserves a perfect 5. For a delightful meal, I highly recommend trying their wings—they're a must-have!"

"Good food, it's just a shame there's no obvious repairs happening. In the booths, most have tears or cuts in the semi-added seating. Yes, they found black duct tape to cover the many black rips. Rather than having all booths replacing the vinyl back seating. We've never understood why the main entrance doors, that do have adjustable hydrogen brackets. Every single time someone opens or exists one of those very heavy doors, everyone HEARS one of the doors slams hard. We used to hear this to the owner or a employ about the deafening bam. It's been a while since we saw her around so we're not sure if it's been sold or what. Again, the food is still fine, it just needs some TLC."

"We eat here pretty often, in fact, it's my sister favorite place to go. Typically we are happy and enjoy everything but yesterday was a different experience. The first thing was the waitress. She seemed to argue over 1 side plus coleslaw. Was pretty forcefull regarding coleslaw was a mandatory side. We don't like coleslaw and always substitute the slaw. It was just forcefull for no reason. She was set on making the point it's one side plus slaw. It really just set the tone. The second thing was the appetizer plates. Mine was dirty with old dry food crusted on from the previous service. Just gross. The poor lighting made it hard to see. I saw the dirty plate after I added my appetizer. I am happy I saw it and skipped eating off that plate. At that point, we should have left but my sister was set to stay. The waitress brought me a new plate but never offered to replace the appetizer that was added onto the dirty plate. The topping on the cake was the sick stomach as a parting gift. Apparently the food was bad. It tasted good as usual but mine and my sisters food ended up proving bad. We ordered the same exact main, steak with gargandola. The other two in the party had other items and liked their food with no issue in fact the chicken dish one had was superb. The fact is that within 1 hour after eating the steak dish both were sick. Later, I gave my leftovers to my spouse at home and like clockwork he too was sick about 45 minutes after. I was hoping my stomach issue wasn't the food but I was wrong. The other two in our party were fine and never got sick. That is how we know it was our specific mains as it is the only food in common and occurred 45 to 1 hour after eating. Steak with gargandola a dinner item they allow to be ordered at lunch. On a side note, my steak was order medium rare and came out very rare almost raw so I didn't eat that much either still made me super sick. I originally planned to recook at home later. Again, we didn't know we were gonna get sick and after we did get sick we were not sure it was actually the food. It tasted good. However, we figured it out after my spouse (who didnt eat with us) ate my leftovers later. He too had the same reaction and got sick about 45 minutes later. I say all this to say, as a long time customer that routinely drops over 100 bucks when we go, I won't be back. An attitude, dirty plate and stomach issues were enough gifts for the day. Do better Southwest Grill."

"So, I'm passing through the area. I stopped for the night and didn't want the fast food experience for dinner. I see Shoney's close to my hotel. I haven't been to a Shoney's in 30 plus years. I order the fried fish from my server, Amaya, who was very cheerful and professional. The fish was cooked to a crispy golden brown perfect. Thanks for a great dinner and excellent service."

"I want to start off by saying that our waiter was so nice and kind, he took good care of us and made sure we had drinks. That 's why I 'm giving Service five stars. But sadly, that 's the only nice thing I have to say. I ordered the cod and shrimp with mac and cheese and fries as my two sides. My first red flag was that the mac and cheese was some kind of Velveeta mac and cheese from the box, except it was worse than the Velveeta brand. Unflavorful and gross. The cod was absolutely dreadful. It was soaked in grease and so overcooked and chewy that my jaw actually really hurts from having to chew it so much so that I didn 't choke on it. The shrimp was also loaded with grease but at least it wasn 't overcooked like the cod. The fries were nothing to write home about. I also saw a lot of people vaping inside despite there being signs inside that said No Vaping . I had such high hopes for this place. I really did. I hope the wait staff realizes that they were excellent, but the cooks could definitely use a LOT of improvement."

"I thoroughly enjoy dining at Joe's Diner. The hotdogs, although not Carolina Reds, are exceptionally delicious. The fries are perfectly cooked, and the crinkle fries are especially tasty. If you're not in the mood for a quarter-pound hotdog, you can opt for the puppy dog instead. They also offer burgers, Reubens, and breakfast all day long, ensuring there's something for everyone!"
