"I always noticed Volcano when driving out of Gateway Blvd. So I decided to try it with a friend.<br/ <br/ Attentive, friendly servers and warm service. Kimono girls make the experience more fun and appealing. The place is clean and more elegant compared to its sister restaurant Maki Maki (for those who didn 't know . Expect the same menu of Japanese Vietnamese cuisine with a 'Tapas ' menu featuring an array of unique appetizers/small food.<br/ <br/ I ordered the Bun Bo Hue. It was flavorful and spicy. Came in a huge portion. However, the broth to noodle ratio wasn 't balanced (too much soup . Still decent though, and I love accompanying it with rolls. Try it : <br/ <br/ Also ordered the Dragon Eyes Roll, a typical Japanese restaurant favourite. This one at Volcano is a bit bland, the salmon was overcooked and it could 've used more Sriracha aioli. Probably would opt-out for a different maki.<br/ <br/ Third order was the Volcano Roll. Probably their signature maki which consists of BBQ eel, shrimp tempura and a spicy cream sauce topped with tobiko. I honestly liked the roll in the beginning...but when it came down to the last few pieces, the rice tasted a bit 'tangy '? Wasn 't expecting that. It would taste better if they cooked the rice correctly.<br/ <br/ Overall. The food was average, prices were a tad high for the quality of the rolls. But I would probably visit again if I was craving the Vietnamese Japanese combo again. Or just go to Maki-Maki if i wasn 't further south :"
