"We decided to order from this restaurant because of the great reviews. But I was sadly disappointed. The food arrived warm. I ordered the chicken BBQ nachos (sorry folks, don 't like sour cream). The avocado was not a bright green, but ok, it was the evening avocado does not like to be left out. The BBQ chicken was very good. BUT...I was halfway through my meal when I found a used diabetic test strip and lancet in my food. I was mortified! That is just disgusting. It is also a health and safety issue. My son immediately called The Gather Inn Again, had to leave his name and number. The owner did get back to him today. Unfortunately the owner #jaimedenardomicucci (Instragram name) was extremely rude. We also call Uber, though we know they only deliver and they were floored that such a thing even happened! And P.S. Uber called us back today to see how things were and inquired about any health issues. A shout out to Uber for being kind and considerate throughout this ordeal. Unlike the owner. Thank you Uber. I posted the same picture here on Instragram and the owners response was totally unacceptable. I was going to copy paste her response, but then I thought better of it and screen shot her accusations and my response. She accused me of photoshopping the pic. And basically that I was lying. Why in the name of all the G ds G ddesses would I make up such a thing? I never ordered from you before. And it is not like I was a Karen and b*tched about a piece of hair in my food. This is appalling! This is a health and safety issue. This is not something that happens all the time. Hair in the food yes. Used test strips needles a hard NO!!! I was so sick about this all night. I went to the doctor 's today and he was very angry that a restaurant would just disregard something like this. He immediately tested me for HIV (highly unlikely but better safe then sorry) and Hepatitis A, B C (highly likely). I have to wait 6 weeks to see if any symptoms start to appear. So while she is accusing me of lying, I have wait 6 weeks to see if I am sick with something. So to sum up this drama.... A). I will NEVER order from this place again B). The owner is rude and totally disrespectable toward their customers C). Clearly they do not give a **** about their business"
