"Shortly after, we were seated and waited for our server to arrive. Within about five minutes, she came by to take our drink orders, but we weren’t given a drink menu as we usually are. She informed us that we could start at the salad bar, which was disappointing; many items were poorly stocked, and several were entirely unavailable.
Next, our server brought around the bread, plantains, and mashed potatoes. While the bread and plantains lived up to their usual excellence, the mashed potatoes were dry and hard, lacking their typical soft and fluffy quality.
When the meats started coming, we had requested them medium rare, but the first four selections were overcooked on the outside, looking as if they had been reheated multiple times. The meat was dense and chewy, not at all what we expect from Texas de Brazil. Thankfully, some of the later selections were better and seemed fresh.
Our server did refill our water twice, which was appreciated, although she appeared quite busy. After we finished our meal, we waited patiently to discuss dessert with her, but after 10-15 minutes without seeing her, we grew concerned. We noticed her attending other tables and a larger party, but despite our efforts to get her attention, we were unsuccessful. After 30 minutes of waiting, we eventually went to the host stand to notify them. Our server was informed and finally brought our check, and we left."
