"I made the reservation over a month ahead of time for our anniversary and we did not get seated at a very good table (out on the sidewalk away from the band and main section of tables. The food was excellent but service was very, very slow. Recommend to a friend? Not as heartily as I have in the past."

"The food was delicious and the portions were large. We got too much to mention but it was all so delicious! Pro tip: the children’s pizza is large so it’s enough for 2 adults. You can feed multiple children with one kids pizza. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back soon!"

"I had dinner there with my family after receiving rave reviews of the restaurant. Our server was very nice, but marginally incompetent. He didn't know many details about the menu when asked for details. One of the starters was served without any of the 3 ingredients (olives with canned citrus and fried parsley - served without the fried parsley - not the waiter's fault). The waiter presented the special as an appetizer, but it was actually an appetizer. My main course (or should I say "starter") was served about 5 minutes after the rest of my table had already served their main courses. I was able to order another main course when it was clear that I had ordered an appetizer, but by then the rest of the table was done with the main course. The rest of the people at my table enjoyed the food and the beers were delicious, but overall my experience was not great."

"We were three adults with two (nicely dressed and well mannered) kids at 5 in the evening on a Sunday. The restaurant was 1/2 empty and the rude hostess shoved us at a tall bar table in between a service station and the kitchen door. After asking someone other than the hostess were moved to a regular table. The waitstaff was either overwhelmed or just terribly trained. Service took forever, orders were wrong, and the music was unnecessarily loud. BBQ brisket tasted like it was pounded with a mallet and soaked in liquid smoke. The one good thing I can say about this place is that the onion rings were incredible."

"I came here for dinner on Valentine's Day and couldn't have been happier. Our waiter was very polite and knowledgeable and was a phenomenal contribution to the overall ambiance of the restaurant. The food was excellent and worth the price we ordered the carpaccio, the specialty shrimp pasta offered that day, and a pizza diavolo, and they were all great. I'm no expert in Italian food, but I would happily recommend this restaurant to a friend."

"My daughter and son-in-law were married, on October 7, at Gervasi. It was such a perfect venue for their small wedding of 40 guests. We were so lucky to have a beautiful, fall day. Over a year of planning and putting everything together. It all fell perfectly into place. They were married, in the Conservatory, followed by a luncheon at the Bistro. We stayed in one of the Villas. The Villa was spectacular. Sarah coordinated the rehearsal and the wedding at the Conservatory. The food at the Bistro was amazing. Brad and the wait staff did an incredible job of looking after us and all of our guests. Our guests were so impressed and complimentary about the whole day and the venue. A shout out to all of our (outside) vendors for doing their jobs so well-All Occasions Bakery, Perfect Harmony Violin (Regina), Taylor Rosemary Beauty (Lianna Z), Nikki’s Perfect Petal Designs (Nikki, Jordan staff), Galleria Gowns (Stacy staff), and This Lovely Light (Allison staff)."

"We stumbled upon Baccano and couldn't have been more delighted to discover this hidden treasure! As avid Italian food enthusiasts, we decided to sample a variety of dishes from the menu. The pizzas featured unique toppings that I never imagined would work so well together—they left me utterly speechless. The pizza with pecans was particularly outstanding; it had a crispy texture paired with a rich, savory crust. The balance of toppings was just right, and the prosciutto was incredibly fresh and perfectly sliced. All the dishes paired beautifully with San Pellegrino sodas, so we made sure to try every flavor. And we can't forget about dessert—the grand finale was a Nutella calzone! It was simply heavenly. This kind of restaurant is hard to come by; you absolutely have to visit. "This is authentic Italian food and everything about this place is fantastic. Everything tastes extremely fresh and every noodle is cooked to perfection. The portions are large and their bread is warm and soft, no butter necessary.The staff and service would make this place worth going to even if the food wasn't so fantastic. Everyone is extremely personable and kind. I will be recommending this place to anyone and everyone.No wine sold on-site but they do solve this with an $8 uncorking fee and a liquor store 15 feet away. Which I would have usually dropped a star for but the food and staff make every penny worth it at this place."

"We stumbled into this restaurant one night, not expecting much since it was the only place open nearby, but it completely blew us away! The food was incredible—truly the best I’ve ever tasted—and the owner made the experience even more special. I was on a birthday trip and had initially planned to visit just once, but we ended up going back multiple times. It quickly became the highlight of our day. I wish I could remember the owner's name because he really made my friend and me feel like part of his family. And I must mention, I'm absolutely in love with the sangria and cannolis!"

"This place is expensive. I will say that this place is very expensive once you eat with several people. It's good for a person. So they have these gluten-free crusts. I had to call and ask if the crust was gluten-free because it is a very good knock. It's flocky that it's well baked. It is crispy does not have the evil aftertaste of gluten-free foods that we all know gluten-free people too well. It's so good. I think it's better than the regular crust. Amazing."

"I ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza with a Neapolitan crust and some garlic bread. The pizza was decent—neither outstanding nor bad—but it was a bit dry for my taste. However, the crust was excellent. I was really let down by what this restaurant calls garlic bread. Their version consists of sliced and toasted baguette pieces brushed with oil and a hint of garlic flavor, which was not what I anticipated. I was expecting something more like garlic rolls or something similar. I would definitely suggest steering clear of the garlic bread."

"I was recommended this place as a really good Neapolitan pizza place and decided to check it out. Overall, it was just ok. I think it definitely fits with the “Vera Pizza Napoletana” by technical measures, as in the way it’s cooked and the ingredients. That said, it just wasn’t particularly good. The dough wasn’t nice and pillowy stretchy, and didn’t have much flavor. The tomato sauce was ok. The buffalo mozzarella was good. The prosciutto I got on top was just thick slices (so they were hard to eat) of what I assume was American prosciutto not a good kind like Parma. The appetizers (meat balls, and arancini) were also just ok. Anyways, I wouldn’t actively avoid the place, but I don’t see what the fuss is about. There are other Vera Pizza Napoletana places within a few miles that are significantly better."

"Made a reservation after reading reviews. The space is cute and the atmosphere fun, however, was extremely disappointed in the food. The salad was standard. Both Pizzas were ordered were over peppered and we tasted pepper in every bite over powering everything else. The burrata pizza is actually a warm focaccia disc with a lump of cold burrata and tomatos so basically a capresse salad on the the focaccia. They provided us with a bottle of water, but when it was empty they removed it and didn't ask if we wanted more (which we did due to the pepper). The second pizza was the eggplant which was better except again for the pepper."

"The hot chicken placed on top of the salad created a soggy mess of lettuce by the time it arrived. For takeout orders, it's better to serve the chicken on the side so that customers can add it themselves when they're ready to eat, ensuring the lettuce stays crisp."

"I ordered salchipapa without any meat due to my religious dietary restrictions. We point out about this to the server when we order. I start eating my food, I found a hotdog in my food!! We told the server about this situation and I did not want to continue eating. Because I lost my appetite. The most annoying part was they charge me for the wrong food even though I told them about my dietary restrictions. This was disrespectful. They did not even want to fix their fault. Plus they charge me $2 extra for the lettuce. So basically they charge me more for vegetarian salchipapa(! compared to regular salchipapa price. I don’t recommend this restaurant at all!! Horrible experience!!!"
