"My wife and I treated our niece to a birthday dinner. We sat in the outdoor area out front, and had a very nice experience. Service was great (as always). Food was excellent (as always). When I let the waiter know it was our niece's birthday, he arranged for a cannoli and a birthday candle for her (on top of the tire misu which is her favorite dessert). We really like to bring friends and guests to Fresco Grill with us."

"Not sure I understand the stars from anyone! We used to come here all the time when I was a kid. I remember my family looking so forward to the calamari. It was disappointing. My husband ordered a pizza which wasn’t cooked all the way thru. It was actually raw in the middle. He ate the crust. We would have told the waiter to put it back in the oven for a bit but we couldn’t find him. There were a few parties in the banquet rooms but only us and more couples in the dining room. Looks like the restaurant is at the end of its journey. Needless to say.. we will mor give it another chance."

"One of the best dining experiences we've had here in Santa Cruz. It all began ei a table, ready, at our reservation time. Immediate seating. Prompt attention to our desires for beverage and appetizer. Served by expediters with accuracy and politeness. THe owner (I guess) stopped by for a brief chat a couple of times. The food kids meals to the specials wonderful! Not rushed to turn the table. THe whole evening was remarkable."

"One downside is that the decor feels a bit dated and could use a refresh. Though the restaurant has a long-standing history and is one of the original Italian spots in the area, its appearance could benefit from some modernization. I also noticed they've recently added a table at the front displaying products for sale, which is a fantastic addition since there's no Italian market nearby. However, I was extremely disappointed when my takeout order arrived without any utensils, which are essential for enjoying the meal—especially since I had just picked it up. Not everyone may have access to utensils at home, and it can be inconvenient to search for them. Additionally, the Spaghetti Contadina I ordered was a letdown; the noodles were all broken and didn't look appetizing, rendering the dish a waste as no one in my family wanted to try it. This was the first time I've experienced such an unsatisfactory visit to this restaurant. On a positive note, I appreciate that they are able to accommodate larger tables, making it a great option for gatherings."

"Definitely lived up to my expectations, which were high! Got the Mob Boss and the Margherita. Two very different pizzas all around- perfection in both. Crusts were so flavorful- when's the last time you said THAT about a pizza? All toppings were top- notch with serious flavor depth. The place is quirky with lots of space between tables, not crammed together like some joints. Staff is knowledgeable, and service is prompt. If you have a healthy respect and love for good pizza, make the visit. It will not disappoint!"

"Our friends selected this restaurant based on a recommendation. Upon arrival, we noticed that all the tables were dirty so we chose the cleanest one available. Our server appeared to be a young child, new to the job and inexperienced. He was slow and seemed unsure of what he was doing. We ordered two pizzas with the same toppings, one of which was supposed to be gluten-free. When we asked if we could have the gluten-free pizza with the same toppings, the server initially said yes but later claimed it was only available in one size. When the pizzas arrived, the gluten-free option turned out to be a plain cheese pizza without the requested toppings. When we inquired about this, the server informed us that they couldn't customize the gluten-free pizzas as they were pre-made and frozen. We decided to eat the pizza anyway, even though it was not what we had ordered. The taste was reminiscent of a frozen pizza that could have been made at home. Additionally, my companion found the regular pizza to be subpar as well."

"We were absolutely thrilled with our meal! Our server, Sally, was fantastic! Despite the busy Christmas night, she managed everything like a true professional. She made great suggestions, engaged with us about our food choices, and was very personable. The roasted Brussels sprouts were followed by a delicious garden salad. Ron ordered the lamb chops, and the fennel mustard sauce was incredible! I had the spinach ravioli, which was so good it practically melted in my mouth! The chocolate pie was the perfect ending to our meal. The ambiance was festive, and while some music could have enhanced the atmosphere, it wasn't necessary. We recently moved to Maui from Kauai, and our dining experience in Makawao was truly wonderful! Thank you so much!"

"We visited this restaurant after hearing great things about it, and it truly exceeded our expectations! We ordered the special cannelloni, penne alla paesana, and pizza caprino, and every single dish was exceptional! Each ingredient was perfectly balanced, and we didn't feel overwhelmed after our meal. We really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the attentive, friendly servers. Overall, this place was a fantastic discovery! This charming Italian restaurant, located right in the heart of Persian Square, turned out to be the best Italian food we've experienced in LA, despite having traveled extensively to try various pasta and pizza spots. "What a wonderful restaurant! Our waitress Carla was incredibly welcoming and hospitable. She checked on us at the perfect times and not when we were stuffing the delicious food in our mouths lol. We had the prosciutto and mozzarella bruschetta which wastoasted but still soft enough to cut and the bread doesn't crack into a million pieces. It was fresh and delicate and thebalsamic glaze was the perfect topper! (Careful, it's sticky! My wife had the Rosé pasta which she really enjoyed, the sauce was hearty and robust with flavor. I had the pesto spaghetti which was probably as close to italian pesto as I've ever had in anAmerican restaurant. Phenomenal doesn't begin to describe it. The pasta was also perfectly cooked, no soggy noodles in thisplace! We finished everything off with the Nutella calzone. Is it made for four people? Yes. Did we both finish it off?Absolutely. No regrets. Capelli D'Angelo was fantastic and will be our new spot for Italian dining. If you love pasta and wantthe fine dining flavors at a bank account friendly price you should be here."

"Absolutely delicious Italian food. My wife and I found this place while in town for a concert and gave it a try. It was a stifling 116 degrees and as we poured our way through the door looking for relief from the heat. The place is tucked away in a corner of nice little shopping center. The staff is friendly and the place is cleananf kempt (minus a fidgety front door ? with an Italian/sports bar feel. It presents itself as an Italian place without all the stuffiness one might expect from a high-end place. The menu was pretty big with what seemed like a lot of authentic Italian dishes. I settled for the homemade beef short rib ravioli and my wife got the tried and true chicken parmesan while starting with some garlic flatbread. I 'll be honest, I was concerned because sometimes when local restaurants claim everything is homemade, it can be difficult to live up to that promise, especially when the place isn 't super busy, which this place wasnt, on a Friday night at 5 pm. The flatbread came out and within just a few minutes it was gone. Remarkably flaky dough, thin and crispy but soft with just the right touch of garlic and butter. It was absolutely delicious and it makes me regret not getting a pizza if that 's similar to how the crust is. My ravioli was fresh, had amazing flavor and perfectly cooked vegetables. My wife 's chicken parmesan was exactly the same. The food was so good! Great flavors with an obvious nod to being homemade and authentic as they didn 't taste as one-dimensional like typical american-italian places we are used to. We aren 't in this area often, but will for sure go back just to deep dive into that menu. If your in the area, you need to give this place a go, the food is fantastic!"

"We've ordered pizza for the office from this place before but just plain cheese and pepperoni. It was Very very good pizza so we wanted to stop in and check it out first hand. We had the focaccia bread, the Pear e Brie pizza and then a Nutella pizza (if you checked in on Yelp you got it for free). Everything was by far AMAZING! Very spacious and clean restaurant. Friendly service...a little slow considering the place was not full...but definitely a place to check out!"

"I chose this place for Valentines day for me GF. On entering we noticed the nice ambiance and lot of other couples seated next to us. On asking for menu we were informed about Valentines day 3 course menu...we ordered Calamari rings, branzino, lamb chops and chocolate cake. Service was extremely slow as appetizers took over 20 minutes to arrive. After that main course took over 45 minutes to arrive...at the end of it we were just waiting to finish our dessert and get the hell out. On asking, the manager apologised about slow kitchen and slow service as they were understaffed and many chefs and waiters did not show up that day (Which i dont believe as theres always backup..so i assume its management being cheap) We spent over $200 for 2 people and in the end we just went home and slept after being kept waiting for our food. The only redemption is that the food was decent...branzino was very underseasoned and overall the menu options were very limited. Food is above average but You can have a much cheaper meal with 10 times better service for half the price even in manhattan...would not recommend. P.S: I work in restaurants and we had this slow a service, our management would take strong action and chef would kick our butt."

"A hardworking family owned and operated Pizza and Pasta restaurant in the Publix Shopping Center that is absolutely amazing! I love their NY Style pizza and their garlic knots! Delicious! Their service is always friendly and efficient! It has a real NYC pizza joint vibe! Seating inside and outside! TV’s, wine and beer! Very affordable! A great value! Lots of easy parking!I love their slices, it’s a great lunch deal and they are delicious! Perfect blend of cheese and sauce and it’s a perfect “NY fold” to eat it.. I love their garlic knots so light and fluffy and huge!They have a huge menu- something for everyone!I definitely recommend! It’s important to support our local family business! Especially when they are delicious!"
