"$12 for 3 Tinga Tostadas – 8/10. The ingredients were freshly chopped, and the portion was enough to satisfy me. However, I was a bit disappointed that the tostadas appeared to be store-bought Guerrero-style ones, similar to the $2 supermarket variety, whereas other authentic Mexican restaurants usually serve homemade tostadas. I had a good time here, especially since La Rosa de Guadalupe was playing, and the atmosphere was enjoyable.
As for the food, I also tried a carnitas taco. Being Mexican, I found the tortilla slightly undercooked, breaking by the last bite – just 30 seconds more on the grill would have made it perfect for me. If you’re not Mexican, it might not bother you. But, the ingredients were very fresh. Since I didn’t request a crispy tortilla, it doesn’t affect my overall rating, so I’ll give the tacos a 10/10.
The server was friendly and quick!"
