"Upon our arrival, our coats were checked at the door, and we were seated promptly, even though we were a few minutes late due to road conditions. Our waitress, Sonya, was incredibly helpful, polite, articulate, and friendly. She provided us with detailed information about the menu items, and despite the great descriptions, we had more questions. Sonya was amazing! We really appreciated her service.
The drink menu was impressive as well. For appetizers, we ordered raw oysters and fried calamari, both of which were delicious. Now, onto the main event: the steaks! Being from the South, we have a deep love for beef, particularly steak. All four of us agreed that the steaks were phenomenal! Three of us had the 10oz Ribeye, and one of us had the 6oz Filet Mignon. They were seasoned to perfection and cooked rare, with presentation that was impeccable! The steaks were incredibly tender and practically melted in our mouths. We shared the generous side portions, and we loved the Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes.
For dessert, we indulged in the lava cake, which was truly heavenly! We couldn’t have been more satisfied with our experience. We definitely discovered a hidden gem in New Haven. Once word gets out, I’m sure it won’t be as easy to snag a reservation."
