"This place exceeded my expectations. The chips always comes out warm and fresh and the salsa and queso are fresh also. The entree portion sizes are huge and extremely filling. "I completely understand that management doesn’t have full control over how customers behave, but the young male waitstaff was lingering around their booth, practically engaging in lap dances with these women. There was no effort from management to address this situation; instead, the staff seemed to encourage it. I hope the owners or management take note of this review and take appropriate action. We will not be coming back. As for kid-friendliness, this place is definitely NOT suitable for children, given the customers shouting obscenities and the waitstaff's inappropriate behavior."

"We made a reservation for six and arrived right on time, where we were seated promptly. We had a cozy corner bench with one person at the table. The menu was easy to read and offered a wide variety of choices. Our waiter was extremely accommodating. My Mexican husband said the food tasted very authentic—one of the best meals we've had here in the states. The decor created a comfortable atmosphere, and the rest of our party felt the same way. We will definitely be returning!"

"The food was flavorful, but as someone else stated, the shrimp was cooked dirty. Sangria wasn't very strong, yet very refreshing on a hot summer day. The waiter was awful. No personality, forgot my chips and salsa, had to ask even. They came after my meal. I asked for beans instead of rice, but got rice anyway. There are better choices nearby. You have to pay at the register, no table service which is super lame today."

I ended up having to speak with a manager and show him their own website just to get the deal, which was a bit pointless at that stage. "The food was tasty, and the prices were reasonable. Our waiter at the bar was very helpful with our orders. We were undecided about what to get, so he customized our plates for us. I had a choice between cheese and chicken mole enchiladas, and he suggested the #1 special plate, which included one cheese enchilada, one mole enchilada, a tamale, and a crispy beef taco. One of my friends was considering the bacon-wrapped shrimp, so he added two of those as a side. I also recommended the tortilla soup, which has received great reviews; my friend agreed and ordered it as well. The chicken mole enchiladas were sweeter than what I’ve had at many other places—not the sweetest I've tasted, but definitely on the sweet side. However, the shredded chicken inside could have used a bit more flavor. The bacon-wrapped jalapeños were quite spicy, so unless you love heat, a full order might be too much for one person to handle as an appetizer. I had visited this restaurant several years ago and decided to give it another chance since San Antonio has so many Mexican dining options. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would definitely return to try more dishes."

"I ordered a kids meal for my granddaughter. She ordered chicken tenders and rice. When we got her meal he brought chicken and fries. I told him she ordered rice so he brought rice. Then when we paid we were told we had to pay for the rice even though it was thier mistake because they brought the wrong thing. Then the manager wanted to argue about it. I have never been so humiliated and was made to feel belittled. Their customer service sucks. And the waiter treated us bad too"

"I absolutely loved this restaurant. I ordered the Quesabirria and I must say, I am very particular about my Birria. The dish was delicious, and by adding a bit of salt to the broth, I was able to enhance the spice flavor even more. The extra hot salsa served with the dish was a great addition. The meat and cheese inside the tortillas was fantastic and there was plenty of it. The dish also came with rice, which I poured the leftover broth onto, and it was just as excellent. The restaurant has a fun Mexican decor, despite the name not quite matching, and the food was amazing. I tried a huge quesadilla with steak, chicken, and shrimp for a reasonable price, and the choriqueso dip was top-notch. The salsa was flavorful and fresh, the chips were crispy and warm, and the service was very attentive. From the outside, the restaurant may not look like much, but I highly recommend giving it a try. It's a great experience."

"This place is absolutely amazing. I first came here with my Daughter and her family so the memories I have here mean the world to me. Every time I visit I am reminded of them and feel close to them again since they have moved so far away. The have aloaded fries plate that is absolutely amazing. All the food has been wonderful and the atmosphere is awesome! The service isstellar and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are friendly and inviting and make you feel welcome. They do not rush youinto a decision and are willing to make recommendations that fit exactly what you didn't know you wanted! Every time I come hereI find a new favorite. They are very kid/family friendly and are very patient with little ones. My granddaughter is autistic andthey had so much patience with her that it was heartwarming. They soon had her out of her shell and smiling and laughing andloving being there. As a family we felt welcomed and embraced. We were not made to feel uncomfortable for the littles getting alittle loud and they stopped by to laugh with the littles. This is definitely a place I will return to both as a family and as acouple. The staff makes this a great place and the exceptional food just puts the icing on the cake!!!"

"Came in to eat dinner with my family and I ordered some Quesabirrias. Let me tell you that what they serve is not considered a quesabirria. It looked gross too. Tried a little bit of the sauce and it is an enchilada sauce. Do yourself a favor and do not order it. There are other places that actually have them. When I spoke up about them not being quesabirrias the waitress was very dismissive and kept pushing me on eating them. She said she would talk to her manager. Manager never showed up. Instead he sent over the broth that the Quesabirrias are supposed to be dipped in. I told her again I didn 't want them and she got upset. Never been treated in such away and didn 't even get to order new food. There definitely was not a language barrier either as I am a Latina and had this conversation in Spanish with my server."

"P.S. I just read another review claiming there are no meatless options and that beans and rice always contain meat. That's not true. I've been dining here a few times a month for the last eight years, and I’ve never encountered any meat in the beans or rice. It's strange to hear that!"
