"Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill from there. While the drinks were acceptable, our lone waitress—who was very kind—was overwhelmed, serving us one by one on her own. It took 15 minutes for the entire group to receive their drinks. We ordered pizza as an appetizer, which turned out to be one of the few highlights of our evening. The Greek salad was also decent, but these were the only items that might have earned this place more than a single star. Sadly, they weren't enough to salvage the meal. For dinner, our group ordered cacio e pepe, pasta all'amatriciana, and chicken karrage. The pasta appeared to have been poorly cooked; it was overcooked in some areas while undercooked in others. The term "al dente" took on a new meaning, as many pieces were barely cooked and stuck together. The cacio e pepe was worse than boxed mac and cheese, and the amatriciana was so bland that even salt and pepper couldn’t save it. The chicken karrage, described as a Japanese bento box-style dish, turned out to be just six sad chicken pieces on a plate, without any sauce. Additionally, it took around 45 minutes for our main courses to arrive. Overall, this was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I was extremely disappointed, especially since ZeroZero had received excellent reviews. It felt like our dining party had been trapped in a terrible restaurant disguised as something else. I believe ZeroZero should be removed from OpenTable immediately! While our waitress was friendly, she couldn’t make up for the terrible food. Save yourself the trouble—don't go here!"

"We started with a mixed greens salad, a burrata salad, and polenta topped with a medley of sautéed mushrooms. The salad was fresh, featuring baby greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, and a light dressing. The polenta was a standout: crispy on the outside and warm and gooey on the inside, perfectly complemented by the sautéed mushrooms. The burrata salad was decent but nothing remarkable. It featured a few medium-sized pieces of burrata on a bed of lettuce. I would have preferred a more creative presentation, perhaps with tomato slices and fresh basil, but it is what it is. My wife ordered the pappardelle pasta with meat sauce, and it ended up being our favorite dish. It was hearty, flavorful, and well-prepared. I had the risotto with seafood, which was quite good. The challenge with risotto is achieving the right texture; undercooked can be crunchy, while overcooked can be gummy. This was cooked perfectly, and the red sauce accompanying the seafood was very tasty. Our friends do not eat meat except for fish. They enjoyed the risotto, and she was very pleased with her choice. Her partner had fusilli with garlic and olive oil and was very satisfied. Overall, our experience was excellent, and this little gem offers great value. I will note that it can get quite loud when they're busy (which seems to be the norm these days), so be prepared to raise your voice to have a conversation. We're definitely coming back!"

"I can't believe I came here to this garbage place to celebrate Mother's Day. I should have never came here after seeing the ratings but my Family members insisted on it. First off their bread is disgusting and when we asked for butter it was like rock hard it wasn't soft at all. We asked for it to be soft and the guy just microwaved it and brought it out and it was horrible. I got the Caesar salad wow $12.95 for this piece of **** salad seriously. The store bought ones are way better. The dressing was disgusting!! I hoped that the pasta would give me high hopes but damn I was wrong. First off the pasta was stuck together the penne pasta pieces were hard, chicken was not fresh and overall it was nasty. The only decent thing was the sauce. I didnt even finish it. Mind you all the other restaurants in Santa Monica were so packed this place had so many empty tables. Next time I will listen to my fellow Yelpers and not to my family. Oh and the bathroom let's talk a out the bathroom well for starters they keep it clean but **** it smelled like bleach was poured all over the floor it was so overpowering and awful. I could barely stand being in there. The smell was awful. All in all what a horrible Mother's Day Lunch. Food was NASTYYYY. Service was whatever and overpriced for nasty good. Save your money save your time. Stay clear away from this place. Not fresh and not Good!!!"
