"Have eaten here several times. Was surprised that with a reservation we were still sitting at a booth looking into the kitchen. We could have asked to be moved, but we didn't want to. The waiter was very enthusiastic, but failed to fill glasses of water without being asked. My husband's lasagna was a huge brick in the middle of an unadorned plate. A little salad or something green and crispy would have been nice. Not an à la carte fan, especially when it comes to the price of the main course alone. The room was very dark and a bit noisy. I would ask not to sit in this area another time."

"I was pleasantly surprised by the value for the price. We had made a reservation and were seated right away. Since we arrived early at 5:30, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. I mentioned that we probably didn't need the reservation, but the host assured me it was a good idea. Before long, the place was completely full, and he was correct. Both the food and service were excellent."

"I ordered the Lechon Kiwali deep fried pork), Lumpia Shanghai Filipino spring rolls) and rice lunch combo as well as the Ginisang Sayote sautéed chayote) through Grubhub and the order was timely. The food was tepid temperature not too unusual for Filipino food, but not super hot as some people ordering might expect), but very tasty.The Ginisang Sayote was flavorful, with a very mild kick and some minced pork in it. It was soupier than some other versions of this I have had but not bad at all. Of the two items ordered this was the warmer of the two and came in an 18 oz container.The lunch combo consisted of 5 chunks of lechon kiwali and five lumpia shanghai. The lumpia came with the typical sweet and sour dipping sauce but was a little limp, barely crisp. The taste was excellent though. The lechon came with the typical liver-based dipping sauce and was very tasty as well, being crispier than the lumpia. The set came with about two cups of sticky white rice. Overall the food was delicious, but I suspect this whole meal would be better in the restaurant.I did feel that it was a bit pricey at nearly $35 for the two items $12.50 for the 18 oz container of ginisang, and $13 for the lunch combo which only had five pieces of each item). I was well satiated between the two dishes but would have been leaning heavily on the rice to feel satisfied with the lunch combo, so not the best value if you are value conscious.I was somewhat disappointed in not being able to order the turon by the piece or pair as well, the only option being by the tray."

"It was very disappointing! The decor was amazing but the food and service were terrible. Starting with the service. We were barely checked in with. We saw our server angel leaning up against the registers most of the time. She would glance at us but never physically came over. I ordered a bottomless mimosas (keep in mind this is own first time ever coming here) and was never told I needed to go to the bar to get my drink. I sat there wondering when I would get my drink and was finally told by another server what I needed to do. Now the food! It was awful. If you were going to make biscuits and gravy and chicken and waffles for a dish, stick to the southern staple! I am from the south and I have lived in the north for many years. I have never in my entire life saw cheese curds placed on biscuits and gravy. The textures alone do not complement one another. The biscuits and gravy was absolutely disgusting. The sausage in the gravy should have a crisp to it. I could literally smashed with my fork like cat food! The chicken and waffles was also another story. The chicken was not seasoned. If you’re going to claim handmade chicken, it needs to be backed up with seasonings. The waffles were too sweet! Pumpkin waffles and an apple sauce syrup is way too much sweetness, especially if there’s not gonna be any salt available for the chicken. The overall vibe of the place was relaxing. The Decour was very modern and very elegant. I do believe the amount you pay for the dishes and the service that you receive is extremely off the scale."

"We eat here regularly but this most recent visit was pure chaos. People seating themselves wherever what’s the point of a reservation?. We had two meals brought to us before getting the right ones. The food was good. Tables were left dirty and a busboy spilled glasses of water on another table’s shopping bags. It was almost comical. I imagine some staff is newly hired as business has ramped up and they’ll smooth things out. Hopefully that happens quickly. Fish tacos are excellent and really enjoy their smoke meat too"

"Chicken katsu is the best I’ve had, it was super moist and tender and had the perfect crunch because of panko I recommend this if you come in. Smoked pork kalua pork was good. Lumpia was delicious. Pork lau lau was nice but was a tad bit dry for my liking. And the pork kalbi was fantastic. Service was good, the owner served us and she was friendly. I do recommend this place over some food chains like L&L Hawaiian Barbecue their Katsu isn’t as good at Pacific Grill!"

"we went here because the cook was written and I really want to give good restaurants in the region Lamorinda/Walnut creek. unfortunately this restaurant only makes the lists of overpriced moderate restaurants in this opposite. the weeping list is terrible and offers the most intact wee out there. Given the abundance of affordable wines from South America in general, this is inevitable. for starters we had a revised version of tacquitos with sugar, i.e. the guide guacamole was enough to feed a mouse. the pork bells had a lot of boiled and dried meat. the spicy Mayo sauce would have been a helpful supplement, except there was only a tiny spoon on a sliced boiled potato. was that a waste? for our head, my man ordered the chicken stable. I ordered the vegatarian quinoa risotto. the both floated in the same glue and thick yellow cocos milk sauce. the chicken bits were hard to find with just one puppy game made of white rice on the side. the quinoa, which is a delicate corn, was literally lost in all this sauce, which was more like a suppe it was so much of him and almost no sweet except a handful of baptism and a few pieces of zucchini. the chicken stable is a Peruvian clip as well as quinoa, so I expected she could not go wrong. boy howdy. for $180 with drinking money I can guarantee that we never go back there."

"We have dined her multiple times when it was the 88 Wharf. This was our first time now that it is Azul. We liked it better before it went Mexican, because there were more affordable choices. Honesty, we tend to come back, because of the outdoor dining and because it 's rarely busy. That isn 't a good sign though!! Most restaurants we go to, whether a local pub, Italian, casual or better dining, are always busy on a Thurs night....at least the bar area!! It felt awkward to see the staff have nothing to do and then the hostess was just sent home. We like our vodka martinis and had one at the bar and one with dinner. The waitress was just ok. I don 't want to seem critical, but she was way too soft spoken and not very knowledgeable. It was like she never waitressed before. I asked her what other high end vodkas do they have besides Grey Goose and said, Oh I don 't know...I don 't drink vodka . I 'm sorry, but for the prices you pay....most meals in their mid twenties...your wait staff should have some general knowledge about beer, wine and spirits. OR they should at least have the common sense to say....let me go ask...OR the restaurant manager should supply a list at each table or with each waiter/waitress!! I don 't like to complain but I hope they improve things and make it. By the way...the bar tender was very nice, but we asked him the same question about vodkas and his answer was different. He said we don 't sell a lot of vodka, so we don 't have many."

"We were tired from a day of hiking and couldn’t decide where to eat. We thought Filipino food would be homey and just hit the spot for us. Googled and this was the closest from where we were. Closing time was 8:30 and we’d get there by 8pm. We decided we’d take out food so we didn’t bother them too much. But when we got there, we were greeted with warmth and love. We said we didn’t want to bother them but they insisted we dined in. Food was great and fresh. We even ordered takeout for breakfast. I’d recommend this place."

"We had made a reservation for 15 people at 7 PM to celebrate a friend's birthday. We arrived right on time and were seated immediately. We placed our orders for food and drinks at 7:05 PM, and while we received our drinks by 7:10 PM, we were still waiting for our food. By 7:30 PM, we asked our waiter for an update, and he informed us that our meals would take another 20 minutes. We noticed that two tables seated after us had already ordered and received their food within 10 minutes. Assuming the delay was due to the size of our party, we decided to wait a little longer. However, by 8:00 PM, we could see that the two tables behind us were almost finished eating while we still hadn't received our meals. At 8:30 PM, with the restaurant set to close soon, I asked the waiter to speak with his manager. The "manager" came upstairs, and when I told him we were leaving due to the wait, he apologized and said our food was on its way, citing a "glitch" in their system. As I looked over at the tables behind us, I realized they had ordered the same platters as we did, which made me suspect that our food had been mistakenly served to them. We received no apology for the delay, no offer of appetizers while we waited—nothing. The only reason we stayed was because we had reservations elsewhere and worried we wouldn't have enough time to be seated and served at another restaurant before our next commitment. When the time came to pay, we were not offered any compensation and were required to pay full price for a meal that was mediocre at best. The so-called manager claimed he couldn't authorize any discount or compensation because he was not the actual manager. To make matters worse, the rice was undercooked, the BBQ was extremely dry and overcooked, and everything tasted as if it had been sitting out for a while. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if you’re planning a large birthday party or gathering. You will experience terrible service, wait an unreasonable amount of time for mediocre food, and still be required to pay full price after waiting an hour and a half for your meal. I called the restaurant today to express my concerns, but I was told that there was no manager or owner available to speak with me. I plan to call again later to try to reach someone in charge."

"I recently went to Purple Patch for my close friend’s birthday. He chose this place from previous recommendations given by his family. I look at the food prior to coming, but I had low expectations. After dining there I can honestly say that my expectations are blown out of the water. Our server Ky (or Kai) did a great job giving us the full scope of the menu and different options we had as we were ordering our appetizers and entrées. We ordered enough food for the three of us to be satisfied. First we order the sweet pork skewers, grilled miso wings, crispy eggplant and the brussels sprouts. They were all awesome. My favorite was the brussels sprouts. Following we ordered three entrées. An item from the pork, seafood, and beef section. The ambience of this restaurant was very homey. Our seat was comfortable lounge couch. We spent about 2 1/2 hours there celebrating my friend’s birthday. I definitely look forward to coming back."

"This review is for the purpose of providing what happened to me and my daughter after eating their food and not to ruin anyone's business. I just want to share this because it can be dangerous! I went here on10/4 and bought some fish, Laing, menudo, chicharon bulaklak and suman. After we ate the food few hours later we started feeling sick. My daughter and I had severe stomach pains and severe diarrhea and cramps. From 10-4 to 10-15 we were ill so on Saturday 10-14 we decided to call the hospital to see what's going since it's been going on for a while and got tested. Finally the results came back today and tested positive for salmonella! You decided to open a restaurant therefore it is your responsibility to make sure all workers washes their hands and properly clean the kitchen and make sure the meat is not being mixed with other food. I wouldn't want any other person to go through what we went through! And no we didn't eat anything else that day! Food contamination is very serious and it can lead to unfortunate events! This is not acceptable"
