"This was a lovely little coffee shop and restaurant to get some work done in. I really appreciated the availability of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A lot of times with cafes, you're kind of pigeonholed to traditional cafe fare pastries, maybe some breakfast sandwiches, etc. Their Korean inspired lunch and dinner menu means there's a lot more options beyond that, plus the regular drinks and pastries if you're in the mood. My starving self was pleased to see this variety. After debating over the menu, I eventually settled on the pork buns. The food was delivered to me at my table after a pretty short wait. While the pork buns were much messier than I anticipated, they were absolutely delicious. The pork belly was basically just an extra large piece of bacon nestled between a super soft bun. The green onions and whatever that sauce was (I wish I could remember, it was yummy! added some extra flavors so it wasn't too much of the same bite over and over again. A little while after finishing the pork buns, I decided it was time for my dessert coffee. I tried on of their mocha lattes, and it had an interesting (but not bad! flavor. It reminded me of making chocolate milk with Hershey's syrup when I was a kid, but in a latte. It was nice and chocolatey, just not a type of flavor I've found in a mocha latte before! I really loved the food, and I am eager to try some of their other options, as there were SO many things on the menu that sounded good. I hope to be back soon!"

"Dashiwa Ramen A Gastronomic Delight! I recently dined at Dashiwa Ramen, and I must say it was an exceptional culinary experience. This cozy little eatery nestled in the heart of Arcadia offers a wide array of Japanese delicacies, and I was particularly impressed with their beef curry udon, chicken cutlets curry, beef curry rice, and chicken karaage. Let's start with the beef curry udon. The combination of tender beef and flavorful curry sauce was simply divine. The udon noodles were cooked to perfection, providing a delightful chewy texture. The curry itself was rich, aromatic, and packed with just the right amount of spices. The beef was incredibly tender and succulent, adding a delightful meaty element to the dish. It was a harmonious blend of flavors that left me craving for more. Next up, the chicken cutlets curry. The chicken cutlets were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, providing a delightful contrast of textures. The curry sauce was velvety and full bodied, with a perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness. Each bite was a heavenly combination of tender chicken and the delectable curry. It was a true comfort food experience that left me thoroughly satisfied. Moving on to the beef curry rice, I was amazed by the generous portion of tender beef served on a bed of fluffy rice, all smothered in the flavorful curry sauce. The beef was melt in your mouth tender, and the curry sauce added a delightful kick of flavor to the dish. The rice acted as the perfect base, absorbing all the delicious flavors and adding a comforting element to the meal. It was a hearty and fulfilling dish that left me feeling content. Lastly, the chicken karaage was a delightful appetizer that showcased the skill of the chef. The chicken pieces were perfectly fried to a crispy golden brown, while the meat inside remained moist and flavorful. The accompanying dipping sauce added a tangy and savory dimension to the dish, enhancing the overall experience. It was a perfect balance of textures and flavors that left me wanting more. In addition to the remarkable food, the service at Dashiwa Ramen was impeccable. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall dining experience, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal or a gathering with friends and family. In conclusion, Dashiwa Ramen surpassed my expectations with their delectable offerings. The beef curry udon, chicken cutlets curry, beef curry rice, and chicken karaage were all outstanding in terms of taste, presentation, and quality. If you're a fan of Japanese cuisine, I highly recommend paying a visit to Dashiwa Ramen. It's a culinary gem that will undoubtedly leave you with a memorable dining experience. "First time trying Shimuja Ramen and it will also be my last. My group of friends and I (total 7 people) showed up without a reservation and they were able to accommodate us, which I thought was great. However, our experience took a turn for the worst. It was really hot in the restaurant when we entered but we thought it was because we just came in and it 's Florida ‍. However, sitting there for 10 minutes, we still didn 't cool down and noticed that their thermostat said 84 degrees. We decided to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe it just didn 't cool down yet, since none of the staff mentioned anything about it being hot or that the AC was not working. We got our food and continued to sweat through our ramen and onigiri. It became unbearable that we asked them why it was so hot, and was told it was because their kitchen AC was broken so the heat was going into the dining area. Personally, I think this would have been important to mention, especially because it is 90+ degrees in Florida right now and we 're having hot foods and soups. Also, not once did they check up on us during our meal or care to see how we were doing in the heat. Then after we finished our food, they took away our food and water and just left us sitting there sweating. Then 10-15 minutes after they took away our food and bagged the leftovers (because I could not finish my ramen noodles in the heat), I asked one of the staff members passing by for the check, and she says okay and walks away. Another 10 minutes pass and still no check. I ask another staff member for the check, which she brings, and we are surprised to see a 20% gratuity already included. We always make sure to tip, but we were shocked because nowhere on their menu, nor did they inform us, that a group of X amount of people would have an automatic tip included. It was also such poor service that it definitely did not deserve 20%. Nonetheless, we lay our card down and it takes them another 10 minutes to pick up the check. What should have only been an hour dining experience took almost 2 hours due to the servers ignoring us. I saw a post for this place on Instagram and thought it was going to be great, but don 't let it fool you. It was definitely NOT the most authentic ramen in South Florida. We got the Kagoshima Special Ramen, Satsuma Tonkotsu Ramen, Takoyaki, and Onigiri (smoked salmon and tuna and mayo). The soup was flavorful enough and the noodles were chewy, but the more you ate, the saltier it was. It was an average Tonkotsu broth and they gave very small and thin pieces of pork belly. The Takoyaki also did not taste like it was made in-house (I could be wrong though). Other than that, the onigiri was okay. So all in all, we will not be going back. Poor service, poor communication, and average food."
