"My experience when I go to the fairview Heights Hucks Convenient store is superb. There are two worker that make that store run better than it has ever ran before. One of the employees name is Kassie Sheldon she is an exstremely helpful and courteousperson to every customer that she come in contact with and always greets everyone with a cheerful smile and makes myself feelwelcome and want to always return to that store everyday. The other employee?s name is Stephanie Kruep she also is an extremelyhelpful and courteous person to every costumer that she comes in contact with and also greets every customer with a cheerfulsmile and always makes me feel welcome and makes me want to return everyday as well. They are the two hardest working people inthat convenient store. I have not once seen the new head manger that all the other employees talk about, never in the store orat the counter or never working weekends or restocking anything I only see the the two women?s names I mentioned always workingeven when an employee calls off or can?t make it in to cover they?re shift for the day/evening and the women?s names I mentionedhave to work double shifts and then have to be back into work in less than 8 hours to cover they?re next shift they are assigned for at that time. Is that the head store manager Tim?s job to help cover the shifts every so often so that all theemployees have time to spend with they?re husbands, boyfriends, girlfriends, children, family. Loved ones. When I have been in theFairview heights store it seems they are understaffed and some are over worked and haven?t spent any or little time with thereloved ones. I myself am a family man and in my opinion I think this issue should be looked into and addressed with management.Thank you to whom it my concern."

"Went in for lunch in between hockey games. Took 40 minutes to get half of the drinks that were ordered. I asked for the players food to come out first at the table as they needed to get back to another game, that did not happen. We ordered food at 130pm and at 3pm about half the food had still not come out. We were never asked if we wanted drinks refilled, not even water. The table was never brought silverware. I had to go up to the bar to get silverware and napkins. At three when I could not wait any longer for the food on my tab that had not showed up, I went up to pay and cancel what hadn’t arrived. It didn’t seem like a big deal. The original waiter who took drink orders spent the entire time either wiping tables or messing around behind the bar. Not once did he return to the table to apologize for it taking so long or tending to us for anything, he actually seemed annoyed and went out of his way to let me know it was only his third day. The women waitress who delivered the food that did arrive- seemed genuinely sorry for what was happening. I did however see plenty of take out going out of the door while we were there. If the kitchen and staff couldn’t keep up with the two tables of ten-ish people that showed up, at least a heads up would have been nice. This was our first visit, but unfortunately our last after being sat at a table with one cup of water and ultimately not even having my food arrive- an hour and half later. I did think I would have received some type of visit to the table by the manager or apology. Nothing. Certainly don’t attempt to go here if you or your children need to be back at the rink in a timely manner."

"Food is good, but just order it to go. The “service” is terrible. We didn’t have a waiter/ it was a self service concept, but no one let us know this. We found this out after waiting some time for drink refills after almost done with our pizza. There is no self-serve drink station so I went up to the bar to ask for a refill mid chew. The bar tender said she was going to give me a to go cup since they were closing. I had just told her that I didn’t know we had to get our own drinks and that I wanted something quickly so my food could go down. (In my opinion, it would have been quicker for her to just refill my cup that i had already brought up. Before the pizza, we had ordered sushi rolls and crab rangoon. After each item was dropped off, first the crab rangoon in a to-go bag, then 10 minutes later, the sushi in to-go containers, no one asked how everything tasted or if they could get us anything else. After the sushi, I had to stop her as she walked away for some soy sauce, but the look on her face and energy gave annoyance. Which is why after a guy came out with the pizza and quickly walked away, I didn’t bother asking him for plates, so we just ate it on a napkin. At one point, the bar tender came up to us to let us know they were closing while still eating. As we walked up to pay, there were 2 men at the bar drinking. I asked the “server” while paying what time the bar closed and she said the restaurant closed at 9. I asked, “oh, but what about the bar, she said “the whole restaurant closed at 9”, and I said “oh” and turned towards the 2 men and the bar tender who came up to us earlier to let us know they were closing. She then says, “they are just finishing up their drinks”. It looked like to me the bar tender was getting them another drink. This was a VERY bizarre and unwelcoming experience- coming from someone who worked as a server in the past and who enjoys new restaurants. There were no smiles and it had a very cold “get the hell out” energy. Sad to say as I want locally owned restaurants to thrive."
