"I feel like the reviews are overhyped and send the wrong message… I gave 5 stars for service, 4 for atmosphere, and 3 for food. The service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced. I have a seed oil intolerance, which I noted in my reservation, and they had prepped in advance for my arrival and gave me a menu that had notes on it for what I can eat. Absolutely incredible, I’ve never had someone go to these lengths for me for dining. The location is lovely, sits on the river and has a very spa-like ambiance inside. The food is where things kind of fell flat. My boyfriend got the cast iron chicken and said it was only okay and that parts of the chicken were hard to cut through. My steak was insanely delicious, but half of it was fat, and the sides had no flavor. Which, in their defense, is partially because they had to sub things out for me. But that shouldn’t stop them from being able to season things and still make them delicious. There were only a very small amount of things they were able to make without seed oils, which is slightly alarming, because usually you can just cook things in butter/olive oil instead but it seems like a lot of things were premade with a ton of oils in them. Plus, my dish was $75, and I just don’t think it was warranted for the quality. Again, overall a good experience, but we were slightly disappointed in relation to the cost. If it weren’t so expensive for what we received, I wouldn’t have felt as meh about the food. It’s good!! Just not worth it to me. Maybe just for cocktails and an app?"
