"I grew up going to Fisherman Cove since they first opened their small shop, and back then, the line would stretch past Lord’s Bakery. The food was always delightful and a regular choice for my weekly meals. However, over time, the quality of their dishes has really declined. The jerk chicken, stew chicken, curry, and oxtail are just not good anymore. I don’t know what’s happened, but they really need to improve.
Now, I’ve started going to Island CC’s down the block, and I completely understand why other customers have moved on from Fisherman Cove. There’s simply no comparison! If you’re looking for quality Jamaican food, Island CC’s is now the place to go. I ordered a small oxtail and got about five pieces with a mountain of rice. While I managed to finish it, I had to struggle through the meal because it lacked flavor, and most of the meat was just fat!"
