"I recently went to the Fisherman's Cove location and attempted to order a side of plantain. The staff informed me that they do not sell plantains individually as side orders, and that I would need to order a full meal instead. I found this policy to be ridiculous, as I have never encountered it before. I have always ordered plantains as sides at the restaurant's Eastern Parkway location. I will not be returning to this location in the future."

They just have to work on the Customer service, very unprofessional. How do you have an attitude on something you've missed in the notes?

They really dropped the ball this time. I ordered food once and didn't enjoy it, but decided to give it another chance. Big mistake. The chicken was bland, and it felt like they just relied on the sauce to mask the lack of flavor. I'm so disappointed that I wasted my money.

Great food...I thought. That was until I found a folded piece of plastic, preventing me from thoroughly chewing my cabbage. Up, until 3 days ago, I would have given praise to this small, hole in the wall eatery. Now I know why the food is so unique, you never know what you might eat. View menu

The food at this restaurant was outstanding, or at least I thought so at first. However, my perspective shifted when I found a piece of plastic in my cabbage, which really affected my enjoyment of the meal. Before this incident, I would have wholeheartedly recommended this hidden gem. Now, I've come to realize why the food is so unique—you never know what unexpected ingredients you might come across.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
