"Cute atmosphere upon walking in. Other than being greeted by door person and walked to table, we waited about 10 min before anyone came by and it was the runner bringing water. In total we waited about 15 min+ and no server ever came by so we vacated the table and went to the dining counter. After that things moved more quickly. Food was flavorful, nice portions. Pancakes were SUPER fluffy and light, really delicious!!!"

"We were in Chicago for a friends bday and stopped here for brunch.Location: it's located right next to the river, we walked from our hotel and it only took 7-8 minutes.Parking: I'm not sure because we walked.Service: Our server was phenomenal! She was so kind and just the right amount of attention. She even brought the bday girl a Nutella crepe. We didn't make reservations so we waited 30 minutes for a seat.Ambience/Crowd: Family oriented; very casualFood/drink : 10/10 we had the burrito with chorizo and the countryside skillet. Everything was great but that hot sauce?! Omg so good!!Will I be back? Yes! The service and food were top notch.Side note: they don't serve alcohol BUT it's BYOB!!"

"I'm only writing this because I have some serious health concerns after eating there. We sat at the bar because there was no wait, and witnessed some concerning practices. First, the little glass mason jars they give you for water are filled with ice by dunking them directly into the ice bucket, sometimes 2 at a time (I could hear them clink against each other). Anyone with bar experience could tell you this is a good way to get a surprise glass shard in your ice. Second, the bottles of water they give to refill your water glasses are not cleaned between tables. They just bring them back behind the bar and refill them, they don't even dump them out, they just top it off and send it back out. No way to know if someone's hands or mouth had been on it before you got it. There was a manager there and he spent a good chunk of time behind the bar, which leads me to believe this isn't just an employee taking shortcuts, but is standard practice. I truthfully don't feel comfortable going back. The food is fine, the staff is fine, but the potential health risks are glaring."

"I went here for breakfast as it isn’t far from home. My first impression was that they were packed…this was not accurate. They just share a parking lot. I walked in and upon first impression, the hostess seemed less enthusiastic to be at work on a Saturday. I get it but her overall demeanor wasn’t welcoming. Perhaps giving her a script to say as guests walk in would alleviate. She really just didn’t seem to know what to say. There was an awkward silence…no greeting…so I finally just said “table for 1”. She sat me at the second booth from the window and walked away. I probably only waited 1:20 before sweet Kathleen walked up. Her intro was pleasant and cheerful. She’s a gem. I let her know it was my first time there and she was helpful in suggestions and even upselling. She knew her menu and made me the best iced coffee ever. Seriously, amazing cinnamon roll ice coffee. I ordered the carnitas skillet upon Kathleen’s recommendation. Overall, presentation was great. It came out rather fast which never impresses me. But it was hot. The only complaint I truly have is I manage a breakfast restaurant and I’m familiar in the freshness of hash browns. These were not fresh but the flavor of the skillet outweighed that. Kathleen also recommended a cinnamon roll. I wasn’t disappointed. I just hate how cinnamon rolls get hard rather quickly if not eaten right away; and since it was as big as my face, I could not eat it all. I’ll definitely be back for Kathleen’s service. Such a beautiful spirit and I genuinely loved her! Even as they got busy, she never made me feel less important than anyone else. She really handled her section with ease!"

"I really love this restaurant and visit frequently, not just because it's close to my home, but also because the food brings back fond memories of breakfast from my childhood. Unfortunately, I had quite a disappointing experience today. I ordered my favorite west coast crepes, but they arrived quite pale and almost raw. The waitress acknowledged that they should be more golden and took them back to the kitchen. When they returned, one crepe was overcooked while the other was still undercooked, and neither of them was crispy. Later, the manager came over, but instead of addressing the issue..."

"What a great spot for breakfast. We were able to go online and make reservations. We went around 12/1 on a Saturday and they weren't that busy, but it could be because they close at 2. I think earlier in the day they usually have wait times so I would suggest going later or making a reservation. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot so you don't have to worry about that. Plenty of setting room. Our waitress was very patient and talked us through the menu. She was probably the best waitress I have had in a while. Very attentive and all our food was right. I had the carnitas queso skillet. It had hash browns in but I substituted it out for country potatoes. I also got no onions. This meal was amazing. There was plenty of queso so didn't have to ask for more. I love cheese and this was the best choice. The switch to add potatoes was a great choice for me too. I'm not a huge hash down person and the potatoes were amazing. The waitress helped me pick it out. She said it was her favorite thing too. My friend also gets the same dish every time she goes there. I also had the cinnamon roll French toast. They were ok but not what I expected. They didn't use thick bread. It was fairly thin and I'm not used to that for French toast. Not a huge fan so wouldn't get that again, but they did taste decent. Can't wait to go back again and try some other things on the menu next time I visit."

"After we had learned that we celebrated our 45th anniversary, the assistent mary passed and up to provide such a great service. she found us a really good table and even had the singer on the stage to dedicate us a love song. she was also very helpful with places we could visit and activities we could do in las vegas. our waitress (which unfortunately did not get their names) was very attentive, but not intrusive. the food was also recommended."

"It's a nice change from the small towns surrounding well at least as far as options anyway.... Your typical service takes them 20-30 mins after seating to come to take drink order so be prepared to drop your food order asap so theirs no more delay in service. What also brought my rating down was how the next server who couldn't be much older than the legal age was gripping the tops of our drinks hands them off, rushed with no expression starts walking off. Of course without offering a straw..... I did request one as I'm not sure her hands are frequently washed as required. One plate was over done the other was a little underdone, had to ask for our 2nd side to be delivered 5min after getting plate. Over all not bad definitely could use some adjustments for improving... I'll try again in hopes they do!"

"I really dont even know how to review this place. Apparently I have to at least give them one star or I cant leave my review. So, Ill give them one star. Although, they dont really deserve it in my opinion. I dont EVER like to leave bad reviews. Frankly, this is the first time Ive done it. But, this is the second time Ive ordered from here and Im very disappointed. First time was a chili bread bowl that I had delivered to work for lunch. It came late but, not exactly sure whose fault that was. The chili was good but, lets be real, if youre going to sell chili, PLEASE put some cheese on it. This morning I wanted breakfast. Ordered eggs with hash browns and bacon. I dont know about anyone else but, when I eat bacon, I like it crispy, I dont want it flopping around like a dead fish when pick it up. However, the most disappointing thing was, the reason I even made an order was because I was CRAVING biscuits and gravy. This was the only place I could find that said they did gravy on the side. Thats what i ordered. Thats NOT what I got. I received biscuits with gravy on it. Lumped together with BARELY enough gravy for one biscuit. Even after reheating it, I could only take two bites cuz it was dry and doughy and bland. Eggs werent cooked properly and hash browns were mushy. Honestly, the only saving grace of my order was the side of tomato slices. Which, if youre gonna pay almost $4.00 for four slices of tomatoes at least that SHOULD be good. So, I spent $35.21 cents for four slices of tomatoes. That I added my own seasonigs to because they were just 4 tomato slices that needed some love. Wont make the mistake of ordering from here again. Because my happy dog endedup eating more of my food than I did...cuz she cant eat tomatoes."

"Now, let’s talk about dinner. Oh my goodness, the variety! This isn’t a new spot; they’ve truly hit their stride. Cooking eggs to medium in a fast-paced environment is no easy feat, but Jimmy nailed it. The presentation looked like something out of a cooking show (just check out the photos). The flavors were spot on—not too much, not too little. The pancakes, waffles, and eggs were all perfectly prepared, and the coffee was excellent. There wasn't a single unhappy face in the entire place. We made sure to look around. When a restaurant attracts guests of all ages and backgrounds, you know it's a hit. The inside is much larger than it looks from the street, so seating is not an issue. I'm usually picky about giving stars, but Jimmy has earned every single one; I’m giving it five stars. Just go there—you have to experience it for yourself. Jimmy, keep up the fantastic work!"

"While I can’t speak for everyone, I thoroughly enjoyed my FnG burger — it was delicious! The fries were crispy and cooked to perfection, and the root vegetable fries were surprisingly tasty, seasoned just right. My crown and cranberry drink was also reasonably priced and delightful. Although I didn’t try it, everyone who ordered the chicken and waffles seemed very impressed. The only downside, which was more about our group’s poor planning than the restaurant's fault, was that with the sudden increase in size, the staff wasn't prepared for a large gathering on short notice. As a result, our orders took longer to arrive. However, Hannah and the bartender (I didn’t catch his name) worked hard to ensure we received our drinks and food as quickly as possible despite the delays. With such a large group, there were a few mix-ups with charges that had to be corrected, but it was all part of the chaos on our end. Overall, the staff did an amazing job of keeping everything under control. I would definitely recommend this restaurant; the decor was lovely, and I’m looking forward to returning to try some of the other delicious dishes I kept smelling."

"I truly enjoy having breakfast at Jimmy's Egg. It's a preference. I love the food, and the staff is friendly. I do like going there.But I have one small issue that makes a huge difference with my dining experience.Why does a breakfast place that has such good $2 coffee have to be so cheap with their flavored creamers. Pre-pandemic, you used to have a variety of flavored creamers in a bowl, per table. Now, you have to request the creamer. Then when you do get it, it's a 50/50 chance you don't get a flavored creamer. Maybe it was just the McAllen location. So now that I'm at the Mission location, I had to request a creamer as well. This time, of course it wasn't the flavored kind, like they used to have pre-pandemic. Instead, they gave me milk in disposable containers. (See photo of my coffee with the creamer in disposable containers.)Please bring back the flavored creamers at the table. Don't make us diners request the creamer, on top of asking for the flavored kind as well.A variety of flavored creamers at the table with your coffee used to be part of the charm of going to Jimmy's Egg. "Delicious!!! They offer traditional Irish meals, sandwiches, soup and salads just to summarize the menu. They do have kids'meals although it's not listed on the menu. We were offered a good variety of choices for the kids. (Hamburger, grilled cheese, macaroni, and chicken nuggets. I enjoyed the pot roast even though I don't really like mushrooms. The mushroom sauce was delightful, and the actual mushrooms were easy to move aside for my husband to enjoy! My husband enjoyed his fish and chips, although he found the potato wedges a bit heavy. Our 5 year old said this is his new favorite restaurant, so we will definitely be looking forward to our next visit!"
