"I felt inclined to update my review. I initially had a bad experience and happened to return and the friendly lady at the drive thru remembered me acknowledged the previous incident. She apologized and assured me it was addressed by the owner. I thanked her and mentioned the tacos were too good for me not to return. As a customer I appreciate that fact that the issue was addressed so now I can continue to visit in the mornings."

"I had an oatless from this place where the taste was watery. The staff was nice, but I'd eat again. I threw a whole bowl of oat flakes, what a waist of money I know, but I tried to give them away? So I go back to my desk and said: It's okay, at least they gave you that I've never been so hurt in my whole life this experience was absolutely creepy because how would you give me bread and oatmeal I was loss of words. will I have been coming back? Absolutely not for the oat flakes."

"The menu is what drew me to this place, tacos in particular..upon entering we were told they were short staffed and would have to scan bar code and order that way..pretty inconvenient if this isn't your norm which it wasn't...menu on website vs the barcode scan it not even close so it took forever to find the items that I wanted..then to have to set up a credit card. Took forever it seamed..Service was friendly and the chips and salsa were good..ask for the red sauce...they warn it's extremely spicy, it wasn't ..got a kick for sure..while waiting for our food we noticed they were still enforcing Covid protocols that were waved months ago..with random seating blocked off...to each is own but I personally wouldn't visit again mainly because of the ordering system and the Covid protocols...it's time to move forward..and it's a dang shame because the food was solid..wife had beef enchiladas, which turn out to beef fajitas..was flavorful and tender...only down side was the red sauce they offer is the same as the red salsa that came with the chips...big difference between sauces and salsas...and although my wife liked the red salsa she opted for it on the side. Only other option was green sauce, which in my book doesn't pair with beef..and she doesn't like. now for mine...The Los Tres Huaches alone would be 4-5 stars because these were unique and extremely good..One El Chingon...One El Carbon...and One El Hijo De La Chingada which is a signature item to them..All 3 tasted different...very fresh and they were huge!!..The last in had a great kick of heat to it...Loved all 3. Now I'm not knocking this place for it choices in safety and yes everyone is short handed..I will keep them on the radar and check back with them in a couple of months to see if they are staffed up..cause those tacos were Good!!"

"1) They've started including the tip in the bill. While that’s not necessarily a bad thing, it has led to a second issue. 2) The service has significantly declined. It seems that regardless of the service quality, tips are guaranteed now. During our last three visits, we had to wait between 40 minutes to an hour for our food. The waitstaff often didn’t notice us or follow up on our needs, and it took a long time to bring us drinks and take our orders. They seem to be less engaged. 3) Additionally, they charge around $2 for to-go cups. On two occasions, I received to-go cups without asking for them. One time, I ordered a bean and bacon taco, a bean and cheese taco, and an unsweetened tea, and the total came to $8. It may not sound like much, but for a family, the bill can quickly sum up to nearly $50, even with just two tacos per person. I think I’ll take a break from going here for now, but I might return in the future. The food really is delicious, and I haven’t found a better taco place in the area. I do miss it!"

"Response to owner: I think it’s interesting you’re so confident that it wasn’t your food that gave me food poisoning. I did not specify a day. So how could you know? Either something wasn’t cooked properly or one of your workers were working while infected. I made this review when I was feeling a bit better to do so.First and LAST time I order from this restaurant. I ordered to go for 2 plates of enchiladas verdes and they tasted great, BUT Immediately after eating I was going to the restroom constantly. I thought, maybe it was just too spicy for my stomach. Woke up the next morning with horrible back pain and thought maybe I just slept wrong. A couple hours later I started throwing up. I waited an additional day in hopes whatever was wrong with me would go away. I was in so much pain so I decided to go to the ER and they told me it was food poisoning! Ridiculous! I’ve NEVER had food poisoning, and buying take out is supposed to be convenient but this was anything but!Parking: No parking."

"This isn 't 'craft ' BBQ. This isn 't 'artisan ' by any stretch. It 's probably not going to be on any of the BBQ lists you 'll see for food tourism in Austin. And that 's ok. Donn 's fills a niche. The niche is simple. Provide food, especially on the go, to the everyday Joe. If you 're a working person, you 'll appreciate the efficiency of the service and the early opening hours. There 's a huge menu of tacos, BBQ, burgers, and even a chicken fried steak. There 's indoor dining and a walk-up window. I 've had both breakfast tacos and a brisket sandwich here. The servings are generous and while not gourmet, they 're filling and satisfy your cravings for BBQ or tacos. They 've also got excellent iced tea and a full condiment bar. This is a great option for a satisfying, yet efficient, breakfast or lunch."

"Patty and her catering crew prepared the food for my annual 4th of July Annual family picnic and set up as well as tore down the meal setup at my home. My wife and I were totally delighted with the taste, quantity and quality of all the food. The price was extremely reasonable. Chef Tom did an outstanding job. My guest were absolutely delighted with the food and complimented spread. No doubt Patty and Tom will be doing my Holiday catering from now and onward. Thank you Chaparritas for an outstanding job. You are the greatest!"

"Rosas always sounds good. I don't go there for the Tacos. I go for their tasty Chicken Enchiladas, Tortillas, and Beans. The interior and exterior of the Restaurant is always clean, service is pretty quick and prices are good. It was Taco Tuesday, walked in and their beautiful Christmas tree was up! It was such a nice surprise. It really lit up my day! There were two people ahead of me but, when I left their were cars making it difficult to back out. I would not recommend coming here for Taco Tuesday. It's just too busy. My order was taken quickly and accurately. Within a few minutes my Chicken Enchiladas with two servings of beans extra cheese on one serving of beans was ready! I don't really care for their rice. It would have been nice, if my beans were warm and my cheese was melted but, that was not the case. However, it was still really good. My Enchiladas were slightly oiled with a decent amount of fresh shredded Chicken topped w a spoon full of creamy Sour Cream. Love their Salsa Bar. It has Jalapenos that are crunchy. They also have Ranch Dressing and extra large Chili Peppers too. Rosa's has new Green Salsa Verde Hot Sauce. It's fresh with a kick to it. If you haven't tried Rosa's you need too! Their food is delish. Just don't go on a Tuesday."

"Came in on 7/15/23 at 7:20pm. Fountain drinks had a huge sign that said No ice . They cashier proceeds to say that their ice machine has not been working since yesterday!! I tell her I don 't want a hot drink and if they subtract the drink from the Teka Plate. She says she doesn 't know. I ask the manager who says that no one is ever charged for a drink, yeah right! I point out that there 's a gas station across the street where they can buy ice and the manager tells me that she has no money to do anything. What a lame excuse. Oh, I ordered the Teka plate and the puffy tacos were soggy. As soon as I picked them up, they fell apart. There are better puffy tacos found at Ray 's Drive Inn on the Westside. The bean roll was bland, but the guacamole cup was tasty. Oh, and the hot soda was the best on a 100° day!! The missing tile is a trip hazard and I watched two people trip. I think I will stick to the Westside to buy delicious puffy tacos and where they don 't have hot soda."

"El Rincon restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere with attentive service, making for a pleasant dining experience. On my first visit with my partner, we were greeted by a friendly waiter who provided excellent customer service throughout our meal. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, adding to our overall comfort. I ordered the tamales and enchilada plate, while my partner chose the chorizo breakfast—both dishes were delicious, showcasing authentic flavors and careful preparation. However, the agua fresca limón I ordered was disappointing, as it tasted more like sugary lemonade than a traditional agua fresca. Additionally, the menu did not list all available drinks, which made it somewhat challenging to choose a beverage. The restaurant has only one restroom, which was frequently occupied, leading to some inconvenience. The parking area is also quite small, potentially making it difficult to find a spot during peak hours. Despite these minor drawbacks, El Rincon excels in customer service and delivers flavorful food, making it a restaurant worth visiting for an enjoyable meal."

"No complaints. Ordered a family size meal for a birthday get together. Got a pound of brisket with beans, potato salad, and fries. Brisket was just right not too fatty/greasy and not too lean. Sides were good. Also got 5 chicken tenders. The bread was very moist! The BBQ sauce was very average and standard for Bill Miller's. This was probably enough food to feed about 4 5 for about $30. Not bad. This location didn't seem overly busy but I might have came after the lunch rush."

"First off, the service was excellent—make sure to ask for Nic. He was not only polite but also attentive, always checking in to clear our empty plates and refill our drinks. Nic is a young guy who clearly takes pride in his work. When he wasn’t attending to our table, I noticed him helping out in other areas and staying busy. Kudos to you, Nic! Don’t change a thing. Now, onto the food—oh my goodness! I had been craving Chicken Fried Steak, and it did not disappoint. The portion size was just right, and the mashed potatoes were delicious! I prefer my food not to be drowning in gravy, so I asked for it on the side, and it was perfect. My partner ordered the Open Faced Roast Beef Sandwich, and let me tell you, after just a small bite, I was blown away by how incredible it tasted. I even got to chat with one of the owners, who was very friendly and appreciated my compliments about Nic and this charming little spot. I almost hesitated to write this review because I wanted to keep it a secret for myself, but as we were leaving, I saw a room full of patrons waiting to be seated. It seems this little gem isn’t as much of a secret as I thought; I just hadn't heard about it before! One important note: the employees wash their hands constantly. The kitchen and service areas are open (which I appreciate), and there’s a small sink nearby. I’ve never seen a restaurant staff maintain such cleanliness while working, so keep up the great work! Thanks to Google, I discovered this place while searching for Chicken Fried Steak, and I can’t wait to come back for breakfast. Stay tuned for my next review!"
