"Edit 01/26/25: See my review from a few years ago below. This place is NOT what it used to be. The meat was the worst I have had from any place: very sour, dry, and expensive—let alone NOT tasting like true shawarma meat. The soup was bland and the salad could have been better at that price. Not authentic flavor anymore: not recommended. The reviews don’t lie! This place is really good and I am talking primarily about the most important thing: the food. Dishes here are super tasty, well presented, the portions are generous, and the food is fast to come out of the kitchen! The service is great, the place clean, well lighted, and the design of the place is amazing even though it has a bit of modern fast food feel to it rather than Middle Eastern. I also noticed whom I believe was the owner of the place asking everyone if things were okay. That REALLY showed why the place has the reviews and quality food it has! There is a great team behind it. I will be back soon!"

"a month agohasan is a was artist, took $12,000 as an investment for shares in his restaurant. he never signed any papers or gave me any papers. I also worked there for 3 months and refused to pay any salary while he paid on my expense. he also owes $800 to another hired and accused him without stealing evidence. he is very deceptive, dishonest and disgusting, so called boil. Recently the health department came to close the restaurant over 20 big bounces that I helped solve. when they look at the frittier oil, it is changed in 2 months instead of 2 weeks. only look at an assessment of a customer) by the way, most reviews with 5 stars of friends family members are. I can tell them because I worked there."

"UPDATE SECOND VISIT. We came for our second visit on Mother's Day. We were able to get an early reservation (all right. I also joined up on line and received a free small hummus. Big enough for four people and a $6 value for just my email address. They let me use it on a holiday which was awesome. Except for the music occasionally being too loud everything was as good as the first time. I still recommend trying this nice restaurant First time at this restaurant. At first glance it is freshly decorated in colors that are right inline with any HGTV renovated house. That's not a bad thing, just an observation. We were very comfortable with the setting. They have a good selection of wines and other drinks. The waiter was extremely friendly and very attentive without being pushy at all. The menu has a nice selection of Mediterranean foods and the portions were immense. To give perspective, I ate a very large amount of my dinner. I took the rest home, and when I had the remainder, it was too much to finish. The crushed lentil soup was way too good, I wish I had the recipe. The beef and chicken shawarma were both really good. All of us enjoyed our meals. Understand that this is not a regular priced restaurant, it is at the next level. However, if you take into account what I said above, each meal for me was $10.50, and that's average nowadays. If you go remember to try the fresh bread, you won't be sorry."

"The place had great food at a great price. Having never tried Mediterranean food I decided for the trio combo. It was beef shawarma, chicken tikka and lamb kabobs. All distinct in flavor but we'll made. The beef looked like it was originally groundbeef shaped into chunks to put the skewer. The chicken tikka led me to believe it would be like tikka masala but this was verydifferent . It wasn't paired with a sauce as tikka masala would have been. The chicken Tikka was not my favorite but I am gladfor the variety in meats. It was served with yellow rice, a very vinegary salad(not to my liking) and a HUGE nan bread. It wasa lot of food, and such good tasting food. The place itself was quiet and empty except for 3 other booths. I stopped by on aSaturday afternoon, plus it had been raining. But I enjoyed the quietness. The waitress was not bothersome either. She wasdirect and quick to bring out my order. I had been meaning to try this place out for some time now and I am glad I did. Try thisplace for an enjoyable experience!"

"We've been ordering big plates from najeeb for a long time. Because we always thought they have good food and they give a good amount of food. But now the price has increased but the amount of food they give has lessened. We still order food from them from time to time even though we moved away from the area. Yesterday i Ordered a 3 person plate. I was disappointed. The shawarma especially the chicken was overcooked and dry. The kabobs were burnt. And the chicken tikka was missing. The pickled vegetables that came with it was a measly amount. Also I was looking forward to the potato stew but it contained cucumbers instead. I guess i have to look for another place to order a big plate from :"

"Sahara has been feeding my family and I since I was a child and consider them family. That said they are the hardest working in the restaurant business and that’s not a knock on anybody or any other business. Quality middle eastern food is simply the most time consuming and difficult to make and prepare. "I’ve been coming to this restaurant all my life, Oak Park location, 15 miles Sterling Heights location then when they moved it to the 16 mile location I must say the place is always clean. The food is always delicious. It never fails the servers go above and beyond to make sure the experience is amazing, I just had a baby and I threw my daughter’s baptism party there at the 16 mile location. Perfect. Also, the lady forgive me I cannot remember her name. I think she was a manager she set up my whole suite table made sure everything looked beautiful. They even bought me centerpieces and table covers, they did not charge me extra for anything they went above and beyond they did more than they should have, and didn’t ask me for nothing and did not overcharge me. I must say it was the best experience and I cannot believe how amazing everything turned out and how kind they were to me afterwards , when my husband went to pay the owner the next day for the party, I must say I have never Met a more humble, kind, generous man like that guy. I cannot say what he did for me, but let me just tell you more for me than my own family. God bless him, and keep blessing all his businesses because he deserves everything he has more."

"What a find! My son trains at a nearby athletic facility, and I discovered this take out option when we had to get from training to another event. Shawarma is offered as a bowl or wrap, and you get to select your toppings as it is assembled before you. Dolma and desserts (like rice pudding and baklava) have been made ahead and pre packed for grab and go options, but I requested a large container of dolma (stuffed grape leaves), which was packed to order with at least 20 in the container! Two shawarma wraps plus those came to just over $20. What value! Staff are friendly and efficient. Food is fresh and tasty. In the plaza with Red Wing Shoes on Telegraph, south of M 59."

"I know prices are higher now but I just paid $15 literally a small handful of salad and some chicken. Also I have never ordered a salad from this place that had the same ingredients as ordered previously. Its always different and they put the dressing on the salad even if its to go. "My family is Lebanese and usually only traditional meals around the holiday. Anaam is a wonderful stop to taste authentic Lebanese at a pretty good price. My favorite is the hummus and the pita, I never had a brand or restaurant make it as smooth and tasty as they do!
