"This was quite possibly the worst dining experience ever. I should have known to run, but being NYE we didn’t have many other options. I had made an 8:30pm reservation over a month ago then when we checked in I was told it’s now a prix fixe menu and the regular ala carte menu would not be available. I questioned why I wasn’t made aware of this and was told it was emailed to me. I checked my emails and didn’t see it so perhaps it went to spam, but don’t you think jumping to a $235.00 per person menu is worthy of a phone call?! Because our options were limited being NYE, we decided to stay. Mistake number one! It’s was ridiculously hot in the restaurant, like stuffy, uncomfortable hot! The lights were bright even though it was NYE at 8:30pm total ambiance killer! Then there’s the food…..best way to describe it would be banquet wedding food. Very apparent everything was made in advance, including the halibut which was ridiculously dry and the sides for the steak entree were very apparently the last of the last to be plated in the banquet kitchen. Essentially once we were served the place was empty and staff was scurrying around preparing for morning breakfast service, I assume. The server tried her best and was very pleasant but holy cow was this place a hot mess! Our bill was $1500.00 before gratuity I couldn’t even get myself to say a single thing because all I wanted to do was to get the hell out of there. This place desperately needs help. Oh and PS the salt and pepper shakers were a clue of the lack of care being, they were half empty and dirty. Gross!"

"My husband and I have visited here often over the last few years. In face he worked here back in the day. We have always had a really nice time, been able to have good conversation and enjoy the food. Tonight was like the twilight zone or something. It was so odd. We waited for probably 20 minutes after our server first came over to get our water. She completely disappeared for 20 minutes and when she came back she seemed very overwhelmed and was carrying a tray of bread. She apologized for the delay and the was kinda the theme of the evening… longggg waits for everything and then apologies. She seems in the weeds all night. I’m not sure if her section was too spread out or they were seating her too close together, or perhaps she is a newer server. But from what we observed she only had about 4 Or 5 active tables at any time. I’ve worked in the industry for 22 years so I recognize the little things going on. Believe me, I know rough nights happen. It was just a very awkward experience. We even had another server who had checked on us and we asked for a box and then we never saw her again. The vibe of the whole place seemed off. No manager presence. Usually I see them walking the floor. By the time we finally got our entrees it was about an hour and 20 minutes from sitting down. Our steaks were great. But we were super disappointed with the crab dip that we get every time we come. Our server had told us that she hadn’t brought the dip Out bc they were waiting on the tid bits. So it looked like it had sat under the heat lamps on the line for a good while. Again… we get it, bad experiences happen, maybe the kitchen was short staffed, maybe a server called out. I’m not sure but I even overheard 3 other tables near us talking about it. If this happened at my restaurant I would want to be made aware. Our server was very sweet and this is not to get anyone in trouble, only to share an experience."

"Baci Cafe was our go to location due to proximity, excellent food, and great service. We considered ourselves regulars and brought many friends there who also enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, the service and recognition of their “regulars” has waned. The turn over in wait staff makes it challenging for a relationship to develop. The location was at least moderately busy in the past, but the last few times, patronage seemed sparse. Not a huge deal, but their Open Table app was also not working the previous visit. Today’s experience was a bit disappointing. To start off, the owner’s son did not recognize us. Again, not a big deal but an effort to get to know your patrons falls under “attention to detail.” There were maybe six customers dining and we requested a low table (vs. the high bar like tables). When we were escorted to a two person table immediately adjacent to another couple, my wife asked if the other tables were available. She was told they were reserved. Oh, well! We sat at our table and the waitress was prompt and friendly. We did have to ask for bread and she cheerfully returned with a basket. The bread was old and hard. It was almost an inch thick of crust all around. When our meals were brought to the table, I told the waitress she could take the bread since it was lacking. She said they had just put in fresh loaves and offered to bring us more. We declined. Our entrees were fantastic. Flavorful, nice presentation, and hot. No complaints here! Our waitress did forget to come check on us and more water would have been welcomed. She did come by to offer dessert and wrap my wife’s leftovers. Yours truly’s meal didn’t stand a chance of making it out of the restaurant in anything other than in my belly!! It was still a good experience, but not to the level as we had consistently enjoyed there before."
