"However, once we were seated, our waiter took our drink order but did not return for quite a while. By the time he came back to take our food order, we had already finished our drinks and the full pitcher of water he had brought. After taking our order, we didn’t see him again for about 20 minutes. We were left with no drinks, unable to ask questions, or request appetizers—nothing. Eventually, someone else brought out our food, but the side dishes were incorrect. When we pointed this out, he insisted they were correct and walked away. My husband and I both ordered 22 oz steaks because we enjoy having leftovers. We asked for them to be cooked medium well, but what we received was practically raw and extremely fatty. To make matters worse, we had no steak knives and were attempting to cut our nearly raw steaks with butter knives. After another 10 minutes, our waiter—who I could see rolling silverware behind us—finally came over to check on us. We inquired about the sides, requested a refill on our drinks (which we hadn’t had in about 35-40 minutes), asked for proper knives, and mentioned our undercooked steaks. He returned 10 minutes later with water, but never offered to refill our sodas or alcohol. He didn’t address our steak issues and insisted that the crusty potato dish they brought us was actually their mashed potatoes. He claimed that sometimes the kitchen staff decides to make them mashed and at other times they do not. I pointed out that the table just two feet away from us had actual mashed potatoes, and he corrected me by saying they were whipped, not mashed."

"my wife and I were often in arlo in soho and have really enjoyed our stays in general. But this time there was an incident that really destroyed the trip. in the first night we went to the restaurant, lindens, and were in the bar relaxing and with an appetizer. the drinks and eating were good, but there were two women sitting at the bar less than ten feet away, which made the experience unbearable. they spoke loudly what was good, but then they suddenly break up with screaming laughing or screaming, and it was literally anxious, and that happened many, often throughout the time we were there, and that was early in the evening and the bar was not even full. we complained to a manager who immediately spoke to one of the women and asked them to shorten it. they were still as loud as before. After I continued to suffer, I found a manager matt and spoke to him. I explained the situation and said that we try to relax and enjoy ourselves, and these two women made it impossible. he replied that they were trying to enjoy themselves, and I could not believe his answer. If they look at the menu of lindens, it seems that they try to be higher and thus you would expect a better environment. the manager to insult me in principle after a reasonable complaining was really unacceptable. we then talked to a director called anthony, who was more konsiliatiw and apologised, but still did not change anything. After this night we did not go to the restaurant or into the bar for the duration of our stay, and it really made a bad impression on us. As I mentioned earlier, we were always in arlo, but we were very disappointed by this incident."

"I had high hopes for Pepe Boca. I was certainly disappointed. When we first arrived everything seemed nice. We were seated right away. I now know why the restaurant was half empty. They brought some bread which was the only edible thing in the whole place. The waitress seemed extremely incompetent and incapable if answering basic questions about the very limited menu. She said she would ask the chef but apparently he was not in the kitchen. I ordered the charcuterie board for a starter and then ordered our entrees. It took over 1 hour for a board of sliced salami and cheese to come out of the kitchen, during which time we were not even offered a refill on our drinks. We had to request refills of our water 3 times before it was brought. The main entrees then took an hour longer to arrive. We were just about to leave before our food came. I wish we had. Three of us had ordered the gnocci which was burnt and inedible, I had the Osso bucco which was tough and grisely. The risotto had no flavor at all. The other two people had the pizza which was less than average. By the time we had finished I was very angry. The waitress blamed the kitchen, a new menu, and staff change for the problems, failing to give an excuse for her ineptitude(usually if a kitchen is that far behind a good waitress can ease the stress by being more attentive or at least making sure the drinks stay filled). I felt like I was just cheated out of my hard earned money. The restaurant should have adjusted the bill for such a poor experience, but that would have taken a single competent person to realize what was happening and there were none to be found. As we were leaving, never to come back, two or three other tables around us were experiencing the same misery. I always hope for local restaurants to succeed, and maybe Pepe Bocca can turn itself around, but I will not be going back there ever again."

"Although our server was polite and apologetic, they appeared to be quite inexperienced, lacking initiative and effective communication with their colleagues. When we ordered our pasta, which was a standalone dish without sides, we inquired about the availability of bread. We were informed that it was their busiest time after 5 PM, and unfortunately, they had run out of bread. They explained they were short-staffed, with only one cook able to make bread, despite others in the kitchen wearing aprons who couldn't help. It was puzzling, considering this is a pizza restaurant that specializes in bread with toppings, which other customers were ordering and receiving. We asked if the bread could be served with our meal when it became available since we were waiting for our dish. The server assured us they would try. While we waited for our lasagna for 30 minutes—having ordered no appetizers and not receiving any complimentary substitutes—four guests who arrived at the same time as us received their entire meals. The server checked on the bread cooking status but could never give us a time estimate, raising our suspicions about whether they were relaying our inquiries to the cook. Two other guests, also seated at the same time, ordered bread and received it in about 10 minutes, with their full meals delivered within 30 minutes. I asked our server how those guests got bread when we were told there was none available. They explained that it was a different type of twisted bread that could only be obtained by placing an order for it. When we asked how long it would take if we ordered that bread, we were told approximately 20 minutes. Given that we had already waited nearly 30 minutes for our lasagna, we assumed the complimentary bread would be ready shortly, as surely it wouldn't take 50 minutes to an hour. After 30 minutes, the lasagna was finally served, and we asked about the status of the bread, reiterating that we were told they would try to get it to us with our meal. When it wasn't served alongside the lasagna, we followed up again. It felt like we were starting the conversation over as the server responded that they would check on the bread's status. We had understood from the previous discussions that we would be getting the bread, but it seemed like we were going in circles."
