"WOW, so I come here for lunch. Two WHITE men come in after me and ordered. They both get their food before me so I simply ask the lady, is my food almost done as well. Mind you I never brought up anyone else I simply ask her a question. She goes on to say that they ordered before me which is NOT TRUE. I ordered and sat down and they ordered their salad and chicken pesto after me. I tell her actually those men were after me I was sitting right here when they ordered after me. The cook starts saying OH CALM DOWN EVERYONE EATS and I literally was calm. Telling me to calm down and blowing me off is extremely rude. I tell him I am calm please don't talk to me like that. Then they start speaking in Spanish. Then she tosses my order to me and I said can I please get a bag and she says 10 cents I said I told you I wanted a bag when you asked me if this to go and I know for a fact she did not give the same hassle to the WHITE gentlemen who came after me. I just don't understand the unnecessary rudeness like I swear to you I was not being rude but at this point I am upset he then goes on to say Black people always overreact. I tell him that is extremely rude and stereotypical to say and he says well I'm brown so I can say that. Sir, no you can not. He starts yelling at me at the top of his lungs. ALL 3 of them are literally VERBALLY ATTACKING ME!!! DO NOT COME HERE especially if you are black they will probably spit in your food. I was literally crying when I got to the car because how they did me was not necessary at all."

"We came here after wanting something healthy and looked at the menu and reviews online. The reviews were pretty good. The cashier was super sweet and polite. The atmosphere felt more so of like a pub of some sorts. It was clean and plenty of seating around. However, it was pretty empty when we came on a Sunday. There was a plasma screen showing the football game on the other side of the restaurant. The have a staff shortage and we were patient and understanding. However, the order of our food came at awkward times. My husband's food came way ahead (he ordered the beef bowl) of mines and we couldn't eat together or else his food would get cold. I got the black bean burger and yuca fries and instead of the fries coming out with the burger, it came out way before the burger. My husband's beef bowl came out 10 minutes after ordering. The yuca fries came 15 minutes after ordering and my black bean burger came like 40 minutes after the yuca fries. My ratings on the food:Beef bowl: 5.5/10 I tried some of my husband's and it was super saucy and salty. The beef was more of a corned beef hash consistency and while the flavor was there, it was overly salty. My husband had to eat some of my yuca fries to balance the saltiness. The rice to beef ratio was off and he was left with rice soup after he ate all the beef. Yuca fries: 7/10 it came with 8 big pieces and was steaming hot when we got it. It also came with an aioli that was delicious. They added some sort of seasoning on it that made it flavorful. I enjoyed the yuca fries as they were cooked perfectly and nice and hot.Black bean burger: 7.5/10 I loved the flavor of the black bean burger and it was cooked like how I liked it, nice and crisp around the edges. It's definitely homemade and I enjoyed the toppings with the burger. It came with a slaw, avocado, chimichurri sauce on the side, and a spicy chipotle sauce that all went well together. The patty itself, contained corn and was seasoned very well. However, I would not pay $13 for it again. It did not come with fries and I had to pay an additional $4.20 for the yuca fries. So that's like a whopping $17.20 for both burger and fries. However, it did come with a very small serving of macaroni salad, so I wasn't too mad about that. The macaroni salad was okay. I had a lot of mac salad in my lifetime as I love mac salad and this was mediocre. Not the greatest, but decent. Ube ice cream: 3/10 disappointing. They didn't even give us a full scoop but half of a scoop. It wasn't homemade and we knew exactly what brand it came from. I understand it was $2, but wish they would at least give us a full scoop instead of half a scoop. Everything was on the pricier side and to be fairly honest, I don't think we would come back. The food was just okay. It wasn't great nor was it bad but we wouldn't go out of our way. Service was nice but not outstanding. As far as being a healthier alternative, I don't know as a lot of items on the menu were definitely calorie bombs. I really wanted to like this place but I left disappointed. However, I encourage you to try this restaurant out, as you might have a different experience and palette than I do."
