"This place is absolutely amazing. I first came here with my Daughter and her family so the memories I have here mean the world to me. Every time I visit I am reminded of them and feel close to them again since they have moved so far away. The have aloaded fries plate that is absolutely amazing. All the food has been wonderful and the atmosphere is awesome! The service isstellar and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are friendly and inviting and make you feel welcome. They do not rush youinto a decision and are willing to make recommendations that fit exactly what you didn't know you wanted! Every time I come hereI find a new favorite. They are very kid/family friendly and are very patient with little ones. My granddaughter is autistic andthey had so much patience with her that it was heartwarming. They soon had her out of her shell and smiling and laughing andloving being there. As a family we felt welcomed and embraced. We were not made to feel uncomfortable for the littles getting alittle loud and they stopped by to laugh with the littles. This is definitely a place I will return to both as a family and as acouple. The staff makes this a great place and the exceptional food just puts the icing on the cake!!!"

"WOW! This place was just absolutely amazing! The Birria Tacos with the broth were so filling and flavorful. The Carna Asada was loaded with onions and peppers! And the taco plate was delicious with lots of extras on the side! Their rice and beans were so good as well! I have a feeling no matter what you are ordering here... you can't go wrong. On top of all the great food, the service was just outstanding! Definitely will be back here sooner than later!"

"Rico's is truly a hidden gem. A friend recommended it for lunch, and I had no idea it was even there. The patio features a charming, secluded area for dining. We chose to visit for a late lunch, which meant it wasn't crowded, and the weather was simply beautiful. The staff was friendly, and our food arrived exceptionally quickly. I ordered the house lime margarita on the rocks alongside the cowboy burrito. To my surprise, there were hot dogs sliced into the burrito. I was a bit hesitant since I didn't recall that detail in the description, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. Without a doubt, it was one of the best burritos I've had in ages! It was packed with flavor, and the mix of meats, rice, beans, pico, and queso was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to return and try more items from the menu!"

"Have eaten here several times. Was surprised that with a reservation we were still sitting at a booth looking into the kitchen. We could have asked to be moved, but we didn't want to. The waiter was very enthusiastic, but failed to fill glasses of water without being asked. My husband's lasagna was a huge brick in the middle of an unadorned plate. A little salad or something green and crispy would have been nice. Not an à la carte fan, especially when it comes to the price of the main course alone. The room was very dark and a bit noisy. I would ask not to sit in this area another time."

"While the service was slow, I attribute that to them still finding their rhythm. The staff was very friendly, and the food was absolutely fantastic! The meat was flavorful, the rice was delicious, but the beans—wow! I had to order a side to take home because they were simply incredible. Despite the wait times, it was well worth it. "We ordered over the phone. Nothing was ordered special, just exactly as it is on the menu. We picked up our order. When we got home the order was not correct. I was missing my sides and my husband was missing the tortillas for his meal. We tried calling(they were still open for an hour) and no one answered the phone. We called multiple times. It went to a voicemail that wasfull/not working. I sent a Facebook message as well which they replied the next day to say they would speak with the manager andget back to me about the mishap. They never did get back to me. We decided to eat the food even with disappointment. When I bitin I realized they stuffed my sides inside the burrito. I have no idea why they did that. I did not ask for that to be done. IfI were dining in I?d ask them to remake that. Also, my husbands food was so salty he couldn?t enjoy it. Waste of money that Iclearly won?t get back since they aren?t on top of their mistakes or correcting them. Do not recommend."

"This unassuming little restaurant may not catch your eye from the exterior, but the dining experience is truly fantastic! The salsa is always the first taste test, and it is fresh, spicy, and delicious. The tomatillo sauce for the enchiladas verdes was excellent. The Pollo Cancun dish is delicious. "The hostess could use some additional training in customer service. We made a reservation, and upon our arrival, she informed us that there would be a 10-minute wait, which was perfectly fine. However, she appeared somewhat annoyed—perhaps she was having a rough day. We decided to sit outside, but after sitting there for 10 to 15 minutes without any service, we asked the hostess if we could move inside. Without hesitation, she said no because our table inside had already been given away. While I understand the situation, there was no effort on her part to resolve it—no offering to see what could be done or suggesting that we could sit at the bar. It felt like there was no effort at all! There were only two of us, and the restaurant came highly recommended, especially since Mexican cuisine is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, we ended up leaving and dining at another local restaurant."

"I can’t speak to how authentic the cuisine is, but I can say that we had a delicious and hot meal during our visit to Bloomington today. The salsa was full of flavor—my wife found it a bit on the spicy side, but I loved it. The guacamole was more suited to her taste. As soon as I saw they offered tongue, I knew I had to try it. I ordered the cow tongue burrito, and the meat was cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. My wife chose the fish tacos, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Our toddler had a blast pulling apart the tacos, and I also had a taste of the beef taco, which was excellent. The service was fantastic too. Whenever we find ourselves in town again, we will definitely return here!"

We had to ask for him to come to our table twice. A group that came in after us received their appetizer and meal by the time we ordered. The manager did stop and ask if we'd gotten our food yet, I suppose she saw us waiting for an extended period of time. My sister loved the fresh salsa."

"Usually very good, we go every month or so, but had a bummer experience last night. The sides for the two fajita orders came out 10-15 before the sizzling platters so had cold beans/rice by the time everything was together. 15 minutes span between first dish to last dish brought to the table. Wasn’t that busy either. My daughter ordered Baja Salad with Mahi and was brought a totally different dish with shrimp in a bed of lettuce garnish. She said to keep it and they would bring the proper order because she wanted a salad, after 30 minutes she came back and asked if we still wanted it when we were almost done. Oh well, I’ll still keep going because the food is great!"

"I ordered the chicken enchiladas with mole sauce and ropa vieja, but unfortunately, the spices were not well-balanced. The enchiladas had way too much chili powder, while the steak was overwhelming with cumin. The service was lacking as well; we waited outside for about 15 to 20 minutes because the staff seemed to forget we were there. Our food arrived at an average pace, but it took them 20 minutes to clear our plates once we were done. We asked for the bill once, and just as we were about to remind them again, they finally brought it to us. Overall, it was just okay. It’s possible we encountered the wrong dishes at the wrong time, as we arrived after work around 6 PM. Additionally, one person in our party was vegetarian and found only two main course options, and the server informed us that he couldn’t substitute beans or peppers for chicken in any of the dishes."
