"My experience at Quetzal Authentic Mexican Cuisine was overall excellent! We were promptly seated in a cozy booth by our waiter. A few minor hiccups occurred early on, but nothing frustrating or difficult to resolve. I ordered a tall Budweiser with some Bloody Mary mix on the side and wasn't asked for ID, which is mainly a staff responsibility—I was thankfully of legal age. The Budweiser arrived, but the mix did not. When I politely reminded the server, there seemed to be a language barrier or unfamiliarity, so another server came over to clarify what I wanted. They quickly corrected the mistake and brought it out shortly after.
Stepping out of my comfort zone, I chose a dish different from my usual camarones a la Diablo. The food presentation was impressive—everything arrived steaming hot, well-prepared, and with a fantastic variety in my plate. The dish included fish, scallops, crab, shrimp, cheese, peppers, onions, avocado, and cactus. While the flavors were somewhat subtle, with the sauce lacking a strong taste, each bite highlighted the individual seafood component. This might be the intended effect, as this isn't a dish I typically order, but it looked too good not to try!
I will definitely return to Quetzal Authentic Mexican Cuisine and plan to order the camarones a la Diablo next time to experience more bold flavors. The atmosphere is great, the staff attentive, and the menu offers a wide selection. I’m excited to give it another chance!"
