"Food could be improved. The butter was not salted, the food felt assembly line/pre-made out of the kitchen. However you serve a large number of people. Also-I really hated the bathroom is not in the restaurant. The server and manager were fantastic. I could not say enough about their kindness. I had a third person show up I wasn’t expecting and they were able to accommodate, which was extremely nice. I would come back for coffee and a snack, but not a meal."

"I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but while the food was amazing the service was meh. The place wasn’t even full, and they took forever to bring our drinks and food. We had to call the waitress several times. Also they didn’t ask about any allergies or aversions, and I had a terrrible experience. Not their fault though, but they did nothing about it. Come here for the food, but don’t expect to get the best service, and be prepared for a generous check"

"This restaurant is so pretty inside and you also have an option of the outdoor patio seating. The food was awesome and worth the price. Delicious Sangria! Definitely coming back!"

"I've been here a couple times now, and have loved it. It has a very cozy, local, neighborhood-y vibe that can be hard to find theses days. Lots of indoor seating. I ordered the Reuben sandwich with side salad, and it was generously portioned, delicious, and fresh. Their coffee is also good and we'll-priced. This is a good place to catch up with a friend, read, or get some work done."

"I had made a reservation for 7:30. It was my son's birthday. We also stayed at the River Crab hotel there . We were seated at 7:45 At 8:05 No one still had come to.our table. Had to ask for water and 8:15 a boy brought us water and said he would send over a waitress. 8:30 still no waitress Got up and told the hostess to please send a waitress. 8 :40 still no one. Every waitress passed out table like we were not even there. I.was so upset that we got up and left the restaurant and went somewhere else.to eat. There were 4 of us and my son's birthday was totally ruined!!!!!. I have never in my life treated so poorly at a restaurant. I will be sure to tell my friends of the horrible service we received. NO EXCUSE FOR THIS KIND OF SERVICE!!!!!!!!!"

"We don 't go here often because of the loudness (er liveliness . But we forgot how good the food is. On the late side on a weeknight, the menu has a chance to shine. It 's one of the places you can get real Dover sole last night 's special. And plenty of other great fish and seafood. I almost gave a 5 for service but for one ding trying to clear one of our plates before the other was finished. A pet peeve, perhaps, but classy places should know better. Otherwise, our server was excellent knowledgeable, well paced, delightful. It 's Bethesda prices but fair for quality ingredients."

"Exceptional food in an authentic, non-demanding environment. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful, which added to the great experience. For bread lovers, there are 3 different breads, all of which are made there and are all wonderful. I stop on the way out of town to pick up bread and take it home to friends. My salad was fabulous and the vodka chicken pasta (a specialty) was cooked perfectly with a wonderful sauce. The specials change with the seasons. Desserts are all made there and everyone looked great. We share the ice cream on Sunday with homemade caramelized marshmallows and chocolate ganache. It was wonderful. You can share it with 4 people as it is very large. We will definitely have dinner here again when we return to Mayo and Golf."

"Very Disappointing! We used to love going to Artisanal but this time we were taken aback and apparently other diners feel the same way. Usually, the restaurant is jam packed but on the night we were there it was maybe 30% at best. Service? It has never been great but now it is worse. Waitstaff is rude and indifferent. Food? It used to be good but now it is AWFUL. The menu has changed and not for the better. We started with the large seafood platter and that was a mistake. For $150 we got 10 oysters and 8 clams they were delicious! 8 teeny tiny shrimp, a teeny tiny lobster tail, a teeny tiny claw, 3 small pieces of crab and a "seafood salad ' that I cannot describe. We usually order this platter at Balthazar and are never disappointed. Here, very disappointed! The seafood salad had ingredients that just do not go w seafood. It left a bad taste in our mouths. Almost Indian type spices???? No mussels, no whelks. We would have been better to order 2 dozen oysters for $72. Onto the main course. No more steak frites! In place, my husband ordered hanger steak and it just wasn 't the same. A strong marinade and no frites! I ordered the lobster with cabbage and it was awful. I sent it back, got onion soup instead and it too was awful! It had an underlying taste like cabbage instead of the rich beefy cheesy onion taste. BTW, w a room in back with pounds and pounds of cheese, they put one skimpy piece of cheese on the soup! Last but least, the wine list was very overpriced! Bottles were extremely overpriced. I had a martini for $21.00 and my husband had a couple of glasses of chardonnay at $18.00 each. Way too much for the amount served and the 'casual bistro ' you 're dining at! I just looked online and realized why I was so disappointed w this awful and very expensive meal $300+ Terrance Brennan sold the restaurant to Sarid Drory. He is one of the original owners of The Waverly Inn and The Cub Room. Well, now there 3 restaurants I will not be returning to! STAY AWAY"

"Delicious food! We’ve never had a bad meal here. The salad that accompanies the meal could use some improvement, but overall, it’s great. The waitstaff and owners are incredibly friendly, and the food arrives quickly. Prices are also reasonable. If you haven't been here yet, definitely give it a try!"

"Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."

"Steak was good prime angus beef cooked the way I asked. Salmon was dry though. Waitress forgot to give us the specials until we asked and didn't come by often to check if we needed anything, when I did. Very crowded and and noisy setting if you are looking for a setting more personal."

"I went with a group for a birthday. It was the worst service any of us had ever experienced. Our waiter only took a couple of drink orders and then left for more than 20 minutes before we checked in to take the rest of the table order. For the food we had to tell him that we had to order. Then he took 4 orders, went away and didn't come back. When we got him to come back after telling several other workers we needed to complete the order, he forgot that he had taken the first few orders. He finally took a few more orders and went, again not to every person at the table. It took 2 hours in total and the food came out at all different times. We were all honestly very confused about what was happening throughout our dinner."

"We visited Mimi's Cafe in Ventura for the first time yesterday, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, featuring fresh ingredients straight from the farm! The croissant was absolutely amazing, and the muffins were fantastic! The servers and staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the enjoyable atmosphere. Plus, the prices are very reasonable!"

"We went to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, but were extremely disappointed with our experience. The food was subpar and overpriced, with a limited selection. The caesar salad was particularly bad, with bitter, yellow lettuce. It had been years since my last visit to the restaurant, and unfortunately it seems to have declined in quality. I spoke with an acquaintance who shared the same opinion. The service was alright but slow, with a busboy even forgetting to give us water and then arguing when we asked for it. Overall, it was a waste of money and ruined the birthday celebration."

"We had another fantastic experience at this restaurant! My husband and I took his mother out for a lovely meal, and we were well taken care of. She has limited mobility, but the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We started with the lobster flatbread, which was both delicious and light! We also tried the bacon-wrapped stuffed dates - I just wish there were more on the plate - served with smoked paprika aioli. For our main courses, we ordered penne carbonara with prawns, ribeye with Gorgonzola gnocchi, and meat lasagna. We topped everything off with the Limoncello mascarpone cake for dessert. My gnocchi was cooked to perfection, and the steak came with a lovely wine sauce complemented by mushrooms and green peppercorns. It was a bit noisy, but that was expected on a busy Saturday night. I truly can’t wait to go back!"

"Enjoyed a nice dinner with my wife and daughter last night. The food was very good but the service was very slow we were seated for three hours it seemed that our server was taking care of too many tables not sure if there was a lack of servers yesterday also, someone in regular street clothes served us our soups and I noticed a woman in regular street clothes removing used dishes from a table that was next to ours. The restaurant was busy last night and it looked like every table was occupied."

"When my dish arrived, the home fries were barely warm, and their overcooked texture made them feel more like potato chips. I mentioned this to the waitress, who took my plate back to the kitchen. When she returned, I was given the same potatoes, which seemed to have just been microwaved to warm them up. Unfortunately, they tasted terrible. The bill came to $15.00, making this breakfast feel like a complete waste of money. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you're looking for a genuine omelet and great home fries, I recommend The Pantry Cafe in downtown L.A. It's worth every penny!"
