"We had the most wonderful dinner with friends. The food was fantastic, the cocktails were top notch and as always, we had impeccable service. We always do! We have been coming to this restaurant for years (back when it was Trio) and always love having El as our waiter. He is absolutely phenomenal. Joe, the sommelier always makes sure we are taken care of as well. The whole team there is amazing! My husband had the rack of lamb which was cooked as requested: medium rare, as it should be! The whipped potatoes and Brussels sprouts were a great size for 4 adults to share. Mind you, 4 adults who also had a couple of amazing appetizers as well. We got the house rolls and empanadas. Yummy! The house rolls are served warm with sides of butter and honey. Can’t go wrong with anything you order, it is always cooked to perfection. Others have said this place is overpriced but honestly it is The Four Seasons in downtown Austin, of course it is going to be pricey."

"A great restaurant still to be all the way ready to be just outstanding in the Michelin league I guess they intend to play. The place and the atmosphere is fantastic, with the kitchen wide open welcoming the guests upon arrival. Service is just correct (didn 't help that much when being asked about specific details of the dishes), the food is very good, handled very carefully, with vegetables from the organic farm the lodge has and that you should visit, and very nicely prepared (portions quite small though, from my point of view, specially entries and appetiser), I wish they were a little less pricey so you could try some more. Good wine selection in American wines (not so good in Spanish, for example) and great views to the mountains make it a great experience overall, of course if you can afford it (over 200$ per head with average wine plus the 'mandatory ' tip) Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5"

"Wow! The owner welcomed us by holding the door open and shaking our hands, setting the stage for an incredible dining experience. The service was exceptional. This is easily the best steak restaurant we've ever visited! I highly recommend making a reservation and enjoying a meal at Halls. They make you feel like family! They were also very accommodating with dietary requests; they could make anything fried gluten-free! My husband and I have decided this will be our go-to spot whenever we visit Charleston! Thank you, Halls, for a wonderful experience!"

"This restaurant is a true gem. Located right on the river in downtown Greenville. The first impression when we walked in the door was we are not only going to enjoy the food, we enjoyed the live music and the overall atmosphere. The food was cooked perfectly and prepared just like each of us asked for. The waitress was very knowledgeable and made several great recommendations. If you are ever in downtown Greenville make this just must do dinner restaurant."

"No reservations needed 5 pm on a Saturday but it was getting crowded and it was kind of loud in there. Service was pretty quick. Drinks , appetizers, entrees, dessert, in and out in about 45 minutes or so. We had 3 spicy margaritas, 1 burata appetizer, linguine with white clam sauce, short rib tagliatelle, ricotta cheese cake, tiramisu, a coffee came out to $151.00. Good meal in a nice restaurant. I wouldn’t call it fine dining, I wouldn’t brag about anything in particular or go out of my way to dine there again but it was good. We weren’t treated like family or wowed by an innovative or diverse menu and I don’t feel ripped off. Just kind of Meh! "10/8 We had our first experience here last night. Our staff was amazing, our waiter was very polite, and helpful. My spouse ordered Wagyu steak and lobster tail. Toward the end of his dinner I tried a bite of the lobster and felt it tasted off and didnot like it. We shared our sides, we had the mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts and button mushrooms which were all very wellprepared. Our dessert was perfect. However, I had slight stomach pains immediately following dinner, and my spouse was nauseasall night, followed by emesis at 2:30am. He was fine prior to dinner. We purchased a hotel for the night across the way, andneedless to say it has been a horrible and uncomfortable night with neither of us sleeping. For the amount of money we spent onthe night over $600, I am truly disappointed that he got food poisoning. We will not be returning to this establishment in thefuture. 10/10 Follow-Up: Restaurant called to thank us for coming Saturday, relayed our concerns, manager Maria called us backsame day to apologize. I appreciate that she did not deflect and took responsibility. The restaurant does not do refunds, sounfortunately the only offer was a discount next time, which I highly doubt I will ever get my spouse to return. Very saddenedthat our night went this way."

"Have eaten here several times. Was surprised that with a reservation we were still sitting at a booth looking into the kitchen. We could have asked to be moved, but we didn't want to. The waiter was very enthusiastic, but failed to fill glasses of water without being asked. My husband's lasagna was a huge brick in the middle of an unadorned plate. A little salad or something green and crispy would have been nice. Not an à la carte fan, especially when it comes to the price of the main course alone. The room was very dark and a bit noisy. I would ask not to sit in this area another time."

"Excellent ! We loved the food and the drinks! Innovative and interesting menu and the dishes are as tasty as they sound. Four of us shared a sampler appetizer plate, Mantoo, A vegetarian plate, and Beef Kofta kabob with saffron rice. The portions were ample, but not huge, and had distinctive, well balanced flavors. We will be back!"

"My wife and I celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary. We dined at 1789 to celebrate our union several times over the years. Our experience on Jan 14 2023 was excellent. Our server, Shantey, exhibited a superb understanding about each entree and made our dinner particularly memorable. She also explained how each item was prepared in a way that was easy to understand I highly encourage feasting at 1789."

"Ordinary in disguise. My wife and I have been to 2 of the different dressler locations and have not been impressed with either. Sure, the branding is great. The atmosphere isn’t bad. But the food is just far too ordinary. We met in-laws for birthday dinner at the birkdale location. Super nice FOH, waitress was fantastic and attentive. Started with the charcuterie board for the table and Parmesan risotto for our 2.5 year old and ordered wines- which the wine list wasn’t bad either. Risotto was made for a child, even though we confirmed it was made like it typically was. Woefully under-seasoned, slightly crunchy and dry. Not a good risotto at all but hey, my toddler ate it. Charcuterie board was home chef level- basic at best. Maybe 5 saltines on the side of some brown mustard and 3 salamis with cheese chunks. Would not recommend. I ordered the NY strip and wife ordered the Mahi dishes. Had to send back the NY strip as it was charred and acrid even if the center was pink, signs of a grill that is far too hot and a kitchen that rushes. It was unpalatable and I ordered it medium-rare. Opted for the crab cakes instead which were actually fantastic! Potatoes on the side for both were chewy and lacked depth of flavor, average at best. Didn’t have dessert as we had spent enough without a real return on value. Won’t be returning unless it’s for beers and crab cakes at the bar. Food: 2.5/5 Drink: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 3.5/5"

"What a fun, rustic chic mix! Not overly refined, but still has a higher end vibe, somehow. The decor and space is casual enough for kids to feel comfortable, but server was excellent well spoken, attentive but not over bearing (my husband said his formal Russian was flawless). Food was flavorful and portions were appropriately sized filling. The highlight was a birthday song, with the server playing accordion!"
"Second time dining here. First time we waited a LONG time for a table despite having a reservation. The hotel/restaurant were very crowded that night with a large wedding group. This time we arrived early and were told it would be a “few minutes” for our table to be ready unlike our previous visit the restaurant was not crowded and there were many empty tables. So we said we’d go to the bar for a drink. After we finished our drinks TWENTY minutes later, I checked back at the hostess stand where I watched her check in a couple and send them to their table. I asked if our table was ready first she started to tell me it would be a few minutes, then she said she couldn’t find us and had texted me. We had told her we’d be at the bar (it was HER suggestion! and no, she did not text me! We were brought to a table and given menus. 15 minutes later, after watching servers pass by us and wait on surrounding tables, I got up to see if anyone even knew we were there! A server asked me if I was looking for a rest room, I told him I was trying to find our server! He apologized profusely and said he was on his way to our table because he had just been notified we were his table! From that point service was excellent, but we ended up having to rush dinner to get to the theatre on time. Not sure we’ll return a third time. While the menu is great, we’ve had better experiences overall at other places nearby."

"Amazing salsa !! Great service and a fun environment !!! But they need better chefs with more than one cooking style who know how NOT to overcook all the meat they offer. ALL dishes taste very similar! All with burnt burn marks on "whatever" meat, mixed with similar spices and all well done to finish cooking. The burned cremation, like a fajitas, but for every dish? This is the second time that I had to come here with the same results ... I refuse the next time I am invited ... Maybe have a drink because the mood is good and fun ... she just need better cooks ..."

"A wonderful place for REALLY late night dining...meaning 10 PM or later. There's very few places that serve dinner that late. Excellent food and friendly service. The Chilean sea bass I had this week was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend Bellwether."

"I had been turned off by a few people because I LOVE prime rib. I had just heard great things about the restaurant. Unfortunately the whole experience was disappointing for us. We had reserved at the open table and requested a stand. When we got there the hostess did not confirm our reservation when we told her we booked them online and still got us to a table. She was our waitress and was pretty good. The drinks were well made but small for the price. We ordered the prime rib. I got the girls cut and my husband got the kings cut which is about a $ 20 price difference. When they came out, they were exactly the smaller portion I ordered in length and thickness. We ordered medium rarity (which is what it came up with), but it had no flavor and was extremely tough. If there's one thing I love almost as much as prime rib, it's ranch dressing. It was chunky and tasted terrible. (and no, it wasn't blue cheese) To get our USD 100 bill at the end of our meal, we were both utterly disappointed with the entire meal. The quality did not reflect the cost."

"For a long time Bistro has been the tried and true upscale restaurant to go to, as other upscale restaurants around Main have come and go. It was never my fave food wise, but after trying to host my wedding rehearsal dinner there, I realized that I can 't trust what food I 'd actually be getting. As we were trying to figure out whether to host the rehearsal there or not, we tried out all their food we were able to. Despite being told what our dietary restrictions were, the manager offered to add a meat appetizer several times to our menu. She seemed like she knew the words vegetarian and vegan, but not what they meant. Finally we decided on a testing menu with fries on it. Later on I found out the fries are fried in duck fat (this was about a year ago, early on in my vegan journey when I would just ask if it 's vegetarian/vegan, not specifically what things are fried in). Thankfully we ended up not doing our rehearsal at bistro but I 'd also never go back aside from the food issues, the manager was incredibly rude to my mother while being friendly to my now husband 's parents (guess which set of parents are the foreigners). They do have a vegan pate but alongside it they have regular pate. Updated from previous review on 2019 09 05"

"First time visit with some friends and had a good time. You enter a revolving door ground floor level and you will see a sign to blu next to the elevators. We ordered food and drinks. I ordered the Blu trio cod, egg steak rolls, lampchop lollipops appetizer to keep it simple and the picture I added shows it all. I didn’t like the truffle fries skinny fries . The food was fresh and hot. We had plenty of drinks including shots which were good too. The bartender was very nice and attentive. The decor and vibes was cool. I would visit again!"

"Our server Joe was THE BEST, and the person who took care of bread, butter, cleaning off courses, was also wonderful. Loved that the chef came out to our table to ask about the meal. It was such a wonderful treat for my friend's birthday dinner. We will be doing it again because it just cannot be beat. I used to go there on special occasions all the time, but had not been for 3 years because of covid and other things happening in my life. First time I saw the new decorum and we loved it! So happy these are the same chefs from before. The scallops wrapped in bacon were heavenly. The filet and lobster tails were the best we had ever had. Please keep doing what you are doing we will be back! Oh, yes, I forget about my pomegranate martini the best I have ever had. Sharon"
