"I usually don't write reviews, but I was really disappointed by Mia’s Bakery recently, despite being a long-time fan. I ordered a custom cake with their salted caramel flavor, which tasted great, but the final design was nowhere close to what I had submitted. To make matters worse, the cake was 2.5 hours late! This was simply unacceptable. I had placed my order a week in advance and even arrived later than the agreed pickup time to accommodate them. I called multiple times to confirm that picking it up an hour later would be fine, and they assured me it was. However, when I arrived, the staff member seemed completely confused by my name and request, and it was clear something was wrong. They mentioned, “this is all very disorganized." I ended up waiting nearly an hour only to receive what looked like a rushed, last-minute project. It was obvious my order had been forgotten. I would have preferred honesty upfront so I could have opted for a standard caramel cake, which at least would have looked appealing. Instead, I received a cake with poorly attached and cut edible paper that didn’t resemble my reference at all. I ended up being late for the party, and on top of that, the cake was quite expensive."
