"No complaints. Ordered a family size meal for a birthday get together. Got a pound of brisket with beans, potato salad, and fries. Brisket was just right not too fatty/greasy and not too lean. Sides were good. Also got 5 chicken tenders. The bread was very moist! The BBQ sauce was very average and standard for Bill Miller's. This was probably enough food to feed about 4 5 for about $30. Not bad. This location didn't seem overly busy but I might have came after the lunch rush."

"As always they messed up my order. I've given this place so many chances but now I'm done. First of all I ordered bbq chicken and they gave me fried chicken. I asked the girl if she put the bbq sauce in the bag she said yes and of course there wasn't any sauce. Also I ordered a kids meal and they forgot my brownies and my side. And the hash browns they gave looked like they scraped it from the bottom. For how much you pay workers they should get every order right."

"Won 't be returning here. Went through the drive thru and order the #4. The lady asked if I wanted small or medium fries. In all my years of coming to Bill Miller, they have never had size options. I said medium, thinking that was the normal size. The prices listed on the menu were $6 and change and $8 and change. When I got to the window, the price was $10.10 before tax. I asked why, and it was $1.75 for the upsize in fries. I asked when they started having different sizes and she said it has always been like that. That is a flat-out lie. I used to work for Bill Miller and this is the first time in my life I have been offered sizes. Even when ordering online there are no options for different sizes. I asked her what size the meal normally came with before and she said medium, so I asked why the upcharge if that 's what it always came with. She said because you ordered medium . I told her that she just said that is what is usually comes with, then she back-pedalled. I said nevermind, it is already done, and got my food. The fries were semi-warm and not extra crispy like requested. The chicken strips were barely room temperature. I used to love Bill Miller. Too bad."

"I recently had the worst meal I've had in a long time at this restaurant. The service was slow and terrible, and I couldn't understand why the waitress was sitting where she could watch us. The food was just okay, except for the chalupa chip, which was so thick and hard that I couldn't even take a second bite. The cheese inside the enchiladas wasn't melted, and the chips were cold. The tea had also turned. Overall, I would rate the food and service a 1 out of 5. The atmosphere was decent with a rating of 4 out of 5. There was plenty of parking available in the free parking lot. The price per person for lunch was between $10 and $20."

If you want a breakfast where you get what you paid for is the Bill Miller's on Probandt. I live closer to Pleasanton and Southcross so this is why I chose this location. Never again!"

"I do feel a bit guilty critiquing the minimalist atmosphere of the place. If it were more upscale, I wouldn't have felt quite so comfortable in my casual cutoffs and sandals. However, I probably wouldn't bring a new romantic partner there either. It's hard to please everyone. With some improvements to the decor, this place could easily charge double the price—it's definitely worth it based on the food. The staff is friendly and attentive, which adds to the experience. If you're not up for dining in, you can confidently order for delivery, even if you're with a new date. As for parking, just drive around to the back of the restaurant. There’s plenty of free parking and easy access."

"After reading a few unfavorable reviews, we hesitated to try Bill Miller BBQ until now, but we were pleasantly surprised! The fried chicken is less salty compared to many big chain restaurants. It's fresh, crispy, and absolutely delicious. We also sampled the ribs, which were fantastic on their own with the dry rub, or paired with their tangy BBQ sauce that balances flavor without being too strong. The sausage link was excellent, and the thick, hearty fries complemented the meal perfectly. To top it all off, we indulged in a pint of peach cobbler. While I would give a slight edge to Harmon's for pure BBQ, which is about 10-15 minutes away, Bill Miller offers a lot of variety and convenience with its multiple locations. The service was quick and friendly, so we would definitely return without hesitation!"

"I love Bill Miller and visited this location three or four times during my couple of months living in South Austin. I fondly remember eating at Bill Miller as a college student in San Antonio and had only eaten at one once in the last eight years because I moved to a different part of the state that doesn't have them. I had been warned that they no longer have the big portions from before, but I still found myself having a hearty meal and couldn't always finish it. The brisket, potato salad, cole slaw, and fries are as delicious as I remember. The seating area is clean and the bathrooms are too. Staff was friendly. Can't wait to go back once I'm back in the area!"

"I recently submitted feedback asking for the veggie beef soup to be added to the app, and it was, along with the Soup Salad combo, which I appreciate. Although it’s labeled as a limited-time offer, I hope that’s not the case, as I enjoy having healthy options. We also enjoyed the chicken strips, which made a great addition to our salads. The green beans are always delicious! While my order was perfect, I believe there’s always room for improvement. For my drinks, I’d prefer no ice or light ice. I’d also like to request extra crispy fries and to have lemons and limes, as well as pickle onion bags, included in the extras section so I can add them to my orders. I consistently request lemons and limes on all my orders across different locations but have only received them once. If they could be listed as individual items, that might increase the chances of getting them. I really like having lots of lemon or lime with my tea, chicken strips, and salad; it would be nice to choose how many bags I get, similar to ketchup. I've also had issues with not receiving pickle onion bags with my sandwiches, so I’d appreciate being able to add those to my order, including just some extra pickles as a sample in a bag. "Here I am again, despite promising myself I wouldn't return to this location. This is now the fourth time I've visited this specific spot, and each time they repeat my order at the window yet still manage to forget multiple items. I ordered extra gravy, extra BBQ sauce, and extra fries, and none of the add-ons were included—once again. I've mentioned this before, and I mean it when I say I will NEVER come back to this location. I've written these reviews hoping someone would address the inconsistency and performance of the staff here. I’m not looking for free food or a refund; I simply want the items I ordered. I do acknowledge it's partly my fault for knowing about the employees' issue with accuracy and still not checking my order, but I shouldn't need to do that at any other location. I've never had to leave a negative review for any other Bill Miller's because generally, everyone knows their reputation, food quality, and what to expect. However, this particular location has really tarnished that reputation. Take a moment to read the reviews; I'm not alone in experiencing incorrect or incomplete orders."

"On March 4th, I put in an order for brisket, rice, beans, potato salad, tea, etc. Whoever the people that worked that day, along with the manager HUGE THANK YOU!! My order was for about 50 plates. And our order was very well packed, and ready for us to serve that day. It came with seving utensils, plates, cups, condiments, etc. The food was warm, and of course delicious! I've always had good service from this location. Also, when we go in the mornings to buy breakfast, there's an older lady picking up the money at the drive thru. "Staff pleasant and pleasant. Food tastes okay nothing great I had better in other places. The reason for the one-star rating is my roasted chicken flour. I ordered 3 chests and fries with tea. Even the proposed brownies bought. My meal comes that I'm hungry, and my three breasts were actually 1 and half a breast. Your business is cutting the chest in half and loading for a full chest. Why? "This is not a very good BBQ place. The food was warm not fresh and hot and the ribs had the appearance of heat and eat food that?s prepared elsewhere then heated up at location to serve. They were the worst ribs I?ve had tough and chewy nothing at allthat I would expect from a place holding themselves out as a BBQ joint. I had a three meat plate with potato salad green beansand Mac and cheese. The portions were very small but I liked the potato salad. The ribs I?ve discussed and the other meats weresausage and brisket. The brisket was cool and wasn?t fresh the sausage was very chewy. The sauce was very runny and hadvirtually no flavor. I am very disappointed. My plate was 23.00 and was not worth anywhere near that. Had I known i would havegot the potato salad and a tea as that was the best part of the meal. I?ve had better BBQ by far in the cooler section atWalmart."

"It 's a great hearty meal. IF THEY BOTHER TO DO IT RIGHT! When you go thru the drive thru, pick up your breakfast, and go home with your order, you are stuck with what the store gives you. Too busy to be able to go all the way back for the store to make right what they should have do e right the first time! Since the pandemic, I have noticed, sadly, that they don 't bother to care what goes out the drive thru window. This Helotes store in particular! The bean and cheese taco was so sloppy, so little beans!!! It 's just beans! And then, the hash browns. The amount of potatoes can 't be right. But if what has been going out the window is what you are selling, I 'm not impressed, nor am I interested! BUT WORSE, the manager listened to my story, then promptly said, Enjoy your day. And hung up! WELCOME TO THE NEW BILL MILLERS! DON 'T BOTHER P.S. This is about the 8th or 9th time this has happened. I wish it was a one-off, but it seems not. Very sad!"

"I recently visited Bill Miller's and had a negative experience. The staff were rude and unhelpful, making me wait 20-30 minutes in the drive-thru just to place my order. When I requested extra tomatoes on my salad, the girl taking my order rudely informed me that the salads were pre-made. Despite offering to pay extra, she initially refused to accommodate my request. When I double-checked at the window, the girl reacted in a dismissive manner and failed to add the extra tomatoes. I had to go inside to ask for them. It's disappointing to encounter such poor customer service and indifference from the staff at this establishment. Needless to say, they have lost me as a customer."

"I DIDN'T KNOW how this work since all the Bill Millers were doing Drive thru or Calling your order for take out? SO I AM SEEING ALOT OF PEOPLE OUTSIDE at the front so I thought I can order to go from there? One person said something in Spanish then another person said we will be with you?.. I guess I must of waited at leased five minutes before someone came to ask me what I needed it was like ghost town at that time everyone left and I was left standing there then a lady came out and ask me if I needed something or if I was there to pick up an order in Spanish I was puzzle cause at that moment I just couldn't get a word out because I understood her but I couldn't comprehend to begin to say anything to her in Spanish so I said yes I am ordering to go and at that moment she said ah yes one moment please? Oh my god another moment to wait? K then someone else came to ask me has someone already help you I said no, she said k wait here? At that time I beginning to think am I ever going to order any food! Angry at that moment I saw employees after employees leaving so I stop someone her name tag said Gloria I ask her can u please help me she said yes what do you need I said all I need is two pieces of fried chicken and fries and a large Pepsi she told me k just wait here k she came right back to me and told me your order is coming I told her thank you then the same person that came to charge me and give me the order is the same person who said wait here my experience her at bill Miller bbq went out and beyond first cause I waited forever and beyond because as nice as one of your employee leaving home and took her time to give me what I ask I cannot forget till this day! I haven't gone back to bill Miller bbq on nacogdoches and 410 because of my bad experience I go to another one on Broadway where I am greeted and help right away. But I just wanted to thank and hope she gets this gratitude thank you to Gloria."

"I just don't know what is wrong with this location. Either the drive thru takes forever to go through or They almost never have chicken ready. And even when they do it isn't breaded properly as there are huge dry spots on it because the person breading it did not do it right or it it is not being stirred properly. I went today at 11:45 thinking it's lunch time they should have fresh chicken up since it is the heart of lunch hour in the area. The line was super long in the drive thru and after a couple of minutes of waiting I decide to get out of line to go inside because it should be faster right? But nope after placing my order for a #2 after waiting a minute or two the packager sees me waiting and asks what I have I told her and she says did they tell you there was a wait on chicken. I was like no. She tells me it will be another 4 minutes. I just don't understand that. It is the heart of lunch hour and I know when I worked for Bill Millers the last of our chicken should have been coming by 11:30 but there was always chicken up up by 10:30 at the latest and if more was cooking it was only to keep up with future demand to get us through the next hour or so. It definitely wouldn't be because we didn't have any up and ready to serve. Especially on a Friday lunch hour. I have complained to corporate in the past and they have responded with a gift card and promises to get with the Area manager to correct the problems in this store but that was months ago and the same problems are still there. But I guess the area manger for this store has more important stores that he cares about. What a shame because this store is making a once prominent San Antonio business look horrible. I know the Millers wouldn't have stood for this back in the day it's to bad the current upper management allows it."
