"after a year rubbed back in the mill and was pleasantly surprised by the updated menu with additional vegan options. there are many beside dishes, a caesar salad, flatbread, appetizers, and currently a curls on the dinner menu that are all clearly labeled vegan. our waitress was vegan and was well versed in recommendations. they had vegan brioche dinner rolls paired with a parsley olive oil type di that was phenomenal. we shared a few side parts and a flatbread everything was very tasteful and beautifully plated. the chef really have some thoughts in some creative vegan dishes that leave their taste bud entertained."

"The service was outstanding; we were warmly welcomed and offered coat check. Our waiter was very friendly, and since it was a slower night, our food arrived quickly—within ten minutes of placing our order. Now, let’s talk about the food. It was all fantastic! We started with three appetizers: the French onion soup, which is one of their signature dishes (or so I hear), foie gras, and frog legs (which I was initially hesitant about). We thoroughly enjoyed all of them, and we weren’t too full to savor our main courses: duck and lamb shanks. My fiancé declared his duck the best he had ever tasted, and I completely agreed about my lamb, which was both tender and full of flavor. For drinks, he chose a Duvel, a strong Belgian beer, while I had a sparkling rosé (nothing extraordinary, but reasonably priced) and Kiki's martini, which was flavored with white grape juice, giving it a sweet, almost iridescent quality that made it easy to drink. I typically don’t indulge in martinis, so I appreciated this unique flavor, although a more seasoned martini drinker might feel differently. To finish off our meal, we shared the crème brûlée, which was delicious—rich and crunchy, complete with a candle for the birthday celebration. There was some chocolate at the bottom that I didn’t care for (as I’m not a fan of chocolate), but my fiancé enjoyed it immensely. I don’t usually write reviews, but I hope I’ve encouraged others to check out Kiki's if they haven’t already. I believe they will have just as amazing, relaxed, classy, and delicious an experience as we did."

"This could be a gem of a place but the night we dined, they were short on waitstaff , the food took a long time to get to our table and then seemed overdone. Unfortunately, it was too cold, otherwise, this looks like the perfect place for sitting outside on the patio with a view of the river, open air and energetic city vibes."

"after another Steelers victory over the browns and the silvester. Eating is good, nothing spectacular, but solid. the restaurant has made good communication as it was silvester. meal was served quickly and server was efficient. I would recommend as a good place before or post game for pirates or steelers game."

"We were late for our reservation, but Chuck's kindly held the table for us. Tableside Caesar salad was amazing. Our mains were bit of a wait, but before we could complain, our server apologized and they appeared shortly after. Amazing food and portions were well suited. Our steaks were perfectly done! Due to the small delay in our mains, manager sent over a sinful skor Sundae that although we were much too full for, we devoured. Excellent service and kudos to management for staying on top of service."

"for our jubilee we have been a private, with a candle-notched eckish and with free champagne, many thanks! there were several specials other tasty decisions on the menu that we wanted to try, but we decided to choose it concentrated on the selections before the arrival. drinks: a manhattan with markers mark for me a glass house cabernet for my wife. the manhattan was made with a luxurious cherry. wow. perfect! I'm gonna use them home from now on! we shared a signboard to begin! a very large part for two with an amazing selection of gourmet cheeses and meat. it was adapted to our palate on basis of several ask. the best sortiment we have ever experienced, well done! next were the mustels and they didn't disappoint! these husks were perfectly cooked in a delicious butter-wine sauce. we are stuck with the French thema of the restaurant tested the french wobbles! loved preparation, the harbour was very easy to rule with the wobble guyere cheese! delicious! we did not participate in a desert or a desert because we were pressed this evening for another event full of time. our meal spanned over a period of 2 hours, dictated by us without problems. our waitress, sherrie, was funny and extremely attentive so our evening was perfect! a bit expensive, but eating was great. we look forward to another meal in the near future!"

"Stuck in Mickey-land for a convention, a group of us were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Oscar's at the Waldorf sounded like what we wanted and off we went. Although I'm not a lover of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual, including a smoked salmon bar, prosciutto bar and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of family's with kids, so it was a bit noisy, but that didn't really detract...everything the group of 4 tried, we loved. Only 2 things that were a little strange were that the cost of the buffet only included Mimosas, not **** Marys and there were no Eggs Benedict on the buffet??What impressed me most though was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar, it was empty, although two staff members I asked told me it would be restocked. When I mentioned it to our waiter, he came back and said they'd run out, which was disappointing. The manager came over an apologized, said they'd even sent over to the next door Hikton but they were out til Monday...not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate heaped with the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time....THAT is service."

"I had heard great things about this restaurant, but my experience was just average. The wine and spirits selection was good, but my Gnocchi was quite disappointing—very dry and lacking in flavor. The service was also mediocre; the waitress seemed eager for us to leave after our meal. I was dining with five other women we hadn’t seen in a long time, so we lingered a bit, but the restaurant wasn’t busy at all, and we probably would have left sooner if it had been. We did continue to order drinks after our meal, at least until she brought us the checks. I made sure to leave a generous tip to compensate for our extended stay. Overall, I would describe the experience as just okay. I’m willing to give them another chance to see if it was simply an off night."

"The food was tasty, but the service was not even close to what I was expecting for a higher end restaurant. They were out of half of the menu items, which we didn't find out about until we ordered them. We ordered a bottle of wine to have with dinner, and halfway through our meal we had to ask about the bottle that I could see sitting on the bar. It was plopped down on the table, no effort to pour for us. My wife ordered a steak, and it came, with no knife. I had to ask for additional silverware for my meal as well, since all other cutlery had been cleared. The food was well seasoned, and tasty, but I was really surprised about the service. Maybe the staff was struggling, as it seemed they were a bit short staffed, but by the time we were eating, it seemed pretty quiet. They were very good about filling our water glasses though, so that was nice."

"Visited for lunch and I was the only person in the place for the hour I was there. The one server working was the only person in the front of the restaurant. He did his best, and may have been taking phone orders or something, since he was gone more than he was out front and one person did come to pick up an order. With one person working lunch, it seems as if they are not expecting much of a crowd. My main issue is that it was super overpriced for a pretty ordinary experience. First, the very ordinary hamburger was 18.00. Then I was charged an extra 2.00 for fries. I had originally asked it included a choice of sides and I was told I could choose chips, salad, or fries. I had a glass of Grenache because I happened to notice the bottle at the bar. I buy this bottle of Grenache often for about 13.00 retail. Turns out it was 13.00 a glass here. So about 35.00 for lunch plus a decent tip is just too much to dine alone in an empty space in the heart of downtown for just an ordinary experience. It just feels abandoned and as if they have thrown in the towel. Maybe the more positive reviews are from those who dined in the evening, but lunch just doesn't seem to be happening here."

"A sad shadow of its former self. After reopening, seemingly under new ownership and definitely under new management, this restaurant has gone way downhill. The food, when they have it, is still very good. But don’t sit down before they tell you what they don’t have. On a Friday evening they had no fish, no pate (keep in mind this is a French restaurant) and no green salad. How can a restaurant that has grocery stores within a couple blocks run out of green salad? They also have only a few very basic desserts. Again, a high end French restaurant should have the classic French desserts and one or two less common ones. Nope. All very sad considering how good the old Mistral under the prior owner had been. Maybe Park Slope just can’t support a nice French restaurant."

"Inedible food was served to us on New Year’s Day. This was surprising and disappointing coming from a kitchen that has always served delicious food. The undercooked dough on the $15 sticky bun was drenched in a sugar/butter mixture that was barely heated through. It certainly wasn’t caramel. My roast pork hash $30) was cold, bland and sat in a pool of grease. My husband’s eggs Benedict was the worst dish of the three. Slim disks of mushy dough were topped with shaved Canadian bacon and topped with an ice-cold poached egg. The watery Hollandaise ran over the top of this mess. Every component of his dish was either cold or room temperature. It seemed very clear that the elements of our dishes were made ahead and someone was supposed to warm them up. Yuck! How can this come from the same kitchen that normally servers fluffy biscuits with pork belly, perfectly seasoned fried chicken and the best desserts in town? On the plus side, our server comped our mostly uneaten meal when we explained that there were serious problems with the quality/preparation of the food. However, it was obvious that no one was paying attention in the kitchen and the experience overall was disappointing."

"So this is particularly difficult to write as this restaurant has been one of our favorite spots for a few years now. We 've been here on a date night, family outing and hanging out with friends and it was always top notch! However we dined here again this week and what a disappointment the service was. To make it even worse, I recommended this place and came with a group of friends that were dining here for the first time and I just felt downright embarrassed. We waited about half hour just to get our drink order taken. Then learned 10 minutes later that two of the cocktails couldn 't even be made so spent another 10 minutes waiting for a revised order to be taken. Water was never offered and we finally asked for it half way through the dinner. We literally sat at an empty table for about an hour which had never happened before. When the food and drinks did come out, everything was absolutely delicious. My hat 's off to the chef! To add insult to injury, we were hit with automatically-added 20% tip included in the total of our bill for a party of 5. The quality of service we received definitely did not earn the 20%. It breaks my heart, but I think I 'll stay a way for a while until you sort your service out and find your way back to being the awesome place we loved for years."

"April 2021 Excellent, delicious food and so-so service. They require masks except when you're at the table and groups are seated every other table. Staff wear masks and they also disinfect the tables after each group. I was going to give 4 stars because the food is truly excellent with good quality and decent portion sizes for the price. But the more I thought about the service, the more it grated on me, so I'm giving 3 stars. First, when we arrived, it took over a minute"

"We celebrated our daughter's high school graduation at this restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. Our server, Mary Beth, was attentive, cheerful, and incredibly helpful. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Since we were a party of nine, they seated us in a quieter alcove, which was perfect. I would return in a heartbeat!"

"If you’re looking for a cozy yet slightly sophisticated atmosphere combined with locally sourced, homemade, delicious food where you’re treated as an important guest, then Bistro on Main is for you. My husband and I recently enjoyed dinner and cocktails there. As soon as we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted by the bartender Jess. She was kind and very welcoming. A few minutes later the manager came over to ask us how everything was.Good conversation. Great food. Excellent atmosphere. And, it’s all for a good cause."

"I’ve been coming here for years and it has continually gone downhill. A lingering smell of urine constantly emanates from the restaurant as soon as you walk by it. The “owner” James clearly and visibly treats his staff like trash while trying to smooch up “regulars”. The bar staff each and every year goes down in quality while simultaneously increasing their attitude. Their new “bar manager” “cherish” is so rude and clearly on a power trip. I feel bad for the service and sushi staff who have to endure their monarchism and bad energy. I use to send people here all the time however I heard rumors as well that they are pretty discriminatory on the race they hire for service staff as well. All things about this restaurant rub me the wrong way and I wouldn’t trust the food from a restaurant that lets a urine smell linger for years. They also push bottom of the barrel seafood for their “happy hour” shucking hours in advance and loading up on “bargain” oysters. Charging $40 for salmon at a restaurant whose highest priced item should be $40. Decent spot turned into a Joke."

"The hostess was incredibly friendly and engaging. Monique our server was so great! She made great drink suggestions and food suggestions when it came time to order. Our board was soooo good (and the pesto flatbread… beyond delicious! and there were so many things to choose from. I loooved the names of all of the drinks, the great decor and with it being Christmas, it was decorated so cute. I loved the back area with the cozy fireplace. Definitely give this place a go! We will all be back."

"When walking in the hostess didn't even look up from her ipad to greet us, it felt like we were inconveniencing her just by being there. The table we sat at felt crowded and my chair was right over the air vent, so every time the heater kicked on it was freezing for seconds then melting hot until it shut off. The window we sat next to didn't look like it had been washed in months. Our server took a while to get to us, even though it wasn't crowded and was hardly there during the meal to get anything we needed. Just didn't feel like they really wanted us there. The food was average, I was expecting at least a dinner salad for the price we paid, but no luck there. The food was definitely under seasoned, but when using the salt and pepper provided at the table it was better. The meat wasn't as tender as I am used to prime meat being, so maybe it wasn't prime? but again for the price it should have been or at least I expected it to be without having to ask. The desserts, were again, just ok. Nothing really stood out as this being a return restaurant to me."
