"Inedible food was served to us on New Year’s Day. This was surprising and disappointing coming from a kitchen that has always served delicious food. The undercooked dough on the $15 sticky bun was drenched in a sugar/butter mixture that was barely heated through. It certainly wasn’t caramel. My roast pork hash $30) was cold, bland and sat in a pool of grease. My husband’s eggs Benedict was the worst dish of the three. Slim disks of mushy dough were topped with shaved Canadian bacon and topped with an ice-cold poached egg. The watery Hollandaise ran over the top of this mess. Every component of his dish was either cold or room temperature. It seemed very clear that the elements of our dishes were made ahead and someone was supposed to warm them up. Yuck! How can this come from the same kitchen that normally servers fluffy biscuits with pork belly, perfectly seasoned fried chicken and the best desserts in town? On the plus side, our server comped our mostly uneaten meal when we explained that there were serious problems with the quality/preparation of the food. However, it was obvious that no one was paying attention in the kitchen and the experience overall was disappointing."

Very disappointed. My husband’s meal came out 15 minutes before my meal. The waiter was not familiar with the menu. Don’t think we will return anytime soon.

Service was prompt and attentive. Recommendation on “small plate” format ordering was appreciated. Pasta dishes perfectly al dente and wonderful flavor combinations. Beautiful room adjacent to a boutique hotel.

Delicious is an understatement! Great flavors, unique and inspired. Pig bell biscuits are a must. Fried chicken is excellent. Everything we had was fresh and beautiful. Great service and a very friendly helpful staff. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

very nice place, great bar and cocktails. our server at the table was so. we observed other table a with brot and butter, we were not offered. we shared 2 pasta dishes, very good, but it needed pfeffer we demanded. the pfeffer mill was thrown at our table. no great service for the prices. View menu

Food was not hot and very bland. Server seemed very inexperienced. Restaurant charges a whopping 24% gratuity! I did not see this until the bill came. Maybe it was posted somewhere but I didn’t see it. They did try and make it right but it was still very pricey and very mediocre. We used to love this place but we won’t be going back anytime soon.

If you do not participate in the Chalkboard dining experience, you must. Chef Shane's Tasting Menu brings you to a food trip that will overthrow you. Do not try to grab second aids of a course if you want to make it through the end plates (and then dessert). You don't want the fried chicken legs to MISS! Just a few of the best food I've ever eaten, my guests and I always leave in awe of the menu and experience.
