"Ok I usually don’t write as much as I’m about to but I really like the idea of this restaurant and seriously just want them to listen to this feedback. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for 16 years and I was most recently a GM I promise I mean well. It was empty when we got there at 6:30 very pretty inside if not a little mismatched but still pretty. Servers seemed disinterested in us being there. No one wanted to bus our very small table. We kept having to ask someone to take dishes because we ordered a bunch of apps for dinner. The zucchini beignets are not beignets.. they are zucchini fritters. Still pretty good but not what they are called. On this note, they come with sauce as did the falafel but both plates had the sauce mixed into a little salad and so I couldn’t get any of it on the actual thing I wanted to eat. The plates were gigantic for no reason… We ordered the hummus which was called confit and I’m not sure why but I suspect that this hummus comes in a big container and they just dish it onto a plate.. the amount of hummus that we were given could easily feed 8 people but it came with like 8 veggie sticks.. what would one do with the rest? Most likely.. throw it in the trash. It was awful. It said it had garlic lemon but it just tasted like someone mashed a bunch of garbanzo beans and added water. Definitely the worst thing we ordered. The eggplant casserole was pretty good, but really soupy. The coffee and baklava we ordered at the night with was definitely the best part but at that point the bar had been lowered. I really liked the idea of the restaurant, I would love to see them actually work on their food/ presentation/ service but I suppose the fact that it was so empty might have been telling. Wishing you the best, but we probably won’t be back."
