"We found a great restaurant in Beacon! After a disappointing experience at the Vinyl Room, we were eager to try some good gastropub food. Personally, I was so hungry that I could have eaten a live cow, but our server recommended the burger as a good compromise. The seating was a bit tight and since we hadn't made a reservation, they initially tried to seat us at a small overflow table by the bathroom and kitchen where they were unloading deliveries and folding napkins. Luckily, there were seats available at the bar which we were able to move to instead. The food and drinks were quite good. The burger was delicious and rich, although I would have preferred it cooked medium rare instead of medium well. We also ordered a salad, Brussels sprouts, and a few beers to go with our meal. The smoky old fashioned, smoked with real wood and a blow torch, was a popular choice. The service was decent considering how busy it was on a weekend evening, and all the food arrived within 20 minutes. The prices were a bit high, with the burger costing $21, the chicken sandwich $24, and beers around $10 each - but overall, it was worth it!"
