"We ordered a cake and takeout dinners for Grandpa's 90th birthday celebration. The chicken parmesan family dinner and the tenderloin with mashed potatoes brought him so much joy! He absolutely loved the cassata cake! The cassata has a delightful cannoli ricotta filling, and the green coating is made of almonds—it’s truly wonderful! Lytle picked up the cake, rice balls, and quesadilla. He warmed up the rice balls and quesadilla, and we enjoyed some of them in the car on the way. Thank you, Lytle!"

"I've tried many of the abundant pizza places in Hoboken but I didn't even know Torna's existed until I saw it on the Slice app. We ordered for pickup one Thursday evening. We tried a regular slice, Sicilian slice, chicken tenders, baked ziti with vodka sauce, and the meatball parm platter. The regular slice is nothing to write home about. There are plenty of better slices in the neighborhood, so don't go out of your way for this. But that Sicilian slice...might be one of the best I've had in life. It's light and fluffy with plenty of ooey gooey cheese. If you get a topping, they put it under the cheese, which was an interesting twist that I enjoyed. You can skip all of the other dishes especially the chicken tenders. Chicken tenders from the supermarket freezer section taste better than this. We only ordered it because we had a minimum to meet for a coupon we wanted to use, and it was supposed to come with French fries (which I was craving, and we saw it was missing when we got home). I'd definitely come back for a Sicilian slice, but nothing else."

"Inconsistency is an issue here; it really varies depending on who prepares the pizza. We recently ordered two pizzas and both were made without any pizza sauce! I suggest dining in at the restaurant instead of ordering through DoorDash, as the experience is much better that way."

"Order the cheeseBurger Pizza., breadsticks, strawberry cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake. Pizza was great! Unfortunately, the bread sticks (usually only one pizza dough) were overboiled and hard, rather simple, had hardly any taste. The preserved part of the cheese cake was disappointing for the price, even barely enough strawberry syrup provided for it, and the chocolate mousse cake were also small portions, since wel,l but it was quite delicious. If there is a next time, I will definitely order a pizza, but nothing more."

"I am giving this restaurant 4 stars because three out of the four family members enjoyed the food. The toppings are high quality and delicious. We ordered the deep dish pizza, which was different than expected but still delicious. The only improvement would be to make the crust lighter and less heavy. The chicken wings were tasty and crispy, but on the small side. I would recommend upgrading to larger chicken wings, even if it means a higher price. Overall, I believe you will not be disappointed if you take your family here. I highly recommend this place! I will be in the area for a month and am looking forward to trying their pasta. "I am very disappointed in this place. I live directly across the street from them andI give them my business all the time, However, I will never give them another penny or endorsement.Time and time again, I called to order some food from them and they arbitrarily announced that they are closing early.Tonight, on a Saturday night, I called them at 9:30 (15 minutes before they close at 9:45 p.m). and they refused to pick up the phone. After incessant calling, the lackluster staff reluctantly answers the phone and announces that they are closed even though all I 'm asking for is a cold sandwich (and, as I mentioned, it is 15 minutes before closing).I have tried to win over Ms Sourface (who I suspect is the owner 's daughter) time and time again, with politeness and overtips and yet nothing. The only person who has any shred of integrity that works there is the owner and I 'm sure he 's not there tonight.It 's bad enough that they keep shortening their hours of operation but even after the fact, they won 't honor even that.I work in the industry and this business is falling far short of the expectations that one would demand of even oneself. What a bummer! Caveat Emptor (Let the Buyer Beware)"
