"there for lunch with my friend, the service was slow and the eating was okay. we ordered from the lunch menu, nabeyaki udon, huhn teriyaki Bento box and land combo. the nabeyaki udon that I ordered was made with sparing and sweet kartoffels as toppings. what? there were additional toppings as mentioned on the menu, but it looks like they were just being put in my eating scrap. the tempura was sharp and tasty. the bentobox and the sushi combo were average. in the past I also ordered the fried calamari, it was atrocious, somehow soggy and tasted simple. the waitress looked unorientated and overworked, but she was very nice and real."

"The dish itself was lacking in flavor; this was not the Japanese curry I am familiar with. Frankly, I could make a curry with more depth of flavor at home. I felt misled. My boyfriend was also dissatisfied with his fish dinner, mentioning that it seemed overcooked. I even suggested another dish for him as well. Overall, it was a significant disappointment. I also noticed that the decorative counter light was turned off — were you preparing to close early? It feels quite rude and unwelcoming to dim the lights during operating hours, making the atmosphere too dark. I thought I heard rap music playing, which isn’t exactly relaxing or in keeping with the traditional vibe one would expect. Lastly, the condition of the bathroom was unacceptable; it was quite off-putting. Perhaps you could allocate some of your menu prices toward improving cleanliness? "Kirala is not for the cheap esser. Japanese food costs more than average, and Kirala is at the higher end of prices. I had to wait 30 minutes, and I came there before the wait got bigger. The ambience is beautiful, with a modern feeling. I was pretty sure the sushi reels will be small as most noble Japanese places seem. I ordered a California roll, rock and roll and a tuna and avocado roll. I was right because they weren't too big. They taste very good. The seaweed around the sushi actually added sushi taste and texture. The Californian role seemed like it had real crabs or something because it tasted better than the typical one. I really enjoyed all the roles, although it was very filled. A damn shame it costs so much money just for a few small rolls. They have excellent food and a beautiful atmosphere, but the long waiting period and the high prices bring the experience easily. Good place for a nice date, or if you like pamper yourself in fine Japanese food (and you have the money to burn)."

"The food was delicious. Door dash pick up order, it wasn't east quite on time, so I had to wait extra, but they did have some folks eating in and then someone was there working on their register system. I haven't been here in a while and I was pleasantly surprised with my food order. I tried something new-Superstar roll and I loved it. Will be back for this roll! I also enjoyed a California roll. Their take out containers are perfect sized for sushi-no bulky boxes, my only complaint was that the double knotted and tightened the bag. I appreciate a good tie, but I literally could not open the bag- I had to rip it open. Lol! It was overall good for the quick lunch pickup!"

"The Omakase meal was okay, but not worth the price of $200 per person. The soup was too salty and there was unnecessary tobiko on everything. Additionally, there was a lack of actual sushi and mainly side dishes were served. The fish tasted fresh, but overall it was a disappointing experience. I was expecting traditional Omakase sushi, not a knockoff kaiseki meal."

"Solid choice for a dizzying array of sushi rolls, generous sashimi, and other delicious Japanese fare. I 'm mostly a takeout customer, which is tricky business here on Yelp due to Yelp 's deceptive pricing model. Select takeout on Yelp and it says no fees. OK, sure. But then you 're steered to a menu where the prices are more than 20% higher compared to Yo Sushi 's Website or ordering over the phone. That 's just wrong, and Yo Sushi 's complacency in these shenanigans keeps them out of 5-star territory. This isn 't to say that the convenience of staying on Yelp isn 't worth something (though something less than 20% to be sure). It 's just offensive to be tricked into thinking they 're offering something for free when they 're really not."

"This place has seen better days I was here with a friend once at lunch, and another time for dinner with a small group. At lunch it was near deserted... at night, a bit more lively for sure, but still had that we 're going to seed, slowly feel to it. The food is ok; not terrible, and also not cheap, which is somewhat astonishing because the mall that it is in is somewhat low end (except for the Trader Joe 's, everything else has that yuck factor associated with it). You can do better for sushi, easily, and the hot foods are only slightly better. Go elsewhere."

"Even though I'm not a sushi expert and have only been to Japan once, I am from New York! I can't compare this place to other sushi restaurants in San Francisco, but I can say that the service here was exceptional. The staff was attentive without being pushy, and when I asked for a recommendation between two rolls, the waiter gave me a great suggestion that I really enjoyed. I'm used to drinking a lot of fresh green tea in Vietnam, so I was pleasantly surprised by their dry green tea. They even let me take a picture of the tea bag to remember it before I leave California. I tried two rolls and they were both excellent. I also had some sushi pieces for some extra protein and they were perfect too. The edamame was fresh and perfectly boiled and salted with kosher salt. The large hot sake was served at just the right temperature, not too hot. Overall, I couldn't imagine anyone being disappointed at this restaurant. It has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that even made a New Yorker like me feel at home."

"Food looks great in the images. Spot seems small and cramped. Some would call it cozy. Sunday evening place wasn't too crowded yet the food took for ever. Asked for salmon and asparagus and was told you can only get it for lunch. Got salmon teriyaki instead but instead of veggies comes with Miso soup and garden salad. The type of salad that tastes straight from the ground cause you can still taste the dirt. Waiting around for water refill also took for ever. Looking around I can see customers facing each other with blank stare of hunger. Everyone looks painfully hungry as they wait for their food. Personally annoyed and getting ready to walk out as they still have not served our food. They bring out a dish then have you wait another 30 minutes for the next dish.
