"I?m writing this as a common review for both the Iselin and East Windsor Khasiyat locations, as everything is excellent and standard when it comes to the quality/taste of the food and the customer service. Haven of Parathas that?s how I?d like tocall this place. They have numbered their variety of parathas from 1 100 that you can literally play a game of closing youreyes, pointing your finger randomly over a point on the menu card and order that number of paratha. We usually order couple ofparathas and a chaat item whenever we visit a Khasiyat. Hands down, they have the best parathas in town. How could someoneconsistently make the best parathas when they have a large array of choices to pick from?! They are business smart andenvironment friendly when it comes to the plates and cups they use. They don?t give your dishes in porcelain or plastic but theyuse hard paper/wood material that?s easy for them to dispose. But the downside is the size of those plates or cups. You have avery small circumference to work through your hands on the dishes and it?s not an ideal experience when you eat. I?m not sure ifthis will reach the business for them to consider and improve but this is the reason I rate this place a star lesser."

"Do you have a cousin in the family who is unknown to most of your relatives? You will relate to this Mithaas location in Piscataway compared to its grand cousins in the Edison and North Brunswick locations. I?m surprised with the mixed and mostly bad reviews. This is the closest to our home and can make quick runs to it when we have unplanned guests coming home. We've had only sweets (desserts) and some chaat items taken home from here and looking forward to dine for a lunch or dinner meal soon. They have a clean restaurant with a huge parking and the staff are very receptive to your questions and requests. The taste without even having to mention, is outstanding. If you are new to Mithaas and have no clue on what to try for the first time? Try the Kesar Badam Milk drink and you wouldn't stop with just one!"

"We had taken our friends here for a Saturday brunch. We ordered a few different types of paranthas, paneer vegetable, mixed vegetable and dal along with some starters. I also ordered a buttermilk. The paranthas were good. But the buttermilk came at the end of the meal when we were all done with the food. I had specifically mentioned that we would like to start with the buttermilk. Moreover the buttermilk tasted weird. When I asked them to not charge us for the buttermilk, the person just made a face and charged us anyway. I was disappointed with the customer service."

"This is one of the good vegetarian restaurants in Houston, and I must say that the food was exceptional. I particularly enjoyed their chaat, dosa, and all the delicious menu items. My personal favorites are dahi Puri, Mysore masala dosa, paneer dosa, Chole Bhature ? However, I was a bit disappointed with the service. While the food was served very quickly, I couldn't understand why they still asked customers to wait in line for a long time to place their orders. The process of taking orders definitely needs to be improved and made more efficient. Despite this, I would still recommend this place to anyone looking for top-notch Indian vegetarian food in Houston."

"Mega sketchy. Ordered from app: description of curries says rice is included but we received none of the two we ordered. Shop as listed on the app (Tick Tock Tikka House” is not on the maps, but I drove to the listed address only to find a shop with a different name “Kokila’s Kitchen”. They confirmed they fulfilled our order but were puzzled about how we found them and asked confirmation of the address that is on the app. They said rice is not included and you have to buy it separately, and when I showed them screenshots they said “We don’t write that description, Uber eats people do that”. They finally gave me a single portion of rice that I didn’t have to pay “just for this time”. Place was not the cleanest and one of the “mild” dishes was pretty hot. Avoid."

"I highly recommend avoiding the Soy Chaap Biryani at this restaurant. I only tried this one dish, and I found it to be quite unpleasant. I seriously doubt the restaurant knows how to make biryani properly. It seems like they prepared it with overcooked yellow rice and some biryani masala, then tossed in chopped Beyond sausages, hoping that a pressure cooker would mimic the process used for chicken or mutton—this approach does not work. Instead, I ended up with undercooked, slimy pieces of soy chaap mixed into the mushy rice, with each ingredient remaining distinct rather than harmonized. Considering the price, it was extremely disappointing."

"Food was alright they really need to up their game overall to deserve a Michelin. We ordered chaat, chili noodles, ajwain paratha, butter chicken. First, I also wanted masala fries and they said “we are strict about serving this only to kids”…duh! Second, they tell me after taking my order that ajwain paratha is not available…so why take the order and have it on the menu that you’re publicising as “this is the first day of the new menu”? Shouldn’t you have food on the first day of the new menu that is actually available? Third, after taking my order a guy just came and starting taking the second plate in front of me when they already knew i was waiting for someone to join me for dinner; had to stop him. Fourth, the chaat was some chaat but def not delhi chaat as on the menu. Fifth, plates weren’t changed between starters and main course, nor were side plates provided for breads. Sixth, the guy beside me was served warm beer in a warm glass…lol SO much to improve to be a good service restaurant, let alone be a Michelin star"

It's a convenient one-stop shop that saves me a trip to larger chains like Shop Rite or King Kullen. Every employee is polite and ready to help; they not only direct you to Aisle 14 but will accompany you to find the item. The owner is kind and fair, handling customer service issues with grace and professionalism, making customers feel valued. A major highlight is the deli/kitchen, which serves prepared food that rivals the best local restaurants—it's truly authentic. The store is immaculate and well-kept. Located just 1 mile south of Old Country Rd on Broadway (Rt 107) in Hicksville, the prices are very reasonable. Badshah means "King," and it certainly lives up to its name!"
