"Just moved to boston with my boyfriend. I used to work at a Japanese restaurant in college and since moving here I have yet to find a sushi spot that isn't overpriced and/or overrated Until we came across this spot yesterday! We sat outside and ordered 4 sushi rolls (one not pictured). Really cool date spot. Can't remember all the names but the one on the left (my personal fav) was the princess maki. The roll on the right is the volcano (my boyfriend's fav). Service was nice and friendly. We just ordered from Zen again on doordash lolBig fans!"

"Before I begin the review, I want to be crystal clear. The service was fantastic. Truly. Very attentive and upbeat. However, I have gotten wayyyyy better sushi at some lil store front family owned place. The rolls are EXTREMELY over priced for what we got. A salmon roll and Boston roll which were loosely wrapped, not very full and super tiny and a hot roll which was also small, 2 drinks, no apps. Ended up costing $70. Also the lights are so low I can barely see the person I am with. Sorry but there is wayyy better sushi, both in quality, quantity and price. This place gives me “rich ppl who have no idea what good sushi is and have money to blow on nothing” vibes."

"Hidden gem! I took my husband here last night to celebrate his birthday. I called in for same-day reservations for bar seating and luckily they were able to accommodate us. We found parking right behind the restaurant. We were warmly greeted by the host and our server Alex. We decided to go with the omakase including appetizers and we are so glad we did! We started off with the best red pepper tofu soup... it doesn't sound amazing but the taste was mind blowing! Followed by 6 more appetizers, then onto the freshest nigiris. Our sushi chef Yoshis knife skills were on point. You can tell he takes pride in the way preps the fish. He picked literally the BEST nigiri for us... we were happy with every single one that came out. Our favorite was the cheek toro! The price and number of dishes depends on when you are full so it can fluctuate. They also brought out a plate of desserts and sang happy birthday to my husband! It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back for just nigiris so we can try more of it without being too full from the appetizers."

"On July 25th instead of driving to Visalia we decided to come to Reedley to celebrate a family birthday. We have always loved Sansei but this visit was underwhelming. Since they do not have table side service anymore and have to order everything at the cash register the service wasn't as attentive as I remember it being. We order 2 Tarantula rolls, 1 Red Dragon, 1 Sansei Blossom, 2 orders of baked mussels, salmon belly nigiri and an order of Inari. The tarantula rolls tasted mainly of cream cheese and rice, you couldn't taste the soft shell crab. The baked mussels were over cooked which made them extremely chewy. It was also very frustrating that if you wanted another drink or an additional dish you had to get up from the table, wait in line, order and pay at the register. I'm sad to say this was not what I was expecting from a hometown restaurant that has always been good. We should've drove to Visalia"

"Toro Restaurant is a lovely spot to enjoy a diverse range of Korean and Japanese cuisine, located on Main Street in the Village of Fishkill, NY. We've dined indoors, experiencing both Korean BBQ and sushi, and both visits have been delightful.
