"Hidden gem! I took my husband here last night to celebrate his birthday. I called in for same-day reservations for bar seating and luckily they were able to accommodate us. We found parking right behind the restaurant. We were warmly greeted by the host and our server Alex. We decided to go with the omakase including appetizers and we are so glad we did! We started off with the best red pepper tofu soup... it doesn't sound amazing but the taste was mind blowing! Followed by 6 more appetizers, then onto the freshest nigiris. Our sushi chef Yoshis knife skills were on point. You can tell he takes pride in the way preps the fish. He picked literally the BEST nigiri for us... we were happy with every single one that came out. Our favorite was the cheek toro! The price and number of dishes depends on when you are full so it can fluctuate. They also brought out a plate of desserts and sang happy birthday to my husband! It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back for just nigiris so we can try more of it without being too full from the appetizers."

I had an amazing omakase experience sitting at the bar with the chef. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the service was outstanding. The atmosphere really captures the authentic essence of Japanese sushi.

This is one of the best sushi restaurants in Orange County. I dined here with a friend, and we chose the omakase option. Every part of the meal was outstanding. The chefs truly take pride in their work, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend it!

Portions were super small and the rolls were very disappointing. The rolls had very little fish and for $14 I would expect more than 5 measly pieces with very little fish. If you're looking for an extraordinary sushi experience, Chef Makoto is the place to go. It's definitely one of my favorite sushi spots. Words and pictures can't fully capture how amazing it is! From the remarkable sake selection to the sushi and the perfectly cooked rice, everything is absolutely divine. I would rate it an 11 out of 10!

Their food is good . Price is high for omasake. The weird thing here when I couldn't make an appointment at the bar. They said all r fully booked but when I came there with friends. We seated at the table until we leave. They r still have seats at the bar. That's not fair for us . Maybe they keep the seats for friends or for who couldn't show and let us seated at the table . They should change the bad system, who's come first at the bar will serve first. This way they do unprofessional and disrespectful clients as well.
