"Ah, La Mer Seafood Market in Armonk, NY, where good times and seafood come together like old friends. This marked a long overdue first visit to this little gem to which I have learned it has been serving fresh seafood to the Upper Westchester scene for nearly half a century. But here's the kicker – fresh seafood never gets old, and neither does the charm of La Mer. Now, when you're friends with a guy like Chef Sean Wiener, you know you're in for something special. Sean's the maestro behind the scenes, and he's been around the culinary block. He's not just cookin' up dishes; he's weaving together coastal seafood classics, a touch of Jewish soul, and a pinch of those exotic Asian flavors he picked up on his travels. But what really makes La Mer stand out is the family vibe. When you walk through that door, you're not just a customer; you're part of their extended family. They'll greet you like an old buddy they haven't seen in ages and, trust me, they can't wait to serve you up some goodness. In a world where trends come and go faster than last night's dreams, La Mer is a timeless classic. It's where tradition shakes hands with innovation. So, if you find yourself anywhere near Armonk, you've got a date with La Mer Seafood Market. Get ready for a warm welcome, a belly full of heaven, and a reminder that fresh seafood is always in style – just like good friendships."

"DONT COME HERE IF YOUR NOT WHITE. The owners are extremely racist and they will make sure you feel uncomfortable as soon as u walk in; you just feel their eyes already judging you as u walk into the restaurant it’s the two overweight Italians specially the lady. I am a regular at this place I go there so much that the servers already know my order. The servers are very nice and friendly. I always tip them accordingly, I never have left without tipping except for today because our waitress left early so her coworker took the table and just gave us the check so of course like I’m sure any other person you wanna tip the person who actually served you but unfortunately she left for w.e reason so when we went up to pay we hit no tip on the machine and automatically the racist owner started giving us a talk about how she doesn’t know if we’ve ever went to a restaurant but it’s not the same as fast food and we have to tip.which is absolutely absurd and a crazy way to treat you guests, when you first of all don’t even know if we left cash on the table (which we sometimes do. My boyfriend actually knows the waitress we had today because it’s his cousin and was going to send her her tip through cash app to make sure she was the one who got the tip since she was the one who served us. Which I didn’t think I would need to give an explanation to anyone. Especially knowing that tipping isn’t even mandatory. She than pulls out her pen and says that we can add the tip on the receipt which I said no because our waitress left and she said it’s doesn’t matter you still have to tip it’s a group effort. At this point I don’t even want to tip at all because it’s just insane the way she is talking to us and demanding we tip which I have no problem doing because I am also a tipped employee. Personally I would never demand someone tips me and if I did I would never speak to someone so rudely like she did to us. She acted like we were caveman that have never stepped into a restaurant before knowing we go there many times a month. I bet if we were white she would never even have the courage to ask why they are hitting no tip. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!!"

"I went to the new location upon an early opening when they weren't cleared for their license yet so can't comment on the alcohol but they seemed to have a great selection. They offered us complimentary glasses of wine which I thought was wonderful andtasted quite good. I got the rosemary thyme chicken and cauliflower side and I will say the cauliflower was much more satisfyingthan the chicken. Perfectly charred and the citrus notes worked well in the cauliflower. However the menu stated the chickencame with mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and a gravy which I thought sounded amazing and what led me to pick that. However, the server never said anything about the dish being completely different upon ordering it nor when I received it. I wouldn'thave cared much or thought it was a big deal, likely would've chosen something else, but the lack of transparency and notcommunicating was a bit strange. I decided to try it anyways, the yucca fries were good but I could barely eat the chicken. Itwas well seasoned but pink on the inside and couldn't stomach eating it. It didn't look like it wasn't cooked all the way- notreally sure what it was, but wholly unappetizing. My two friends ordered the grouper and raved about it, it lookedincredible! Overall, 3/5 stars. Disappointed with my food and the lack of communication about it but the overall service wasgood and a nice welcoming atmosphere. I don't know that I'll try it again but glad I got to."
