"Awkward.. My biggest issue with this place is layout; the largest seating area is directly to the right of the front door, so when we arrived, and a 'Budweiser, ' event was taking place, we stood outside the front door waiting for the individuals standing at the table and blocking the doorway to finish their raffle. The other tables around the perimeter are seating for 4 5 people, some seated by 1 individual desiring table space with no alternatives for individual seating. The bar, tiny and completely filled gave a little more elbow room than the only other alternative; the outwards facing small counter space that lines the left hand part of the room beware: if you sit here, you will be dodging elbows of the pool players that lack adequate space to co exist with anyone not playing, and the counter is not large enough for a pizza, or even large enough to use plates for appetizers. This is all if you can get past the horribly uncomfortable seating and the cold rush of wind as the doorway to Subzero opens repeatedly. It feels like they tried to hard to make half of this area 'bar like, ' think, The Avenue stretching their space restrictions thin.<br/ <br/ The decor was awesome! From what we could see upon turning around as the side counter seats face the white, blank backs of posters that grace the windows looking out was a good mixture of rustic/metallic warehouse esque styling complete with a brick and wood bar back facade, well lit with warm, inviting lights.<br/ <br/ We picked up the 'Forget me knots, ' soft, doughy knots that are said to contain garlic butter and romano cheese though, ours didn 't contain either however, they were a great 'breadstick, ' app outside of the fact that they only served them with 3TBS. of marinara.<br/ <br/ Thankfully, we also sampled a tried and true favorite; 'Humpy 's Hummus, ' which, of course comes with a heaping scoopful of hummus and all the accoutrements you could desire cucumber, olives, tomatoes and feta with crispy flatbread with a soft center.<br/ <br/ We came for beer and left with having only one each; the tap handles are only visible from the bar and we were uninspired.<br/ <br/ The service was wonderful with community regulars filling in the holes and adding the professionalism of our industry experts.<br/ <br/ I 'm not going to write these guys off but I 'm not going to go again unless I can get one of the very few tables wish me luck next time! Though, maybe I 'll just go down the street to Fat Ptarmigan for a guaranteed table, instead. <br/ <br/ *UPDATE: I visited a second time mid week, mid day and it was empty; allowing us to gain a table much more comfortable by the door and play some pool. Our server was affable, and got us our beers fast though, I could wish for a little bit of a better selection, or at least one that changes more often that being said, it 's good to see local beer on tap! . We ordered the 'Park Strip Veggie, ' $19.00 but received 'The Trailhead, ' $17.00 though, I was the only one that wasn 't a fan of the flavor. It came with soft steamed squash, carrots and broccoli that were pretty tasty on their own, however. I was completely enamored with their salad, 'The Wedge! ' $9.00 : 'Crisp iceberg lettuce wedge topped with spicy buffalo bell cheese, bacon crumbles, fresh tomatoes and green onions. '"
