"UPDATE 6 22 24: It is now 1:31 a.m. I HAD FOOD POISONING from this restaurant. I had to send my husband out to get charcoal tablets for my stomach. Thank goodness there is a Walgreens in Elizabeth that is open at this hour. Otherwise I 'd probably go to the hospital. I had stomach pains since early this evening after I dined at your restaurant. The food keeps repeating on me. ALSO, I logged on and saw that Fujiyama Mama responded. NOTE: THEY DID NOT CONTACT ME as they wrote in their response. They are full of it. Not only did I get BAD SERVICE, but also FOOD POISONING. ORIGINAL REVIEW 6 22 24 If you 're looking to have a romantic evening DO NOT go to this restaurant. It 's completely classless and dirty (which I will get too) and the food is awful. First, my husband and I had the worst waitress. She had zero personality and major attitude problems. If she doesn 't like her job, go somewhere else please, and let someone who WANTS to work have her job. We just got there, just got seated and she approached us. I said, We just got here. She actually MADE A FACE at me!! What is this HIGH SCHOOL? Our food came erratically. We got our salad before the drinks. Then my husband got his food. Then I got mine. I ordered unfiltered sake which came in a bottle. The lousy waitress didn 't even offer to pour it for me my husband did. She never checked on us to see if everything was okay (it wasn 't). And she never brought us water. NO CLASS! And she finally perked up when it was time to pay the bill, as I 'm assuming she was expecting a good time. Mind you, my husband is the nicest person in the world. I suggested to give below 20 percent tip. He said, That 's what I was gonna do. In our 19 years together, I never saw him tip less than 25%. Well, this loser waitress lost out big time! She was the pits. When we got up to leave she was finally perky, saying, Goodnight guys! It seemed she was happy to get rid of us. We didn 't even answer her and we ALWAYS thank every restaurant and shop we attend. It 's just our thing to be friendly. Now, on to the food The dressing was watered down, and the salad was only the whites of the iceberg lettuce. No shredded carrots, no cucumber, not even green parts of the lettuce. I had three vegan sushi rolls. The rice was overcooked, so I didn 't finish and started eating some of my husband 's plate. Whatever sauce they used on his vegetables I had an allergic reaction and my skin was tingly afterwards. (I eat very clean and whenever there 's a lot of chemicals in my food this happens). Also, my flat stomach felt like there was a rock in it afterwards. Something in the food was probably bad, stale, dated, whatever.. I just feel so yucky after dining there. As we were leaving, a little kid was putting his hands all over the glass. His father said, Don 't touch, it 's dirty. EWWW SO GROSS!!!! I felt sick to my stomach afterwards. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. We used to come here 19 years ago and it was decent back then. It progressively went downhill. It also smelled funky inside. NEVER AGAIN!!!!"

"Posted on March 16, 2015 by Dee — No Comments Is it sushi? Is it a burrito? It’s both! Well technically, you could say it’s one big sushi roll that hasn’t been cut into sushi? I heard about Sushiritto a little while before I headed down to San Francisco, but when I mentioned it to a couple friends here they were put off with the idea of a gigantic sushi roll. Which is understandable to some sushi purists, but Sushiritto isn’t for them. While the concept is simple, the fusion hasn’t been done to this level of mainstream appreciation until now. What I liked about my Sushiritto is that contrary to what I thought prior to entering the busy shop – it isn’t 80% rice like I thought it would be. No, it was actually a fair portion of ingredients stuffing this delightful roll to maximum stomach happiness. The flavour is nice, mild and with a bit of crunch because of the roll I went with which was the Geisha’s Kiss (yellowfin tuna, tamago, piquillo peppers, yuzu tobiko, lotus chips, Namasu cucumber, butter lettuce, avocado and sesame white soya . It is definitely filling, so one sushi burrito is good to fill you up for lunch. They have other interesting flavours like Sumo Crunch (shrimp tempura, crab , Porkivore (oven roasted pork belly , Caballero (sake-asada beef, kimichurri sauce , Mayan Dragon (chicken katsu, purple peruvian potatoes and several more on their menu. If you pass by a Sushiritto (and trust me, they’re hard to miss with that lineup! – give it a try for a delicious, quick lunch (or in our case, a snack! . Check out their website and menu here . "Everyone I know and talked with loved Sushiritto, they'd remember how it was like getting it in SF downtown and looked forward to it. So obviously when Sushiritto opened in Burlingame, a lot of us were excited and happy about it as we don't have to go all the way to SF or Palo Alto to get one anymore. Unfortunately, the store looks like they are operated in a way to just maximize profit and not maintain what they are known for, the quality of the food and service. They don't even have a proper well invested banner set up, just a cheap print of the Sushiritto on a cheap paper. They seem understaffed a lot as well. Every time I am looking to buy Sushiritto, they are closed at 7:15pm. Despite saying they are open until 8pm. The staff weren't attentive and seem drained to work. I see people wanting to buy but are baffled by the Closed Sign, disappointed. The price has definitely gone up a lot too, you used to be able to buy a Sushiritto under $10, but now it's closing in to $18-20 (Adding service charge or what not), with that price you can most definitely dine somewhere else and get a full service including tips still. It just doesn't make any sense. Overall, I'm sad that their service has gone down the hills. We all love Sushiritto and want to see it thrive, but unless something changes in the management and maybe more effort to boost their employees and staff morale, I don't see Sushiritto growing or surviving. I will still buy from them but I'm not optimistic about their future."
