Delicately smoked salmon, tender and flavorful, with a hint of the sea.

"I take out food frequently at pasta prego. I usually order the seafood linguini, always a delight (5 stars) but today I ordered Chicken Marsala. A big disappointment! The chicken is very dry and I am guessing not organic and the pasta that came with it, not interesting. That dish deserves a zero star, the sea food linguini 5 stars… so I averaged to 3 stars"

"Nello Restaurant is Delicious Cool. Nello Restaurant on Madison Avenue in NYC is located in the heart of the world's best shopping district. It is across from Hermes. The people watching from the sidewalk cafe is out of this world as is the views from inside the elegantly decorated decor. I had the lobater ravioli which as heaven. The lobster was so fresh and there was so much of it! My boyfriend had the sea bass (we love fish). For the appetizer we shared the chicken liver dish which was a meal in and of itself. We sipped on Bellini's and enjoyed the cool vibe of the restaurant. People were beautifully dressed and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The music was cool. The waiter was knowledgable and friendly. The drinks were heavy handed pours. We dined and lingered and laughed and let satisfied. The owner, Nello Balan, introduced himself and check in on us to make sure everything was ok. He was friendly and well spoken. We loved our meal. We would definately go back!"

"Amelia (waitress) and Mike (wine expert) were amazing. The food was really good. The only thing we didn’t like was the amount of noise inside. Also our dessert was a little more basic than we thought it would be. It was actually quite comical. If you have a nut allergy do not eat the bread offered. We had to substitute it for regular garlic bread. We were offered bread with nuts in it about 3 times. Also comical. Even had other customers, tables away, laughing. Other than that we enjoyed our meal, the service, and the random conversations with some of the other customers there. Would definitely return."

"Shame on Open Table. We have loved this restaurant, made a reservation for a birthday celebration, and arrived to find the restaurant closed and the contents liquidated. NO ONE CALLED. Luckily we contacted another restaurant who accommodated the party and we moved that location, albeit having a much later celebration that night. Someone should have called to let us know that the restaurant was no more and Open Table should have known this... Makes me question how well you stay in touch with your restaurants. Now you contact me to have me rate this closed restaurant. Please get your act together."

"WOW! Amazing Italian dining in Boston, walking distance from Harvard Square. Our party of 5 came on a Thursday evening with NO reservations around 7pm and were pleasantly surprised to get a seat on the high top tables adjacent to the bar area and open kitchen. It 's a beautiful restaurant with variety of small tables, booths, and longer tables. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Food: DELICIOUS! AMAZING! Fresh made pasta and wonderfully crafted pasta sauces, and proteins. The pictures speak for themselves, and you really cannot go wrong with any choice. So much so that our group each chose a different dish for ourselves and shared a little with each other so we could try as many different dishes. I can 't really pick one favorite, since they all were delicious. I would say it depends on what you 're looking or hankering for. On this night, I was really drawn to Pappardelle pasta, so that was my choice. But really, if you were looking for a type of pasta like gnocchi or farfalle or rigatoni, or a type of sauce or protein...so many options to meet your needs! A MUST TRY in the Boston area for sure!"

"As always the service the attention to detail and many thanks to the owner Joe. Luce Ristoranti e Enoteca is a tucked away gem. If you’ve never been then it’s the right time, if it’s been awhile it’s time to go back. This is our favorite Italian Restaurant in all of SA, we have been to the best and the not so good too. When you expect Al Dente thats exactly what you get. The Australian Lamb Chops, Steaks, Seafood, Veal Chicken are cooked perfectly to your liking. Plus they have wines galore whatever you like they got. They sell one of the best if not the best pizza’s in town, cooked in a hearth oven. You don’t have to dress to the nines just casual and presentable. We have our very own wine locker there as well. It’s very convenient because you can stop for pizza and wine with family and friends and you can grab a bottle or two from your wine locker and the wine is paid already. Our favorite place in San Antonio. 5 Stars and I mean that. Try it for yourself you’ll see why I’m ranting. Ed Lolly"

"We went for Valentine 's day. It was okay! Not great... but okay. The bill was around $130 (not including tip) for the two of us, which was the highest restaurant bill we 've had on a date night thus far so I was pretty disappointed that we considered the food merely decent and the service a bit less than decent... Details below for those who care to read: We entered and there was no host to take us to a table for our reservation. After I watched the waiters pass us and another couple who entered behind us, without care for around 5 or 6 minutes, I approached a waiter in the dinning area and told him we had not been helped at the front. It was another 5 or 6 minutes before anyone came to greet us. It seemed like it was our waiters first day as a waiter, which bothers me because I expect waiters-in-training at applebees, but not when I 'm spending this kind of money. He was kind, though. My beer was flat after it had a head that filled the top half of my glass and spilled over onto the table, as it was still very disturbed and growing quickly. I had the lasagna and it was okay but had very little sauce so it was a bit dry. They had three dessert options and they ran out of the one my girlfriend was looking forward to trying. Way too much money to leave with 'meh. '"

"Overall a delicious meal in a beautiful part of LA. It would fall into the hidden gem category for me as it’s too small to host the large amounts of tourists or the college crowd like some other places can/usually do, but that can be a good thing sometimes. Parking is very hard in this area so valet is the best bet $10), but the lot they use is very small so when crowded you may have to wait a bit. Our server was a bit inattentive and took awhile to come to our table, but she was very nice and all the busers were so quick with the refills and removing the plates it made up for it. I love the look of the place on the inside, it’s brick lined with fish tanks on the walls and darkly lit which really creates a welcoming mood and would be great for a date but also works for casual as well. I started off with the appetizer special, the Dungeness Crab Buratta and it was very good. The crab was a great start to the meal although it was a bit expensive. For my entrée I chose the local Red Snapper which was truly delicious and cooked perfectly. I ate every bit of it and would get it again. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great meal at a more off the usual path location. There are not many, if any, sit down dinner options in this immediate area so it’s nice to have this option."

"My husband ordered the pasta Carbonara, ate every morsel and thought it was delicious. I had the daily special of Sea Bass. The fish was cooked perfectly. The polenta as a side was fine but the flavor of the tomato ragout was too powerful for the delicate flavor of the fish. Service was exemplary. As for prices, the pasta was priced reasonably but the sea bass was very pricey."

"I can't give a zero rating, but I would if I could. We chose Pasquales because it had good reviews. We should have read the bad ones.We were celebrating our 15 year wedding anniversary and had noted the reason for the celebration on our reservation. We were seated in the corner of a noisy area with two large tables. The waitress, while nice, was so busy that she rarely checked on us. My husband ordered a steak that was terrible: grissly and under cooked (definitely not the medium rare he had ordered). When the waitress was finally close enough to our table so we could catch her attention, she took the steak back. She changed it for a better cut of steak, but rushed it so much that it was rare inside not at all what my husband wanted. My pasta was fine, but tasteless. The garlic bread was dry and not garlicky. When we paid our bill, the owner didn't ask about our dinner or our experience she didn't seem to care but she made a point of happily welcomeing people who she seemed to know.We eat out often, tip well for good food and service, and return to our favourite places. We like to try new to us restaurant. We were hoping that Pasquales would have become another favourite. Our experience was terrible and we will NEVER go back."

"We came here last night for dinner. 1st time here. I remember years ago somebody had mentioned an Italian Restaurant off of East Avenue in Livermore. Nice place and overall nice atmosphere. They have some outside seating (several tables from what I saw). They also have 2 rooms to accommodate parties or special event and a full bar that looked like it stayed busy with their regulars. We ordered some drinks and my martini was made to perfection (actually both of them lol). I started with a large Caesar Salad (to keep it real not truly large). I think (of course everyone has their own opinions) but the dressing could have been a little creamier but I could taste the anchovies that were mixed into the dressing. Nice but not overpowering. I like anchovies and ordered some on the side. My wife had their Beet Salad. I think the portion could have been slightly larger but she said it had a good taste. They also provided some freshly baked bread that was really tasty. My mom (it was her Birthday) ordered their Lasagna and she really enjoyed it. They give a very large serving and she said their red sauce was fantastic. Not heavy but she said it had great flavor. The way it was constructed was also done really well. I ordered their Fettuccine Primavera with Pesto and fresh vegetables. The waiter asked if I wanted to upgrade for $3 to their fresh made pasta (of course I do) but the dish could have had more pasta, especially since I upgraded but oh well. I liked the flavor but my wife felt that it had to many Pine Nuts. My wife ordered the Terra Mia Pizza (a 12 Pizza) that had eggplant and mushrooms with a light red sauce. I liked their pizza and felt it was prepared very well. Since it was my mom's Birthday, she mentioned she liked Tiramisu so I ordered one to share. The waiters brought it with a candle and sang Happy Birthday in Italian. That was a nice touch. The Tiramisu was delicious. Overall we had a very nice dinner with very good service."

"I recently dined at this wonderful Italian restaurant known for its dedication to using top-quality, simple ingredients. Each dish showcases true Italian flavors, blending tradition with a modern twist. The homemade pasta, cooked perfectly, is a standout. The freshness of the ingredients truly comes through in every bite. The service was outstanding and the cozy atmosphere made for a delightful dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for a truly authentic taste of Italy."

"My favorite restaurant in New York, which I make a point to visit every week, never fails to impress me. The owner always greets me personally, treating me with kindness and respect. The waitstaff provides attentive, personalized service that makes me feel special. The food is exquisite, and I appreciate how flexible they are with the menu, allowing me to customize my dishes with additional ingredients. At some point during my meal, Mario, the owner, takes the time to sit down with me and check in on how everything is. I always feel at home in this sophisticated, old-school NYC restaurant. I’m so grateful this place exists, serving the best Italian cuisine in the city. —Katarina"

"the food was decent. I had the salmon salad and my friend had served the fillet mignon special with blue cheese and a maissalat. the salmon was raw what was unexpected, I'm not sure that the menu said. I'd rather have cooked it. there were notations attached and the dressing certainly gave the salat a good appeal. it is a very common salat that they could definitely get from many other restaurants the filet looked great and the blue cheese and the sose took it to the steak, it itself was not so seasoned. my friend did not even touch the maize side, as it was not seasonal either. server seemed nice. the bar-tender made us quite good soft drinks. the atmosphere was beautiful, although the space was limited and felt a little tight. there are no cabins and most tables are small 2 seats or a 4 seats. I'm not sure I'm coming back here, but it was funny trying somewhere new."

"We had lunch at Franks for the first time, and it had a sports bar vibe. I began with the PERE È NOCCIOLE salad, which was one of the best salads I've ever tasted. It featured a light balsamic and honey drizzle, nice greens, slices of pear, and toasted hazelnuts. My dining companion ordered the smoked salmon arugula salad and thought it was excellent as well. For my main course, I opted for a small special margarita pizza. It was a good size for one person, but I was disappointed that the center was quite soggy, and there was surprisingly little burrata cheese on it. Our server was friendly, but there was a small issue; he left my pizza but didn’t check in on us afterward. He turned away before I could ask for red pepper flakes and I didn’t see him again until I was almost finished."

"A well deserved 5 stars for Matt and Valentino at Roma's! This is my third time here, and the service has nothing lacking. After red umbrellas caught my eye a few months ago, and a growling stomach, we wandered in. Matt is not only friendly and hospitable, but hecka funny too! Make a repeat visit and he'll tell you about the history of Roma's. Come back a third and he'll tell you about what this place was prior to what it is now. Now, onto the food: The smoked duck lasagna is dynamite! You don't have to ask for extra sauce, it's already a given. You won't go wrong with it. Unfortunately I do not have any photos to add to this, but some previous reviewers have done it justice. The burrata is a classic! Valentino will quickly make changes as the season calls for it. I've had it with figs and then again with roasted peppers. Both ways are so, so good. And finally, if your on the fence about the rosé, go with the Bertani! Deliciously crisp, smooth and a favorite for sure! Wonderful and authentic Italian food, paired wonderfully with amazing service! You won't be disappointed with coming here."

"Overall good food, excellent attentive staff. Price is expensive. Soup, 1 pasta, 2 chicken and 1 fish and 3 desserts cost over $160 without tip. It's been over a year since we last dined here and remember it as much better. Lobster Bisque was fishy tasting and very thin. Past dish was fair, Chicken dishes were OK and Shrimp dish was good. Food overall was good, but I'm giving La Catena 4 stars because of the service which was very good. Even though the meal was very good, I expected better for what I would consider fine dining, Next special occasion I will probably think of another establishment to give a try."

"We have been dining at Le Colonne on Christmas since 2019 (except 2020). The food is always good, we especially enjoy items with their traditional red sauce. We had an eggplant appetizer (which I plan to get as a meal next year), homemade ravioli, osso buco, cheesecake and a couple of cocktails. All of the food was very good, and of consistent quality to prior years. Our only concern was the price of the cocktails and dessert- our fault for not asking ahead of time, as the prices for those items are not listed on the menu. But all in all, we were very happy to enjoy another Christmas day dinner at Le Colonne, and appreciate that the owners are willing to spend their holiday open to the public. We will be back next year."
