"This charming Italian restaurant in the heart of Park Slope, Brooklyn, offers a delightful dining experience. I visited with my family for lunch on a Monday, and we nearly had the place to ourselves. The food was exceptional, and the service was even better, though it was on the pricey side (over $450 for four people, including two bottles of wine, coffee, dessert, and tip). Our server, who seemed to be a family member of the owners, impressed us with his ability to recite the entire menu from memory, mentioning that he had been working there since he was 12. He provided excellent recommendations for our food and wine choices, with each table conveniently set with a bottle of Italian wine to spark inspiration.
I particularly enjoyed the Caesar salad, which might be the best I've ever tasted, and the eggplant parmesan, uniquely presented as a long, flat, fried filet. However, I found the calamari to be average (not bad, but I’ve had better), and the cheesecake made with ricotta instead of American cream cheese didn’t suit my taste as much—I prefer the latter.
Given the cost, this restaurant is more appropriate for special occasions rather than regular dining, but overall, it was a delightful experience."
