"Now, moving on to our food ordering experience. With two separate tables, we ended up with two different waiters. However, even having two waiters resulted in delayed orders, duplicate dishes, and some items simply not arriving at all. I understand it was a busy Saturday, but things kept going wrong. One of my guests waited an entire hour for their meal only to be told that the kitchen had run out of meat. There seemed to be a significant communication breakdown between the kitchen and the staff. I will say that one of the managers was very apologetic and tried to make amends by offering a discount and a complimentary drink. A discount sounded nice, right? Well, not quite… By the end of our reservation, we were all just eager to leave. To expedite things, we decided to split the bill evenly. The following morning, as I reviewed the bill, I realized we had been double charged for several drinks. It’s unclear how the two waiter/two table system was supposed to work, but it clearly fell short. Additionally, for the menu items that were mistakenly brought out twice (due to server error), we were told those would be removed from our bill, but they weren’t. So, even though we received a discount due to the chaos, we actually ended up paying more. I think from now on, I’ll stick to visiting Tabu with just one other person, and definitely not with a large group."

"El Bolero is a perfect spot for a festive cocktail and meal. We met for dinner before a concert downtown. The drinks are outstanding, finally had the famous Oilman Margarita . Its beautiful and it doesn 't disappoint. I love the queso here- it 's my favorite in Dallas, and the chips are crisp and lightly seasoned. The food is delicious- I had the vegetarian enchiladas, my friends had the burrito, barbacoa tacos and soup. The side of fried okra was delicious. Dessert was a treat- we shared 3 options. Our favorite was the caramel filled churros, followed by the fried ice cream and then the Dulce de Leche Neopolitan. The waitstaff are nice and the dinner was fun and relaxing. They are not pushing you out, and the service is a little slow. Go with time to relax and unwind!"

"We had a group of 8 people, the food was decent, but the service was not great. We had 2 people waiting at our table, they forgot to bring plates and did not clear the empty plates at our table almost the entire dinner. They would bring the food/drinks out but didn't pick up the empty plates even though we stacked them at the end of the table. The restaurant was pretty light and we had to flag them down to order drinks/food. Then the waiter mis-ordered our drinks...it felt like he wasn't really paying attention. Thank goodness, the food orders were correct. In any case, I would grade this place a B on food and C- on service. I would not come back again as I felt the staff was not friendly, especially the hostess. The waiter was nice but he was not paying attention."

"New favorite place for happy hour! This may be a ?tacos only? place, but each taco has so much flavor!! Each taco takes you on a completely different adventure than the last. The tacos are small and pricey, but totally worth it! The details that go into the flavors all the way down the the plating were just impressive. One of the best margaritas I?ve ever had. You have to try the Korean Fried Chicken, Pork Belly, Seared Shrimp, and Braised Short Rib Tacos!! The Queso Guac were solid choices as well. We can?t wait to go back and try the Smothered Frites Street Fries. Highly recommend for some artisanal tacos!!"

"Everything was great until we tried to eat the Baja fish taco and realized it was raw. Thankfully I cut it in half first or I would’ve eaten raw fish, which I definitely shouldnt while pregnant. When we told the waitress she acted like it wasn’t a big deal. We eventually got a new one once we were done with everything else, it was just ok. The waitress did take the taco off the bill, which was nice since we hadn’t asked. The margarita my husband got wasn’t great. I would go back but would definitely make sure to check that everything is properly cooked before eating."

"We visited this restaurant for a family birthday celebration with our two children (ages 2 and 7) and had an excellent experience. The service was outstanding, with our server proactively bringing both adult and child-sized cups to our table without us having to ask. As a vegetarian, I especially appreciated the queso fundido with mushrooms, which was a delightful option. We dined on a weeknight when it wasn't very busy, but everything from the service to the food and drinks was top-notch. We will definitely be returning!"

"6 family members gathered for brunch and holiday fun, but the experience was disappointing. We were not greeted as we walked in (first ones at opening) but we were told immediately that our party had a total of 90 minutes. Once we were seated, our server tried to take our drinks but she kept getting them wrong, although she told us of the $18 bottomless mimosas, but then warned us that we couldn’t share or we would be charged a fee. Once we ordered, several dishes came back wrong. So we waited more. The food itself was good, most of us ordered chilaquiles, but it was mostly tortilla chips with your choice of eggs on top. No beans or rice (traditionally served). Several of us ordered coffee and we had to keep looking for our waitress for refills. She was not readily available. They never came back to refill mimosas, which were plain and we could not taste any bubbly. I do not recommend."

"Reservation didn’t even matter. We still had to wait 45 for a seat at the bar. There weee other groups waiting at the door who also had reservations and had to wait. Hostess didn’t even ask any names on reservations. Just asked “do you have a reservation?” Lots of empty tables that hadn’t been cleaned sooooo why such a wait time? Bartender was extremely rude. She literally cursed at us under breath for asking for the counter to be wiped off bc it was super sticky. After one drink she said “oh we ran out of limes” but our food came with limes so make it make sense. Food was cold. Music was too loud. Just a horrible experience all around. Management was no where to be found."

"We visited this restaurant on a Friday evening, just before the nightlife crowd arrived. The food came out fairly quickly, though our drinks took a bit longer. Overall, both the food and service were excellent and reasonably priced. Everyone we interacted with was laid-back and friendly. Initially, it was a bit noisy, making conversation difficult, but once the happy hour crowd thinned out, we enjoyed a much more relaxed atmosphere at our table. We were fortunate to secure the corner table at the front, which we really liked. We left just before the music started and had a wonderful evening. Regarding dietary restrictions, one member of our group has an intolerance to corn and was able to find suitable options on the menu."

"We made an Open Table reservation for 8pm. We arrived at 7:45 and restaurant was about 1/2 full. We said we had an 8pm and indicated if they were not ready we would wait. We were shown to a table though we requested a booth, when we asked politely about a booth we were shown to a minuscule booth with a dirty table and menus kind of flung at us. We then waited 15 minutes to be greeted. If it wasn’t for an attentive bus boy, we would never have seen a waitstaff. He cleaned our table, brought us water and then our server. Our server was a peach. No issues with her and we left 25% tip for her and busboy to share at her discretion. Food was so-so. Chuy’s down the street was 100 times better!! The next day Open Table sent an email asking why we were no-shows. Front of the house will be my reason for not returning."

"The place is tidy, and the staff I interacted with were friendly. There’s a wide variety of shops, and it feels quite spacious. My only complaint is that, while there are some store brands, there aren’t many larger brands (like Aritzia) or stores that offer sustainable products. Nonetheless, it's definitely worth a visit."

"I booked Parker's Hilltop because it was in Clarkston and close to DTE Music theater and we were going to a concert. The place was very spacious and very nice! I would love to sit at the bar next time I come. The beer I had was amazing and the pierogis where delicious! Oh, and the fried pickles were soooooo good!!! This was a great place to enjoy some great food and drinks before hitting a show at DTE which is usually when I go out to Clarkston. Would definitely recommend to anyone"

"This place has great tasting food served at a reasonable price. Service could use some improvement, especially during busier times. We came in early for dinner, around 6:00 PM on a Wednsday and specifically reserved an inside table for 9 of us to celebrate a birthdate. Even though we got there 15 minutes early, the hostess gave away our table in the private room and tried to seat us outside. Winter time is quest cold even with the heaters and we did have some elderly folks with us. We got seated 20 minutes past our reservation time at a much inferior location inside compared to what we specifically reserved. Food was great, service could be improved."

"My husband and I were vendors for the Steppin’ Out Street festival, and we basically ate every meal (both takeout and dining in) we could at Cabo! Best fish tacos we’ve ever had, best fried plaintains, best steak burrito we could go on and on. The chef is clearly a master of his craft. The manager even came to see how our meal was and we had a great conversation with her the staff are just as wonderful as the food! I wish we had them in our own town, but we’ll settle for coming every time we visit Blacksburg in the future. "This was a great restaurant! The prices were reasonable and the place filled up in a blink of an eye. We came for late lunch/early dinner at recommendation of my dining companion who had been there before. We ordered chai lattes but cafe lattes were brought out instead. The waiter (I forget his name) was kind and immediately made us chai and we didn’t waste the cafe lattes either! I found both delicious but my companion preferred the chai. My companion had the chicken fried steak which she has had before and enjoyed, I had the hatch green Chile burger which was yummy. I would’ve liked more green chilies, which I asked for extras, though it was forgotten. Not a big deal and I still enjoyed my burger. As a tourist, I loved the Sopaipilla with honey wow! I wish I ate more, looking back on my pictures now while reviewing."

"Maybe it's because we had such high hopes based on all of the wonderful reviews, but what we experienced was not great. The wine selection and wine was wonderful. The service was lackluster, friendly enough, but not very attentive, one person was just eating the entire time we were there. The food was the biggest disappointment. We were so excited to try it and the nachos were good, but barely had any chicken, but still good with great homemade chips. The pizza was very disappointing. We got the fig pizza and it was the most basic thin crust, with barely any flavor. Based on the glowing reviews we expected amazing, flavorful pizza with super friendly staff. Maybe it was because it's a Tuesday night, but based on this experience, we won't be back for food again."

"What a shame to Mexican cuisine. The food lacked visual appeal and simply tasteless. Had the Chicken Mole and it was serve with white rise ?. The Chicken was dry and hard with a crisp bitebto it and the mole was kinda old looking and the taste was horrible. The steak salad was also bad. The Carne Asada was overcooked, almost charcoal looking and appears that they don't marinate to give it that Carne Asada taste. It was so bad we didn't eat either. The drinks however were goot. I guess that's a good thing when combining with bad food. Juat have a few drinks before eating so your not able to remember what the food taste like.If you've never had authentic Mexican food then you probably won't know the difference in taste and you may actually enjoy this place. However those of us that grew up in a Mexican household, this food is simply embarrassing to our culture. Just because you make it look trendy, doesn't mean it taste great. I recomend you hire a Doña to show you how to truly prepare Mexican Dishes because this is simply not cutting it."
