Savory samosas topped with tangy chutneys, spices, and yogurt, offering a burst of flavors in every bite.

"I ordered delivery. The food was packaged very well, no spillage. After reading many reviews a lot mentioned that the food was a bit spicier than expected so I took the advice and ordered it medium level, glad I did because 1 level more would have probably been a bit much and I like a fare amount of spice. Everything was delicious and will definitely be ordering again in the future!"

"Google won 't let me give ZERO star rating for this filthy place. This is the worst and the most unhygienic places I have been into jersey city.We were served breads in a very old UNCLEANED basket which was clearly not washed in months. When I complained about this to the staff (two persons, one at a time), the literally laughed and took the container and went away. The other acted like he was on the phone and just went away. This was very very unacceptable, rude behavior and wrost customer service. This is the so called responsive staff members they have. I will not be visiting this place ever in my life. If you wanna have unhygienic, contaminated and filthy food, then go to this restaurant.VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE."

"Tasty vegetarian food. Very good variety of dosas. Their chutneys are good but not amazing. Puree/Poori was good but very oily inside. Choley was salty and not anything special to write about. Their indo-chinese menu items like Chinese Bhel starter and Schezwan noodles or fried rice with paneer are excellent.Restrooms are conveniently accessible but could use a face-lift. Passage around the kitchen leading to Restrooms is disappointing. Staff are always friendly and courteous, but don't give good answers to questions, besides being very casually dressed which makes the dining experience seem like a university dining visit.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian only restaurantWheelchair accessibility: Very difficult to find handicap accessible parking. You have to pull your vehicle in front of the restaurant entrance to conveniently unload person in wheelchair, though that seems unsafe with vehicular traffic.Entrance and restrooms are easily accessible by wheelchair"

"The wait time was terrible, the service was terrible, and the staff was rude. We ordered soup, chili chicken, and chana batura on a weekday at 6:30 pm. The soup and chili chicken arrived, but we had to wait 40 minutes after finishing them for the main chana batura. When we asked for the reason for the delay, the person in charge rudely said it takes time and they have many deliveries. We wanted to cancel our order, but he didn't even apologize. We had a 2-year-old with us who was also frustrated and started getting fussy waiting for the food to arrive. I would never return to this place or recommend it to others."

"Delicious, fresh, with impressive variety of styles and flavors! Best dosa I've had since I lived in California and there was a restaurant chain that specialized in them... this is a good place to try this dish if you've never had one before. I must add GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS gluten free options Gluten Free Options to help other Yelpers looking for a restaurant experience that won't sacrifice taste or authenticity for having GF options. My only disappointment, ironically, was the GF naan and only because I ordered the garlic version, and I guess that the way it is prepared, the pieces of garlic cloves are burned in the process (if you like that overpowering burned-garlic taste go for it! . I may have been expecting a garlic butter instead based on other restaurant experiences, so my bad. Next time either plain GF naan or none at all, and I'll be saving room for a dosa! And a FULL BAR with cocktails that use a South Asian spin on the classics. Such a find and easier/faster to get to from NNJ and other parts of Rockland than you might think, plus easy strip-mall parking!"

"The flavors here are fantastic! We ordered butter chicken, chicken curry, and butter naan, and everything was delicious. They will ask you about your preferred spice level. Since it was our first visit, we opted for mild, which turned out to be quite gentle, so we'll definitely try something spicier next time. We will certainly return! The service was excellent, and they even offer complimentary mango soft serve, which was light and tasty. If you're looking to step away from the usual dining options in Jacksonville, this is the perfect spot!"

"We frequent this restaurant quite a bit. We decided to make an online order this time. I was unpleasantly surprised to find that by doing this instead of calling in. The priced are considerably higher. There is no information to let you know this. The way I happen to find out is when I went to pick up my order I grabbed a menu. I called the restaurant and was told, this is the policy of the owner because they use a 3rd party for online orders."

"I really dislike giving this place a poor rating, as I genuinely wanted to enjoy it. The staff seem like such nice people, and the prices are quite appealing, but unfortunately, the food just doesn’t measure up. I've had much better Sambar for just a few more dollars. I was hoping this would become my go-to spot in the area, but sadly, that’s not the case. I truly wish I could share only positive feedback, but I believe it’s important to provide honest reviews so that others can make informed choices. The people here are lovely, but I’d recommend looking elsewhere."

"I highly recommend this restaurant for their quality of service and delicious curries. The staff paid close attention to our needs and recommended dishes when we were unsure what to order from their extensive menu. The downstairs seating area is spacious, with a small outdoor dining area as well. The goat curry was perfectly cooked, with tender meat and a non-greasy curry. The chicken curry had well-cooked chicken and the right balance of spices. I appreciated having chapatis as an option for bread, which is not common in many Indian restaurants. The restaurant has a homely feel. The only downside was that I wasn't a big fan of their momos, as they lacked flavor."

"I have been going to Cosmos Indian Cafe frequently now. Their cuisine excellent with good sized portions for very reasonable price, and there are lots of veg options. Their fresh samosas with vegetables, served with fresh samosa sauce and homemade cilantro chutney, are my favorite things there. I can also recommend their vegetable Korma and vegetable Biriyani, which has a tasty veggies, yummy! . They have a collection of Dosa, Uthapam and Idli's(Steamed rice cakes with delicious coconut chutney, tomato chutney and Sambhar (dal soup with vegetables are delicious. There are plenty of dishes like Chicken curry, chicken Biriyani, and chicken Tikka for any meat eaters that want to come eat. Cosmos Indian Store Cafe is a very nice addition to Lawrence customers. The staff was friendly/efficient,Usually it is pretty busy on the weekend. The atmosphere is pleasing. Good place for indian food lovers."

"Having heard a lot about this place I thought of giving it a try today and it did disappoint. Initially went in for khasta kachori but they didn't have it which is fine and then settled for bhel Puri. The Bhel Puri arrived minus Puri and tbh what can we expect here? The chutney though was added in large quantity which made it sweet and sour rather than having a dash of spice. They missed out on masala dal too which always brings flavor to the dish! The restaurant has self service but the ambience is really bad. The floor seemed sticky and the tables weren't cleaned. The cakes on display felt as if they had been there for a long while and the staff felt it wasn't' much interested in serving the customers. They could either improve their service or look forward to winding down in the future as the competition increases around them."

"I was really REALLY looking forward to this buffet. The last time I had Indian buffet was in 2019 nearby Philadelphia and I thought it was tasteless. The last good Indian buffet I had was at the golden peacock at the venetian hotel in Macau and taj mahal hotel buffet in new Delhi. Paid $25 including tip.Maybe this is a one off but after the meal, I had diarrhea immediately afterwards. I immediately thought it might be the water but had to remind myself I am in NYC.The food was a disappointment. Everything that I tried, but the tandoori chicken, lacked Indian flavor. For instance, I felt like I was eating pink sauce rather than a masala tomato cream sauce. Chicken was moist and tender though. The palek paneer tasted one dimensional, the paneer was good. The dal tadek felt slightly authentic (like a free non veg meal at a Indian temple) but I don't come to Indian buffet to just enjoy lentils.... The goat curry was ok. I didn't try the egg fried rice even though it looked really good. The naan was thin crispy and good. Didn't try the vegetable samosa. The Gulab Jamun was ok, could've been more tender, lacked the rosewater and butter flavor that I'm accustomed to.Service was really good. Very accommodating.Atmosphere I rated lower because it was warm and humid inside the restaurant. I was sweating constantly. Probably won't go back to eating Indian buffet for a very long time unless I'm traveling to India or Macau."

"I recently dined at Bombay Spice and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! The restaurant is definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in the area, if not the best. The vada pav was hands down the tastiest I have ever had in all the NJ restaurants I have eaten in. The flavors were rich, authentic and perfectly balanced. What really stood out to me was the excellent presentation skills. Each dish was beautifully arranged and garnished, making it not only visually appealing but also appetizing. The restaurant has an excellent ambience with painstaking attention to detail. The decor is elegant and inviting, and the atmosphere is warm and cozy.Furthermore, all the items we ordered were incredibly tasty. The menu offered a wide variety of Indian delicacies, and everything we tried was delicious. The staff was also very courteous and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.Overall, I highly recommend Bombay Spice to anyone looking for a fantastic Indian dining experience. The food, service, presentation, and ambience are all top notch. If you're a foodie or simply appreciate good food, you must visit Bombay Spice you won't be disappointed! I would give it a 5 star rating without hesitation.Vegetarian options: Easy to find options for vegetariansParking: It has probably 10 spots so might be difficult to find parking on a busy Saturday night"

"I ordered a paneer Chilli and specifically I told them to make it mild spicy, they assured me multiple times they will make it less/mild spicy, in turn when I reached home and my family ate it, The food was DISASTER, they don't understand English I think and they most spicy Chilli panner we ever ate, horrible. Our couple of family members had diariah because of extreme spice, we have to throw some of it in the trash bin. I highly recommend to avoid such place where their is so much of communication problems, where restaurant people do not understand basic instructions in English."

"INCREDIBLE! From the presentation all the way to the most important part: FLAVOR! Every bite was just as impactful as the first. An explosion of flavor. Their house made green chutney is next level. So unique compared to what your average Indian restaurant offers. It has a more liquid consistency vs being overly thick and chunky. Goes great on the complementary naan, and the rice, as well. I had the Chicken Korma, and it was nothing short of amazing. So rich and creamy and absolutely jam packed with savory flavor. I spoke with one of the staff about acquiring ginger beer, as it is my favorite drink with Indian cuisine, and hopefully they are able to add that to their menu. It is a 30 minute drive for me, but I will GLADLY make that drive for this food."

"This is a review for their lunch buffet: Their lunch buffet is about $16, which sounds steep, but it 's actually reasonable, once you know what you 're getting. Though I 'm not sure if it 's the biggest indian buffet in New England like they claim, it is indeed bigger than any buffets I 've seen in the area. Also, you get an assortment of drinks included in your purchase there was unlimited soda, bottled water, tea, and MANGO LASSI. There was also plenty of protein, and the goat meat was quite good. Also, their Tamarind sauce is on point. In the last couple years, I 've seen some other indian buffets cheap out and their Tamarind sauces taste terrible now. But these guys have good Tamarind sauce. Staff is friendly too."

"I've dined at the downtown location several times and have always enjoyed my meals there. However, I recently had dinner with a couple of friends at the Upper East Side location, and the quality of the dishes was inconsistent. Those who ordered chicken seemed quite pleased, while those of us who chose vegetarian options had a few minor issues. For example, the cauliflower in my dish was noticeably undercooked. On a positive note, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely consider returning if I'm in the area again."

"We've been coming to Tabla for years we just celebrated our dad's birthday here and it was fantastic!!! We had a couple of special food requests such as lactose intolerance and ordering an off menu item. Needless to say they did a great job accommodating these requests and went above and beyond with our dinner! Our waiter was very attentive and charismatic, joking around to make sure we were having a good time. Even the owner and then the chef came out to wish my dad a happy bday! They made a special gulab jamun dessert just for him and played a song on the loudspeaker On regular days, they have equally delicious food and attention to detail. The location itself is spacious and well designed, with a big window overlooking the street. They're right next to Sook Pastry, which is a big plus. Luckily, parking is easy, as they're across the street from the new parking lot and they've usually got some open spaces on that road. Especially on Sundays when parking is free. However, they may get less foot traffic since their door is not obviously marked, and they're not on the central Ridgewood street. Nevertheless it is worth the visit! Thanks again for a great celebration!"
