"Every time my wife and I stroll through Highwood, we always pass by Maria's Cafe. Recently, we decided to finally give it a try for lunch. We ordered their gnocchi special, and it was outstanding! It literally melts in your mouth and is paired with a delightful red sauce. They also have a huge selection of pastries that look absolutely tempting. We sampled their cannolis and were thrilled with how delicious the pistachio and chocolate varieties were. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. Keep in mind that seating is limited, so if you plan to dine in, it’s best to go at a time when it’s less busy."

"My rating is based solely on a takeout order. I ordered a 12” pizza with black olives and mushrooms, along with an order of calamari. The woman who took my order mentioned it would be ready in 25-30 minutes. When I arrived for pickup, the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere perfect for dining in. Calamari can be hit or miss with takeout, but this was quite good. It came in smaller pieces, including rings and tentacles, with the option of marinara or cocktail sauce. As for the pizza, it was exactly the kind I love—cheesy, greasy, with a thin, crisp crust and generous toppings. I would definitely be happy to return. Give them a try!"

"My husband I just returned to La Volpe for an early dinner. We don’t go here often and then question why we don’t after the delicious dining experience we always have here. The quality of the food preparation, the pride taken by the chefs, and the appearance of the courses is outstanding. The time between courses allows for the food to settle. You are not rushed through your meal and dinner becomes an event. Part of this experience is the waiter. This evening we were so fortunate to have Yaberson. He added to the whole experience of our evening. He is very, very knowledgeable of the food selections. He is actually the manager but was filling in as a waiter tonight. His description of the food items, suggestions for the future, and attention to our courses made us feel special and well cared for. He is truly an asset to La Volpe. We will return more often in the future. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!"

"We were small group, eight to be exact. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms. They were delicious. We asked about the sauce in the mushrooms, and there was a pasta served with the sauce. The waiter said 'Penne a la vodka '. Five out of the eight of us ordered the penne. I went simple, baked spaghetti with sausage and peppers. But the cook went too simple. The spaghetti was absent of flavor, except for the natural flavor of the sausage and peppers, which were at the bottom of the plate. So while the majority of the group was savoring the vodka sauce, I sat regretting my choice. At least I had tasted the mushrooms."

"On my first day in New York, after exploring Manhattan for almost 4-5 hours, I decided to try the famous New York pizza. Based on reviews, I chose Patzeria and it definitely lived up to its reputation. As I was alone, I ordered a slice of Margherita and Grandma pizza. Every bite of the two pizzas was absolutely delicious. The sausage was perfectly mixed with the crust, giving it a marinated flavor with a hint of crunch. There was a cozy outdoor seating area where I could relax and savor the flavors of the evening. The total cost of both pizzas and a beer came to $17, which was well worth it. Would definitely recommend trying Patzeria if you're a pizza lover."

"I always order from here usually once a week when we have movie night at my house. Pizza is always hot delicious. The xlarge plain cheese pizza, meatball topping pizza, onion mushroom topping pizza, spaghetti/meatballs or meatball sub are always delicious. Meatballs always fresh, wait time usually 30-45 mins but worth it. Delivery man is nice. Definitely will recommend this place. Just wished their wings weren't so dry."

"We held my daughter's baby shower at Siena Italian Creative Cuisine 1/7/24. From start to finish, Alex and his team were incredible. The team of servers were nothing but professional, accommodating and overall, just a pleasure! And the food was delicious, I had the pasta primavera and the penne was perfectly al dente. So thankful we chose them to hold our celebration. Everything was perfect. "If you're a boxing fan then you'll love all the art/pictures on the wall. It seems to be the local bar for sure and every town has gotta have one. I went for a quick lunch and was basically the only person in the joint. I ordered a turkey BLT wrap with some fries (which were store boughten from the freezer section and thrown into the deep fryer). Overall my meal wasn't bad and it was at a fair price. Natasha was a very friendly and welcoming waitress. I would go here again for lunch."

"What a wonderful discovery! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was delicious. As a fan of Mexico, I felt that this place truly captured the authentic vibe, with lots of charming Mexican decor. The dishes weren't overly salty, and there was a great variety to choose from. "This restaurant is highly overrated, with mediocre food and inattentive staff. We ordered a vegetable soup with gruyere cheese, but it was extremely salty and seemed to have Kraft shredded cheese on top. The main course (beef pasta) was overcooked and took over 15 minutes to arrive. Even getting the check took a long time, and we had to wait for change. The only good thing about this place is its advertising. I recommend avoiding it unless you want to pay $20 for subpar food. I feel sick and regret eating here. Don't make the same mistake I did."

"I tried the pizza at this restaurant when a friend brought some and was very satisfied. I attempted to place a phone order for a small cake, but when I arrived, the manager informed me that I had actually ordered a large one and refused to sell me a small cake without first paying for the large one. I was in the car with someone who had only ordered a small cake for me. The manager then called me back and told me that he would not allow me to purchase the cake because I hadn't paid for something I didn't order, and because it would be inconvenient to have a fresh large cake sliced up. Perhaps if they were not so rude to customers, it would not be a hassle to purchase a fresh large cake for slicing around 12 o'clock. The manager made a mistake and was impolite about it. I hope that this incident does not happen again because the food is actually quite good."
