"My husband I just returned to La Volpe for an early dinner. We don’t go here often and then question why we don’t after the delicious dining experience we always have here. The quality of the food preparation, the pride taken by the chefs, and the appearance of the courses is outstanding. The time between courses allows for the food to settle. You are not rushed through your meal and dinner becomes an event. Part of this experience is the waiter. This evening we were so fortunate to have Yaberson. He added to the whole experience of our evening. He is very, very knowledgeable of the food selections. He is actually the manager but was filling in as a waiter tonight. His description of the food items, suggestions for the future, and attention to our courses made us feel special and well cared for. He is truly an asset to La Volpe. We will return more often in the future. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!"

The food and service were excellent. However, the restaurant is quite dimly lit, making it difficult to read the menu. Despite that, I would definitely return.

The service was excellent, and the fig and goat cheese appetizer was outstanding. While I wasn't a fan of the chicken Dijon dish, the eggplant parmesan was fresh and delicious. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for an authentic Italian meal with a modern twist. Just keep in mind that there is a dress code and prices are on the higher side.

This place is a true treasure! The ambiance is simply captivating, making it feel like home—only better. The staff is consistently attentive and friendly. As for the food, I can't quite find the words to do it justice; just know that anything you order will be outstanding. I recently tried their Italian cheesecake, and it was like indulging in the most incredible cloud you've ever tasted. Plus, it's a family-run business, and once you visit more than once, you feel like part of the family. View menu

We initially had a party of 8 for my daughter's and my friend's son's birthday. And then about an hour or so later I had another family join. La Volpe staff accommodated with no problem. Staff was absolutely professional and we had no problems whatsoever. Food was delicious and theyecen sang happy birthday for the kids. We never felt rushed to leave and were always showered with smiles. I can thank La Volpe so much for making our family night so wonderful. Best Italian around here hands down.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! The atmosphere is captivating, making it feel like home but even better. The staff is consistently attentive and friendly. As for the cuisine, it's beyond words—everything you order is bound to be incredible. I recently had the chance to try their Italian cheesecake, and it was like indulging in the most delightful cloud you've ever tasted. Plus, it's a family-owned establishment, and once you visit more than once, you really start to feel like part of their family.

This place is truly one of Long Island's best Italian restaurants! The food is prepared with love and care and it comes through in their presentation and flavor. The selections are modest, but the recipe mastery and premium ingredients involved is second to none. Pair all of this with a wonderful ambience, great cocktail/wine offering and conscientious service, and you've got something special. My wife and I had an appetizer, 2 pastas and a dessert. The portions were plentiful and we still had enough to bring home. You will not be disappointed! View menu

La Volpe has a great pizza. We dined here few times before pandemic and wanted to visit again after clamming and fishing in the Moriches. We enjoyed “the Lenny” pancetta, arugula, truffle oil and mozzarella pizza. Dough was cooked perfect and all other ingredients were tasty. Loved chick pea salad with cucumber and tomatoes. However the veal entree was not what we expected. It was gamey and not so fresh. Service was friendly and efficient. Hostess were welcoming and bus staff constantly fill iced water. Overall we had a great dinner but will stay with pizza and salad.

My family has never had a bad experience or a bad meal here at La Volpe.. These guys know pizza and they know fine Italian dining.. Great attitudes and great service from the staff here, literally every time we stop in for dinner.. The brick oven is always going and the pizza, either by the slice or pie, is some of the best on Long Island without a doubt. The owners are good people and have a long and rich history with this area.. They?ll always greet you with a smile and take good care of you.. There?s takeout and seating in the pizza shop in the back, but for the real experience you should be seated up front in the dining room.. An excellent menu and well trained staff will make your time...

"I took my wife for her birthday, we live local but haven’t eaten in this building since many years ago. the truth is we had a certain stigma about it owing to the previous restaurant, one we both disliked even before we met. Anyway, today was her birthday, we made reservations at Daphne’s in West Hampton but bailed because of the small menu and far drive. In trying to come up with a back up plan I remembered seeing the parking lot of La Buena Vida often packed, so I looked it up and saw almost 300 reviews averaging 4.5 stars. So I looked at the menu, I saw Paella, Tapas, I was sold. When I sent her the menu she was sold.We arrived and it was a beautiful early fall/late summer night so we decided to dine out on the deck, it was a great decision. Our server couldn’t have been more accommodating she offered to re seat us if the flies from the pond were to much, they weren‘t and we enjoyed the ambiance. After looking at the drink menu, we were again very impressed with service. My wife really wanted a la. buena vida margarita, but wanted it made blue. She graciously had the bar tender added the blue liquor to change the color. When time came to order we stared with the avocado crab bruschetta, it was a great decision and service was very quick. Next was the entree order, so we both ordered paella marinera. Again our server made a suggestion and informed us its a big serving, we could easily share it an order another tapa (which means she was also a mind reader). So after seeing how torn we were, she suggested an off menu item stuffed sweet plantain and upon hearing I didn’t wast meat graciously swapped out beef for shrimp. Our food was hand delivered and served onto our plates by the chef. This service was phenomenal, but even the amazing service did not compare to the perfection of our meal. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and season, the sweetness of the plantain pair beautifully with the savory of the shrimp. The paella was also perfectly cooked, the saffron rice was amazing, with the generous amount of shrimp, scallops, clams, and mussels. The meal was very satisfying. For dessert the fried cheesecake was highly recommended and “Wow” is all either of us had to say. It was easily the apex of the meal, sweet savory, with a crunch, and a hot/cold temperatures balancing to perfection. Dessert even came with a song and ”Happy Birthday” in caramel. We strongly recommend this neighborhood gem. There is nothing like it around, the chef is talented, the staff is amazing. if you haven’t tried it yet, what are you waiting for!?Dietary restrictions: I’m pescatarian, they were very accommodating."
