"This is our last night visiting Navarre for this trip. My wife found East Bay Crab House via Google and we decided to make it our last dinner here. We arrived around 815-830pm, and if judging the book by its cover , we should have turned around and gone somewhere else. I walked in the front door and asked if they were still open. They said yes. We were promptly seated. It seems as though they are only open from 5pm-9pm. The staff were gracious enough to serve us, even though they would get off soon. We ordered the crab dip and calamari appetizers, the blackened seafood Alfredo, crab cake belle rose, and some crab stuffed shrimp wrapped in bacon. Sounds delicious right? To say we were let down is an understatement. The calamari was beyond chewy (think as though you took a bite out of a tennis shoe), the crab dip was bland, and I couldn 't find any crab in it. The best part of the appetizers were the chips that came with the dip. The entrees arrived very quickly, almost too quickly. The crab cakes were mushy. There was no structure or form to them. I couldn 't find any crab to speak of in them. The only crunch was from the green onions on top. The red potatoes served with it were tender and cooked well. It seems like the entire entree was microwaved. The shrimp. The shrimp could have been good. The amount of Bay Seasoning they put on them should be illegal. It completely killed the entire dish, and I only had one shrimp. Another let down. The seafood Alfredo. It tasted just like a jarred sauce you 'd get at the grocery store, but watered down. I would say the best part about them entree course were the hush puppies. We both only took a few bites then asked for to go boxes. I 'm really hoping the terrible quality of the food is due to this being the off season here on the island."
